Or it could be because TCU beat its Big 12 opponents by an average of 22.8 points, while Baylor "only" had an average margin of +16.1 points. At a certain point shouldn't we give some consideration to the opinions of coaches who played against and watched multiple games of each team?

The Indiana Hoosiers ... carrying the Big Ten in football since I don't know when.

The committee has said repeatedly that they blank slate every week.

There is no move them up, move them down.

What I can't figure out is Miss St beign ranked behind Mich St, neither plays a game and then Miss St jumps 3 spots ahaed of Mich St. Of course I think everything is an SEC conspiracy theory but the net result was 3.6 MM more for the SEC teams to split based on the TV contract.

I think the best way to look at the college playoff seeding is that is how the teams were ranked if the season ended that day based on their completed body of work. Your body of work could be the 3rd best one week, but then after the next week, it's no longer the third best due to games other teams played and won.

So Scout.com is reporting that Oregon State has been in contact with Bronco Mendenhall about their opening. Seems a little surprising - yeah, he's an alum, but he's also LDS and seems like a great fit at BYU. And Oregon State is a tough job, right there with WSU for the toughest jobs in the Pac-12.

With no real place to put it so far, Funchess is going pro. Can't blame him, but I don't think he ever had the dominate season he should have.
