Isn't DT Linder the one who steals other peoples rosters, then takes credit for them and asks for donations?

I woke up at 4 AM Mountain and got the game at Walmart as well. From first impressions, the 360 version is a lot like the Xbox version last year with much nicer graphics. The gameplay is really good, and I'm having a lot of difficulty on All-American scoring. It seems to be better with the passes (some receivers drop good passes, but it doesn't happen often enough to be unrealistic) and the running game is a lot better...almost too much so. There were quite a few times I was able to pitch the ball when my QB was down or in the process of being tackled. The first time I was like cool. The next few times I waited to see how long I could hold onto the ball until I pitched it. It seems as if it's a fraction of a second too long.
Also, there was hardly anyone on Xbox Live to play. Three other people. Just my two cents after a couple hours of playing. |

I think I officially have the coolest "I just picked up NCAA 07" story of anyone on the board...
So I finally gave up trying to resist going to pick it up at about 10:15... I drive over to the EB, and at first I'm like "man, it's packed, why so many people in Williamsburg coming to get NCAA?!"... Then I realize.. There's a half a dozen or so William and Mary Tribe football players coming to pick up their copies of their NCAA, including the starting QB. They are also playing on the little demo machine there and joking each other about their ratings in game, being too fat or too skinny in game, etc... It was pretty freakin' cool to see the excitement of football players on a I-AA team that don't get a lot of national recognition really jazzed about seeing themselves in a football game.

When does someone break it to them that EA has essentially left the 1AA rosters the same the last few years (at least for a bunch of the teams W&M may not be one of them)), so those guys might not actually be them |

They were discussing that also actually.. how the QB was listed as a Soph when he's actually a Junior, etc.. They were aware, and in fact I didn't know until they were talking about it (actually made me consider not buying it)... They did update W&M's roster last year, and I believe all of these guys were at least Sophomores or Juniors, so they were in there, but not necessarily "updated"...

I went and finally bought an Action Replay too so that I could d/l rosters...
Does Lindner or someone else make PS2 rosters for d/l as well as shipping memory cards to them?

I picked this up today. I've been messing around in dynasty mode to see what they have added.
Did they have the option to generate random player names in previous versions? |

Last Year's did. I don't plan on getting the memory card/transfer kit for the 360, so that's a great option for someone like me.

I've been wondering this myself since they last released for the PC with NCAA '99. The XBox code has to be pretty easily portable to the PC, I'd imagine.

Jump the snap is in the final game according to many people on OS. Also, at least one trick play is in the 360 version - The Fumblerooski. Also, missing from the 360 version is the magazine covers (but the content such as polls, Heisman race, etc, is still in the game, just in menu form.)

Did it effect player development in previous versions of NCAA?

I'm just finishing up my first game. Ohio State Vs Notre Dame on default settings(Varsity, 5 minute quarters)
I was playing as Ohio State and won 56-32 Brady Quinn threw 4 INT which were all returned for TD's Troy Smith wasn't needed as Antonio Pittman rushed for 200 yards on 14 carries. |

That was my point. Why would the lack of a spring game effect development - it doesn't make sense.

I quick simmed the rest of the season. Ohio State lost 3 games(Penn State, Iowa, and Minnesota) we are going to play Kansas in the Alamo Bowl.
The BCS bowl games shaped up like this Texas V USC in the Rose Bowl Miami(Fla) V Auburn in the Orange Bowl Arkansas V West Virginia in the Sugar Bowl Nebraska V Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl Louisville(11-1) v Iowa (12-0) in the national championship game The Heisman Trophy went to Ryan Moore of Miami(Fla) 73 receptions 1274 yds and 16 TDs The highest QB rating was 170.3 by the QB for North Texas The QB from Hawaii led the NCAA in Passing Yards with 3,914(He had 40 TD and 18 INT) And JaMarcus Russell led the NCAA with 45 passing TD (2,933 and 15 INT) |

Well, after getting the DS from terpkristin, I decided against pre-ordering the game.
I think I'll wait till it becomes available here (ick), or just buy it when I get back home.

I'm still torn between the 360 and the regular XBox version. (PS2 I'm avoiding because I like the XBox controllers better and it looks nicer on the XB anyway)

I don't think it does. I think the point of the spring game is just to let you see what your younger guys might do, and decide if any of them are worth moving up the depth chart, much like the College Hoops Midnight madness game. |
