How about if the Raiders make the playoffs JB gets his edit button back.
If they don't his custom title becomes "I like to be manhandled".

1) I made predictions about every NFL team, including playoffs. Some will turn out right and some will turn out painfully wrong. That's life.
2) The Twins are the exception to the rule. But look at some of the things that helped propel them. A young stud in the bullpen moved into the starting rotation about the time they hit rock bottom. Although he ended the year hurt, Liriano started off 12-2 and the Twins went on a roll. Who is your Liriano? You think it's Ryan Walter? Is he the guy that is going to save your season? 3) Baseball second half surges are actually fairly common. It may not happen every year, but most years see a team or two make a second half charge. The Astros and A's have a habit of making those types of runs almost every year. It doesn't happen nearly as often in football. 4) It's not happening with the Raiders jb. The team is horrible. I've been saying it from day one, as have a lot of other people. Your problems are issues that are incapable of getting fixed overnight. 5) You are in for a really, really long year if you think this team is going to even win 4 or 5 games. |

Come on. How else are you going to get your edit button back? Why not hook your wagon to the Raider Express? I'm sure Skydoggie would agree to these terms. Live a little.

Almost all predictors and predictions are wrong, but not many on FOFC create a thread specifically to discuss their predictions. You are the Oakland Raiders of predictors. It's not whether you are right or wrong, it's the style in which you are wrong. |

I regretfully announce that all planned stops by the raider express to the end zone and also the win column have been cancelled until further notice

What is the whole custom title thing holding this up? I can be flexible on the title. Tasteful is the key word here.

For a brief moment, I thought this was going to lead to the bumping of the "How many 5 year olds can you take?" thread.

This is my favorite part from the article I linked above:
This current crew should be drinking tea and eating crumpets. Bars should scare them. It is a must read.

jb, please shut up. Why do I have the unfortunate luck to have the same favorite team as you? It's not a matter of making predictions...do you realize that you've been wrong on almost every prediction you've made? And another thing, to reiterate what others have said to you...you still have the hardheadedness to say that your predictions are still right in the face of overwhelming evidence.
In a way, I think you like to rile up FOFC...that's your schtick. It gets old fast so you may want to come up with a new schtick. |

If you remember I predicted the right score on the last superbowl. Go back and find that thread. Look why can't I have an opinion on my Raiders? What so wrong with that. There is 13 games left. Lets wait and see before jumping down my throat about my predicition If I am wrong than I am wrong. No big deal. At least I made a prediction during the preseason. I didn't see anyone here do the same. |

People get all work up here for a football predicition. Its so silly. Do people here have any life beside FOFC. Why so many people are so worry what I predicted. Everyone has an opinion. Please respect it. |

I guess the right score on the last superbowl (which is luck) counters the fact that you were horrendously wrong on the Elmo prediction. You're a dumbass if you don't know why people don't respect your "opinion". |

this from the only guy in the thread getting pissing and slinging profanity around. my opinion is that your prediction is ridiculous, and your refusal to accept that it is ridiculous despite the fact that the Raiders cant score with a 10 cent hooker is even more ridiculous, and demonstrates not that you are a true Raiders fan, but that you are a deluded escaped mental patient. please respect it. |

Not to turn this into a hockey thread, but I made a prediction that the New Jersey Devils would win the Stanley Cup last season. They went on a tremendous winning streak at the end of the season, narrowly won their division after leapfrogging over two teams who were great all year, and then swept one of those teams in the first round of the playoffs. It was looking like nobody could stop my Devils.
Then the second round happened. The Devils got completely shut down. They looked soft, they looked weak, they looked tired. The goalie, who is the rock of the team, seemed absolutely lost at times, and his teammates couldn't bail him out. The team wasn't terrible, but they had absolutely none of the spark that got them this far. The Devils lost the series, four games to one. Anyway, with that said, I predict that the Devils will win last season's Stanley Cup.

While we're on the subject of bad predictions, I predicted that Culpepper was going to be The Man at QB this year and lead the Dolphins back to the playoffs.
Man, was I ever wrong and I'm not ashamed to admit it. But on the other hand, at least there's Schadenfreude going on in the house. The Packers fan contigent, which includes most of the actives and pledges, take delight in mocking me over Culpepper's suckiness and the Dolphins' losing and I return the favour by poking fun at Favre and the trainwreck that is the Packers.

I predicted that the Wisconsin Badgers would beat the Indiana Hoosiers last weekend. Of course, it was in a werewolf thread, so it doesn't really count.
