I think he's a Steelers fan. I have no clue about Timmons, good or bad.

That would be because Tomlin is going to shift to the 4-3 in the next couple of years.

Workout warrior? His workouts were not that impressive. With Grubbs, Blalock, Spencer, etc. all still there, that is the direction we should have looked. Spencer was probably the best player left to play OLB in the 3-4. This pick, IMO, is a clear indication that after this season we will be playing the 4-3.

The guys one TV are idiots. "Oh my God! Brady Quinn is handling all this pressure so well! He is SOOOO calm! This says a lot about Quinn!"

So the guys sitting alone at home hoping they get picked in the 7th round or perhaps get that big money from being an undrafted FA, they must be the worlds most cool and mature men ever.

Here to hoping that Atlanta puts together some kind of package with some of their picks to move up into the bottom of the 1st to take a o-lineman.

Those guys weren't being told they were going to be top 5-10 picks. Failure to have your expectations met causes anxiety.

Harrell was rapidly rising up the boards. He definitely sounds like he has a lot of potential, so I can't crack on GB too hard. Better than reaching for a wide receiver that wouldn't do anything useful for a year or two.

He said on the NFL network when the interviewed him, that he was playing through some of the scenarios last night. So it wasn't that surprising for him and that it worked for Matt Leinart and Big Ben in Pittsburgh. So..that he was okay.

Seems grounded and with a head coach who used to coach in the NFL and knows the life of being snubbed (as a head coaching prospect), I'm sure he'll be in the kid's ear.

I don't think he's as negatively effected as everyone watching at home seems to want.

At what point does the Browns #1 pick next year become worth it for a team? (I'm guessing that's the offer on the table). It's the Browns, so you know it'll be top-10 (and that's from a fan).

Hall has been eaten alive by star college receivers. He'll face one of those every week in the NFL.

Honestly, 2 and 3 this year, and 2 next year gets them to any of these upcoming picks. They would be stupid to part with next years #1.

No, not really. I'm not sure what TT was thinking with this one.

The Packers' needs (according to me, in order of priority): RB, WR, S, TE, CB. I would've had DT nearly last on my list.

I just got caught up (was watching on delay, fast forwarding thru picks) after leaving work at 12:30. On my way home there was this guy drunk on the platform while I was waiting for the train (he was stumbling and had that alcoholic smell) He was going up to everybody and excitedly yelling "Brady Quinn is a Viking!!!" So I was a bit surprised...

I think that was a very bad move for the Broncos. I think Jarvis would have been there at 21 and they overpaid to move up.

Loved this comment on ESPN.com about Ginn:

It's gonna be great having Ginn return it to the 35-yard line to start every drive before whatever retread we line up behind center goes three-and-out.

All this shows is that ESPN and other media consistently overhyped Quinn. And ESPN, in choosing to make this the "Brady Quinn Draft Show" comes out looking like complete idiots. The NFL brass are realists. They don't draft on hype. Quinn has long been overhyped. Note that I'm not saying he is not good. He may well make a great NFL quarterback. But he has been wayyyyyyyyyy overhyped for a long time.

I am praying that Detroit trades their first next year for some team's upcoming pick, then uses it on a WR.

Has an entire city ever intetionally burned itself to the ground before?

The WRs were iffy, Olsen has no speed and can't block at TE and Hall got toasted by everyone good he played (noteably Ginn). The Packers only have one true proven DT on the roster (Pickett) and he's been hurt. Their other starter would be Corey Williams who is more of a passing DT/normal DE. By putting Harrell there, GB now has a very good front 7 and some depth at DT.

GB still has feelers out for Moss, LJ and Turner. Plus, there's a ton of value at RB, WR, TE and safety in rounds 2-4. The DT pool in this draft was pretty shallow.
