After our loss to Dallas, we are relegated to playing a wild card game. Even worse, we are the #5 seed and will play at Minnesota. They were 10-6 this year thanks to taking care of the ball and a highly efficient offense. The rushing attack was only 14th with Marshawn Lynch leading the team with 287 carries for 1130 yards and 10 TD's. The passing attack was 11th with Kyle Wright completing 308 of 483 passes for 3831 yards with 29 TD's and 11 INT's. Overall, the offense was 9th. Defensively, they were solid against the run (6th) but 32nd against the pass. Overall, they are 31st on defense. We'll attempt to attack heavily through the air.
For the game, Lito Sheppard and Albert Harris are now 100%. Unfortunately, Broderick Bunkley will miss this game with his hip pointer. The bye would have allowed him to not miss any playoff games. Omar Gaither is going to attempt to play through a mild knee injury. The other wildcard games: Jets at Chargers Seahawks at Falcons Browns at Patriots. |

Leon Hall intercepts a deep ball on our 37 and returns it to their 49. Erasmus James with a sack on 3rd dwon to force us to punt. We stop them on our 36 and they choose to punt rather than go for the long FG. We have to punt with a little over 2 minutes left. They start around their 20. We force a punt with about 40 seconds left. On our own 23, we just run out the clock. Halftime: 14-0, we lead. McNabb is 11 of 19 for 110 yards so far. McNabb throws a pick to start the half and they return it to our 27. 2 plays later, 9 yard TD pass to Bronson. 14-7. Douglas fumbles on their 27 on our next drive. 73 yard TD by Harvey Ellard to make it 14-14. We quickly give them the ball back. Momentum is slipping away. End of 3: 14-14. Team Performance: 66/100
Franchise Value: 95/100 Profit/Loss: 63/100 Roster Strength: 62/100 Year End Score: 68 Notable Retirements: RB Brian Westbrook, Phi G Todd Herremans, Phi C Mike Flynn, Bal OLB Roosevelt Colvin QB Daunte Culpepper T Jon Jensen, Was T Chris Samuels, Was MLB Brian Urlacher, Atl TE Todd Heap, Bal WR Chad Johnson, Cin OLB Dhani Jones DT Albert Haynesworth RB Rudi Johnson RB Clinton Portis QB Chris Leak, TB We offer our scout, Bruce Etaton 3 years at 650k to come back. He is excellent with QB's and it won't be long now before I need to replace McNabb. We offer Lary Allen, a brilliant young OC, 3 years at 6.6 million to become our OC. Bruce Etaton is hired away from us by KC. I go after Calvin Hanspard, a scout from Detroit who is very good at QB's, but he is just outright refusing to sign with us. As a result, we turn to Shannon Barlow. He isn't nearly as good as I would like with young talent but he is good in most other areas. We get Barlow in the 3rd week to be our scout, but Allen took the exact same money to go to Seattle rather than come to us. It's too bad. I offered the max the owner would allow, and he would have been a great addition to our staff (was excellent in EVERY OC category.) Instead, we get the ancient Zach Bernal to be our new OC. He is 70, but he is excellent with QB's, RB's and WR's. We gave him 5 million a year for 3 years. In FA, we make a big splash by giving 7th year WR Calvin Johnson 50 million over 5 years! He had some minor injuries last year, but I think he can thrive in our offense and finally be the great receiver that could take some double teams off Ginn. Our LG Stephen Phillips goes to Oakland for 4 years and 20 million. He just wasn't a good enough pass blocker to justify keeping him. We sign G David Baas who is a poor run blocker, but an excellent pass blocker to replace him. I'm just going after best athlete in the draft, but there is a great CB and a great T that i will trade up to get if they drop past 10. It's a very top heavy draft, so it might happen. |

1. Buffalo takes A.J. Moe, an all around great looking rB.
2. KC reaches for a QB and takes Randal Prescott who didn't look that good to my scouts. 3. New Orleans takes the best player on my board, an amazing DT named Floyd Branch. 4. Miami takes Timothy Doyle, the QB my scouts ranked #1. 5. Cincinatt takes Marvin McDonald, the stud CB I liked. 6. Baltimore takes Isaac Sanders, a decent looking QB. 7. Arizona takes DT Antonio Schneider. 8. Washington takes CB Drew Reed another guy I really liked. 9. Denver takes Vince Springer, a can't miss OLB. 10. New England trades up just before I was going to.. I hope they don't take the LT that I'm looking at. They don't! They take Chester Woodson, who looks like a very good G, but LT Gilbert Zimmerman looks like he has the potential to dominate. I wonder what is scaring away othe teams? He is 6'6" 333. He runs a 5.07. He only benches 34 times (maybe the problem) but did well on the agility with a 7.22. He is underdeveloped at 17% but my scouts think he is going to be great... Then again, he has a high volatility and is only 17% developed. I decide not to trade up yet, as their is a great MLB I wouldn't mind having too.. 11. Houston takes Lamond Ballard, a very good looking DT whose only weakness is that he is a bit light. 12. Tampa Bay takes T Gilbert Zimmerman. I'm kind of glad I didn't trade up as I think his bust potential is significant the more I think about it. There are 2 great MLB's on the board, either of which I wouldn't mind having. Once one of them goes, I'll be trading up to get the other one. Houston looks great in the offseason and with another 1st round LB, I can revitalize that aspect of my defense which has trailed off the last few years. 13. GB takes TY Ellis, a CB who looks great except for terrible play diagnosis. 14. Chicago takes Jessie Borders, a very solid looking G 15. Carolina takes Leland Lyle, a solid DT. 16. Jacksonville takes Wade Thompson, a back with very high hole recognition. 17. NYG takes Duane Pinkerton, a CB with excellent M2M abilities. 18. Detroit takes the lower of the 2 MLB's on my list. Monty Hatcher is from Rutgers and he is a bit undersized. I'll gladly trade up to 19 and make sure I get Casey Richmond from Nebraska who is 6'1 241, runs a 4.75. He has a high sole at 37. He has 26 bench presses. He has a 7.23 agility and 9-08 broad jump. He is only 25% developed, but I have no reason to think he will fail. To move up 7 spots, I give them my 6th this year, my 3rd and 5th next year. Hefty price, but I think it will be worth it. 20th. Cleveland takes Carlton Borden, a solid T. 21. SF takes Russell Callens, a back with low hole recognition, but very good elusiveness. 22. NYJ yakes Charlie Rey, a WR with some significant flaws. 23. SD takes TE Burt Newhouse, a great looking TE. 24. Seattle takes Cornell Y'barra, a WR that my scout thought looked horrible. 25. NE takes Rufus Joyner, a very good looking back. 26. Minnesota takes Toby Barrett, a RB that I didn't scout. 27. Atlanta takes T Donnie Sims who is a solid prospect. 28. St. Louis takes Clyde Monroe, a strong armed smallish QB from Georiga. 29. Tennessee takes Isaac Collazo a solid looking OLB. 30. the colts takes Jorge Ridley, a good run stopping DT. 31. Pittsburgh takes Chris Oglethorpe, the 3rd best MLB in the draft. 32. Dallas takes Dusty Padavona, a small, but talented QB. In the 3rd round, we take Bryan Grier, a 6'3 300 pound C who has the potential to be great at pass blocking and acceptable at run blocking. We'll need him if our former 1st round pick doesn't recover from his injury this year. In the 4th round, we take a chance on Mark Mlazgar, a C who is 6'3 297 and who has elite blocking skills. I think he could move to LG and start for us. If I had noticed him before, I would have taken him in the 3rd round, but am glad he fell to the 4th round. With our 5th round pick, we take George Vogt, a RB from Navy. He is 5'10 206 and he runs a 4.50. He only has 17 in sole and 9 in strength, but he has a 10' 2" broad jump. More importantly, our scouts think he has high hole recognition and elusiveness. He had a 7.21 in the agility drill. He also has high 3rd down running which is a weakness of Alan's. With our final pick, we take Winston Deaton, an undersized safety who lacks great run stopping, but has very good zone coverage abilities. |

Wow. Arizona released Superstar RB Quinn Walker in his 5th year despite him putting up over 1500 yards last year. They look like they are in cap hell right now.
Sheesh. I can't afford him. He wants 100 million over 6 years. If he lowers his requests, I'll make an offer. In the meantime, I offer Daniel Williams, a 4th year CB who defended 20 passes last year a 6 year deal worth 30 million. In the 3rd week of Post Draft FA, I re-work a few contracts and offer Quinn Walker 6 years and 80 million. I think he can be my Terrell Davis for McNabb. A week later, Quinn Walker signs our deal. Daniel Williams prefers GB and spurns us, which is fine since that wasn't a big need and he wasn't a huge upgrade. Sean Considine is holding out because we franchised him again and couldn't sign him to a long term deal. We sold out all of our season tickets. With the acquisition of Quinn, I'm planning on attempting to run an offense like New Orleans. I'll use Alan in the slot some and as a change of pace back. He has all of the right talents to be a good slot receiver. |

Changes of Note:
Chapman has gained a point of potential. He'll start the pre-season and get plenty of PT. McNabb is starting significant decline. Quinn Walker gained 2 points since joining us. Brandon Hancock is in early decline. Baskett is in significant decline in his 8th year. Aaron Sweeney has lost quite a bit of potential from his injury, but still looks like he could be a good starting C if we are going to pass a lot. If we want to run, he'll probably be our backup. Rookie Bryan Grier, 3rd round pick, looks like a better pass blocker and run blocker at least potentially. As of right now, Mark Mlazgar hasn't lost any potential, and looks like he could be an elite LG. He'll start throughout the pre-season and hopefully improve enough to start for us this year. David Baas took a terrible dive in ability after we signed him and would be a bad run blocker. All of our DE's, most notably Trent Cole, are in significant decline. Casey Richmond lost a point or two of potential, but looks like he could be an All-Star in 2 to 3 years. He'll start from day one. Kim Houston lost 2 points of potential, but is maxed out at 79/79 and looks great in every position I value at SLB. Colby and Matt are in decline but will probably share the duties at WLB. Devin Hester has started to decline and lost 4 points. Greg VV continues to improve and his potential has gone up a bit. All of our Safeties are declining as age catches up with them. Sean Considine is still holding out, but I have plenty of insurance policies. |

He also had a hurry. 7th round pick S Winston Dean had 5 tackles and 2 assists. Rookie G Mark Mlazgar was 4 of 8 on KRB's. C Bryan Grier who beat out Sweeney for the starting role had 2 of 4 KRB's. Calvin Johnson had 5 catches for 96 yards including 2 over 20 yards. Trent Cole suffered a severe hamstring pull that will cause him to miss the 1st half of the regular season. In our 2nd game, we beat Cleveland 36-7. Alan Douglas had 26 carries for 139 yards and a TD. Quinn Walker had 9 carries for 37 yards and a TD. Billy Joe Chapman was 9 of 16 for 195 yards and a TD. McNabb was 7 of 10 for 73 yards. Ginn had 4 catches for 174 yards including a 90 yard play! Rookie Winston Deaton had a pick. Rookie Casey Richmond led the team with 5 tackles and an assist. C Bryan Grier was 5 of 7 for KRB's. LG Mark Mlazgar was 3 of 6 for KRB's. Winston Justice was hurt in the game and will miss the rest of the pre-season and possibly the 1st regular season game. In our 3rd game, we lost to Houston 10-7. Quinn Walker had 7 carries for 118 yards including a 62 yard TD run. Billy Joe was 10 of 31 for 97 yards with a pick. Douglas had 2 catches for 52 of those yards. Bryan Grier was 3 of 4 on KRB's at LG. MLB Casey Richmond sufered a strained triceps muscle that will sideline him in the final pre-season game. In our final preseason game, we lost to Cincinnati 33-22. Rookie George Vogt ran it 18 times for 79 yards and 2 TD's. Quinn Walker had 7 carries for 22 yards. McNabb was 13 of 17 for 158 yards and a TD. Chapman was 12 of 16 for 143 yards with a pick. Calvin Johnson had 7 catches for 106 yards. Douglas had 6 catches for 72 yards. Kim Houston led the team with 9 tackles. 2nd year DE Warren Garrison had 3 hurries. G Bryan Grier was only 2 of 5 on KRB's this game. Mark Mlazgar was 2 of 4 on KRB's but also allowed his 1st sack. In the pre-season, Calvin already has 5 receptions of greater than 20 yards. Our first regular season game is against the Giants. Bryan Grier and Mark have won the starting jobs at C and LG respectively. The Giants still have a very dangerous WR in Sinorice Moss and a great QB in Eli Manning. They also have a very good defense. |

I received an A- by most draft experts for this past draft. Yet, Casey isn't on the green page.
Casey is now 100% from his preseason injury. Tom Brady was the offensive player of the week with 28 of 33 passing for 304 yards and 2 TD's. Matt doesn't have Quinn anymore, but now he got to air it out more. Leinart was 19 of 33 for 350 yards and 4 TD's. Dave Mahoney, Atlanta, had 36 carries for 203 yards and 3 TD's. Larry Fitzgerald, Ari, had 9 catches for 162 yards and 2 TD's. OLB Manny Lawson, SF, was the defensive player of the week with 11 tackles, 3 sacks, and 1 interception. Next up, we host Denver. Jay Cutler has become one of the best QB's in the league. Devin Cain is a very good RB. Bryce Pritchett and Travis Wilson are servicable WR's. The offensive line is solid with LG Neil Shannon being the standout. Defensively, they don't have any weaknesses with players rated about 50 at every position. They just signed Super Star CB George Wickliff to a FA contract for 4 years and 60 million this year. He is rated 88/88. I passed on him because he is HIGHLY injury prone and had a serious back injury last year, but he is very talented. We'll stick with last week's gameplan of running to set up the long pass. |

After pounding it over and over, Cutler connects on a 15 yard TD pass. 17-10, Denver. We start on our 38. Walker gets stuffed on 2nd and 3 and we fail to convert 3rd and 3 as Wickliff defends the pass. Mark Mlazgar gives up a sack that ends our next drive. Winston Justice is now 100% as is Greg VV.
Tom Brady was the offensive player of the week as he completed 24 of 29 passes for 346 yards and 3 TD's. Devin Cain's 32 carries for 115 yards and a TD led all backs. Timothy Franz, Buffalo, had 7 catches for 159 yards. Julius Peppers, Carolina, had 4 tackles and 3 sacks to win defensive player of the week. Our next game is at Seattle. Hasselbeck is questionable and this will be a very different game if he is unable to play. Rusty Royer is a good receiver who benefits greatly from Hasselbeck's accuracy. The offensive line is good on the left side, below average on the right. Defensively, their are weaknesses at LDE and WLB with Trevor Horner being one of the worst stating WLB's in the league. The secondary is solid but Boulware may be unable to play today which would help. |

Hasselbeck is playing, unfortunately.
Omar Gaither forces a fumble on their 2nd play, but Josh Parry (who fumbled it) recovers it. 32 yard pass to Royer gets them to our 20. We stop them the next 3 plays. FG makes it 3-0. A fumble is recovered by Seattle and advanced to our 9. The defense holds firm and we make them settle for a FG. 6-0. Walker with a few nice runs and McNabb with a few great passes including a 29 yard TD pass to Clark Harris! 7-6, we lead. 3 and out for Seattle. End of 1: Up 7-6. We are on their 16. McNabb is 6 of 6 so far. 5 yard TD pass to Baskett to end a perfect drive. 14-6. 41 yard pass to Royer has them on our 7. 2 plays later, Gerald Dillon with a 5 yard TD run. 14-13. Our FB is making some nice holes for Walker, which is a nice change from past FB's. After pounding it a few times, McNabb airs it out to Ginn for a 44 yard TD!!!! 21-13. Greg VV with 2 key pass defenses to force a quick punt. 2:36 left, we are on our 4. Walker with a 14 yard run to get us some brathing room. 12 yard pass to Ginn. 15 yard pass to Calvin. 12 yard pass to Clark Harris. On their 40: 40 seconds left. Walker runs for 1. They defend the pass. Walker with a 24 yard run! Ricker kicks a 32 yard FG just before the half expires. Halftime: 24-13 lead. McNabb is 12 of 14 for 175 yards. Walker has 13 carries for 84 yards. Walker with a 17 yard run to start the half. 45 yard pass to Ginn! Douglas runs for 2. 11 yard TD pass to Ginn!!!! 31-13. Defenses win the battle the rest of the 3rd. End of 3: 31-13, we lead. Walker is just demolishing their run defense in the 4th, but we aren't scoring. Part of that is because Walker fumbled on their 5 on one of our drives, but he is approaching 200 yards rushing today and is eating up 4th quarter clock. Game over. 31-13 win for us. No significant injuries except for Cole's.
Matt Leinart completed 23 of 34 passes for 314 yards and 5 TD's to win offensive player of the week. Eli hasn't played since we injured him in week 1 and will probably miss another week or two with a back injury. Walker's 36 carries for 212 yards for us led all backs. Larry Fitzgerald had 7 catches for 153 yards and 2 TD's. ILB Levon Rodgers, Cin, had 7 tackles, 2 assists, 1 sack, 2 interceptions, and a pass defensed to win player of the week. We are 1 game behind 3-0 Dallas. Next up, we host Minnesota. They have been hurt by an injury to Kyle Wright. This could be the game he returns though. Defensively, they are good at every position except for Defensive End where age has hit both of their starters hard. |

Lance Dunn is still starting for Minnesota!
They are primarily running the ball and we stop them short of midfield. 17 yard pass to Calvin to start us off. MCNabb's first 5 passes were completions. They stop us at the 25. Ricker makes the 42 yard FG. 3-0. End of 1: Up 3-0, we are at midfield. Mason catches a short pass and gets 17 YAC to convert a 3rd and 16 for us. Walker with a 3 yard TD run to end the drive. 10-0. 23 yard TD pass to Travis Bronson with 4 minutes left in the half makes it 10-7. McNabb with a 22 yard pass to Calvin on 3rd and 2 after a few runs by Quinn. 26 yard pass to Calvin on the next play! 11 yard pass to Ginn. On their 10: Douglas with a 10 yard TD run! 17-7. 1:14 left in the half. Halftime: 17-7 lead. McNabb is 15 of 20 for 180 yards. Walker has 9 carries for 35 yards. 22 yard pass to Calvin to start the half! They stop us on the 21 after we moved it well most of the way. Ricker makes the FG. 20-7. Meanwhile, Dallas is losing to Detroit 10-7. We force a quick punt. End of 3: We are up 20-7 and we have it on our 6. They are stopping Walker so far and Dunn isn't playing bad for them at QB, but our defense is holding when it has to. Walker fumbles inside their redzone and Minnesota recovers. 5 minutes left. We are still up 20-7. Dunn with a 43 yard pass to Shannon Bridges. However, we sack Dunn the next 2 plays and then force an incompletion on 3rd down. On 4th and 19, Dunn converts with a 20 yard pass. We eventually stop them on 4th and 10. 1:26 left. Game over. 20-7 win. In the last minute of the Detroit-Dallas game, Detroit kicks a FG to win it 19-10. Shawn Andrews, Mason, and Buckner are all now 100%.
A couple of my guys with minor injuries, but everyone can play except for Cole who looks like he will miss 4-5 weeks more. Matt Schaub, starting for an injured Peyton in Indy, was the offensive player of the week with 23 of 30 passing for 329 yards and 3 TD's. Perry Fitzgerald, GB, had 14 carries for 123 yards and a TD. Matt Jones, Jax, had 5 catches for 145 yards and a TD. Kamerion Wimbley, DE Cleveland, had 5 tackles and 4.5 sacks to win defensive player of the week. Our next game is hosting the 3-1 Detroit Lions that just beat Dallas. Detroit's offense has been poor at best with Brady Quinn throwing 1 TD vs 6 INT's. However, their running game is solid and the defense and special teams are making plays. LCB Rob Snyder is an outstanding corner who has made multiple huge plays for the team this year. DT Shaun Cody remains a disruptive force along the line. Ernie Sims leads a very solid LB corp. |

We stuff the run the first two plays, but Quinn connects with Kevin Fletcher for a 21 yard gain on 3rd and 10.
Quinn to Roy Williams for 34 yards the next play. That gets them to our 13. A few plays later Brian Calhoun with a 5 yard TD run. 7-0. Walker with a 14 yard run on his first play. McNabb throws a pick to Gene Hall on their 25. On our next drive, McNabb hits Calvin in stride for a 41 yard gain! The drive ends with a 5 yard TD pass to Alan Douglas. 7-7. End of 1: 7-7 tie. Quinn to Roy Williams for a TD after a long drive to make it 14-7. Calvin drops a deep pass on our first play. Next play, he catches a 19 yard pass. McNabb to Clark Harris for 17. Penalties kill this drive and a bad punt goes into the endzone. Our next drive, Walker with a 14 yard and then a 20 yard run. The drive ends with a 8 TD pass to Baskett!!! 14-14. 1 minute left in the half. Devin Hester drops with an injury. Least, he stayed healthy for a few games. We still force a 3 and out. Only 27 seconds left though. Halftime: 14-14. McNabb is 15 of 21 for 189 yards. Walker has 10 carries for 78 yards. Walker with a 11 yard run to start the half. We get stopped at their 30, but Ricker makes the 47 yard FG. 17-14. Considine with a pass defense to stop them at their 40. The punt starts us at our 4. Douglas with a 22 yard run to get to their 35. Ricker makes a 35 yard FG. 20-14. End of 3: We are up 20-14. They are on their 16. Kornegay, their 1st round pick/RB from a few years ago catches a flare pass and takes it 84 yards for a TD! 21-20. Ginn is still getting double coverage, but Calvin is thriving as a result. However, they stop us at midfield. We punt and they start at their 14. 12 minutes left. We force a quick punt and a good punt return by Buckner starts us at their 48. Walker with a few good runs for a first and then another. Winston Justice goes down with an injury After pounding it several times, 20 yard TD pass to Ginn!!!! 26-21. We force a quick punt. Casey with a few good tackles on that series. On our 37 with 5 minutes left. Walker with 2 runs gets a 1st. On 3rd and 5, we are stopped with 2:22 left. A great punt pins them on their 2. We stop them on 4 consecutive plays and force a turnover on downs. They stuff Walker 3 times in a row. Ricker makes the short FG to make it 29-21. 1 minute left. Houston stops their receiver short on 4th and 1 with a great tackle. Turnover on downs. 29-21 win for us. Meanwhile, the Giants beat the Cowboys 41-14. Quinn is another QB we've knocked out and another one who will miss at least 2 or 3 weeks.
Justice has a broken jaw and will miss a few weeks. Hester has a sprained knee that I won't risk. He'll rest too. In his first game back, Eli Manning was the offensive player of the week. He completed 23 of 32 passes for 303 yards with 4 TD's and 1 INT. Walker's 26 carries for 134 yards led all backs. Sinorice Moss had 8 catches for 122 yards and 3 TD's to lead all receivers. CB Gene Wulfeck, NE, had 7 tackles, 1 sack, 2 interceptions, 2 passes defensed to win defensive player of the week. Our 4-1 record leads the NFC at this point along with 4-1 GB. Our next game is at GB. They have great balance with Aaron Rodgers being a very solid QB (rated 68) and Adrian Peterson being a solid running back (rated 62.) Greg Jennings remains a good receiver (rated 61 now.) The offensive line has a weakness at both tackles as their top T's are out injured. Defensively, they have no weaknesses with DE Tommy Kelly being a standout (rated 71) Daniel Williams is their starting CB (he would have been a nickel back for us probably if he hadn't chosen GB.) |

Peterson starts with a 10 yard run, but we stuff their FB on the next play and he fumbles. Bunkley recovers it! However, Bunkley is hurt on the play.
Nick Barnett intercepts a pass intended for Clark. Back to back sacks on Rodgers forces 3rd and 26. They only get 15 and punt. Buckner returns the punt 41 yards to their 29! Calvin Johnson catches a short pass, shrugs off a defender, and takes it 22 yards for a TD!!!! 7-0. We hold them to a FG from inside our 20 on their next drive. 7-3. McNabb is 1 of 6 so far as their defense is playing well. End of 1: Up 7-3, but they are driving. Mike Spriggs catches an intermediate pass and turns it into a 42 yard gain for GB. 26 yard TD pass to Michael Jenkins. 10-7. 12 minutes left in the half. Defenses dominate for the next few minutes, but GB puts together a balanced time eating drive that ends in a 2 yard TD pass. 17-7. 2 minutes left. We end up punting with 45 seconds left. Halftime: 17-7, we are down. McNabb is 3 of 12 so far. We start on our 20. Nick Barnett goes down on the first play, a 5 yard run by Douglas. McNabb completes 2 short passes for a 1st. 27 yard pass to Calvin! McNabb's next throw is towards Calvin in the endzone, but it is picked off. We force a 3 and out. Ginn with single coverage and McNabb hits him for 14 on 3rd and 10. A penalty pushes us into 3rd and 20. We fail to complete as Daniel Williams defends the pass. We punt with 5 minutes left in the 3rd. End of 3: We are down 17-7. GB has it on our 27. We force the FG. 20-7. 12:38 left. 3 and out for us as McNabb can't connect on 3rd and 4. We force a 3 and out. 9:23 left. McNabb throws a deep pass that is picked off. We force a quick punt, but only 6 minutes left. Ginn only gets 9 yards on 4th and 10 and we turn it over on downs. FG makes it 23-7 with under 3 minutes left. Game over. 23-7 loss Week 6, 2013 played in Green Bay, WI 54 degrees, fair, 7 mph wind

Getting in a bit of PT before dinner:
Colby Bockwoldt is suffering from premature arthritis and is doubtful right now and will be backup as a result for an undetermined amount of time. Cole, Justice, and Hester remain out. Aaron Rodgers, GB, was the offensive player of the week with 22 of 30 passing for 276 yards and 2 TD's. Dave Mahoney, Atlanta, had 38 carries for 178 yards and a TD. Braylon Edwards, Cle, had 9 catches for 193 yards and 2 TD's. DE Quentin Moses, Buf, had 9 tackles and 4 sacks to win defensive player of the week. Our next game is at Washington. We are 4-2 and they are 2-3. Pat Julmiste remains the QB even though he continues to make mistakes. Steve Breaton and Deion Branch are a good receiving duo. The offensive line is solid. Defensively, Van O'Bryan is an outstanding DE (rated 81.) There are no weaknesses at any other defensive position either. We'll stick with our gameplan and hope for a better game this week. |

After a defensive stop, we get it back but McNabb throws a pick to Carlos Roger on his 1st pass.
Next play is a 20 yard TD run. 7-0, Washington. We punt very quickly on our next drive. Washington is running it very well against our offense so far. However, our pass defense is playing very stout and forces a punt. End of 1: Both defenses are winning the battle. McNabb throws a pick to start the 2nd quarter. This one was a long pass that was picked off on their 4. Our next drive, McNabb hits Calvin Johnson in stride for a 57 yard TD!!! 7-7. A great kick return starts Washington on our 43. Julmiste with a few passes including a 6 yard TD pass to Brock Bonds. 14-7. Our next drive ends in a missed 44 yard FG. A long pass interference call quickly gets them to our 19. A sack stops them and we force the FG. 17-7. 2 minutes left. McNabb throws his 3rd pick of the day. Sheesh. We force a 3 and out. Only 40 seconds left. On our 13. Halftime; McNabb is 11 of 19 for 139 yards with 3 picks and 1 TD. We are down 17-7. Our running game has been stufffed all day. We go 3 and out. Washington puts together a lengthy drive that ends in a Julmiste TD. 24-7. They have over 100 yards rushing already. McNabb to Calvin for 21 yards. Ginn catches a short pass, is drilled, fumbles it, and they recover it and run 42 yards for a TD. 31-7. Our next drive, McNabb drives us down the field quickly. It ends with a 5 yard McNabb scramble for a TD. 31-13. End of 3: Down 31-13. FG by Washington to make it 34-13 with 9 minutes left. McNabb is sacked to force a quick 3rd and 12. The 3rd down pass is picked off. Wow. I need to run it even more. 40-13 loss. Week 7, 2013 played in Washington, DC 45 degrees, fair, calm

Marc Bulger was the offensive player of the week with 19 of 27 passing for 286 yards and 4 TD's.
Reggie Bush, NO, had 29 carries for 165 yards and a TD. Roy Williams, Detroit, had 6 catches for 166 yards and a TD. Orien Harris, DE Pit, had 5 tackles and 3 sacks to win defensive player of the week. We have our bye in week 8. During week 8, RG Shawn Andrews, CB Devin Hester, and RT Winston Justice all became fully healthy. In week 8, Bulger was again offensive player of the week with 23 of 30 passing for 330 yards and 4 TD's. Dave Mahoney, Atl, had 27 carries for 140 yards and a TD. R.J Daniels, NYJ, had 12 catches for 186 yards and 2 TD's. Gaines Adams, DE Chi, had 4 tackles and 2.5 sacks to win defensive player of the week. This week we play at Chicago who are 5-2. Chicago has a good offense led by Kyle Orton and RB Brant Eleazer. Bryan Rouen is an excellent WR and Fred Tolson is a good number 2 receiver. Their LT is out injured and they will start Dean walters, a barely acceptable backup. Defensively, Gaines Adams leads a very good defensive line. Hunter Hillenmeyer is the only LB of quality who isn't injured. The secondary is strong with Nathan Vasher and Charles Tillman being two excellent CB's. |

Chicago's first drive was very balanced and covered 85 yards over 7 minutes ending in a TD run. 7-0.
A penalty forces 3rd and 12 which we fail to convert. 3 and out. We force a quick punt and get it back on our 16. Walker with a 21 yard run to start the drive. End of 1: Down 7-0, we are on their 10. A long balanced drive ends when McNabb connects with Ginn for a 10 yard TD pass. 7-7. We force a punt from around midfield which pins us on our 1. First play is a 19 yard pass to Clark Harris. Winston Justice suffers a very serious knee injury . We go for it on 4th and 2 on their 36 and are stopped a yard short. Good defense forces a quick punt which is downed on our 5. Halftime: Tied 7-7. Walker already has 15 carries for 82 yards for us. McNabb is 8 of 12 for 77 yards. Clark Harris fumbles a pass on our 27 and Chicago recovers to start the 2nd half. We are aided by a penalty in holding them to a long FG. 10-7. Defenses dominate most of the 3rd. Late in the 3rd, McNabb throws a pick at the 50. End of 3: We are down 10-7. They are on our 20. Eleazer fumbles on 3rd and 4, but they recover and advance it to the 9 for a 1st. A few plays later Orten to Rouen for a 9 yard TD. 17-7. 12:39 left. A few 8-10 yard runs by Walker and a few passes by McNabb quickly gets us inside the 20. However, we are stopped on the 13. Ricker makes the 30 yard FG. 17-10. 9:27 left. Chicago surprises us by coming out passing and Orton is making plays. Around midfield, they start mixing in some runs. They are moving the ball well. A time consuming drive ends with a 2 yard TD run. 24-10. 2:25 left. Game over. 24-10 loss for us. Week 9, 2013 played in Chicago, IL 46 degrees, rain, 13 mph wind

Quinn Walker, Trent Cole, and Colby Bockwoldt are now all 100%.
Winston Justice has a torn calf muscle and will miss the rest of the regular season and part of the playoffs. David Carr, Baltimore, was offensive player of the week with 25 of 37 passing for 404 yards and 3 TD's. Reggie Bush, NO, had 31 carries for 153 yards and 2 TD's. Braylon Edwards, Cle, had 11 catches for 196 yards and a TD. DE Mark Anderson, Atl, had 5 tackles and 3 sacks to win defensive player of the week. Next up we host the Giants. They are 5-3 and a game above us in the NFC East. Manning is thriving this year and he is helping open things up for the running game and Carlos Meyer is having a great year as a result. Sinorice Moss remains the top WR. LG Josh Beekham is the only standout on an otherwise average OL. Defensively, Osi Umenyiora leads a very good defensive line. The linebacking crop has a very good MLB in D'Qwell Jackson. The secondary is solid but their top S's are questionable. |

We start off on our 25. Walker with a 5 yard run to start the game.
S Jerome Carter goes out on the second play of the game after Douglas runs him over. However, a penalty forces a quick punt. Manning is perfect on his first short drive which ends in a TD run by Meyer. 7-0. A kick return for a TD!!! 7-7. Cole with a few hurries to help stop them around the 25. FG makes it 10-7, NY. McNabb with some solid throws to move us down the field, but we are stopped on the 15. End of 1: FG makes it 10-10. We force a quick punt, but have to punt it right back. Excellent defense throughout the 2nd quarter. McNabb ends a promising drive with a pick at their 23. 1:30 left. Halftime: 10-10. McNabb is 7 of 10 for 38 yards. Walker has 9 runs for 34 yards. We force a 3 and out to start the half. Both defenses start the half like they ended it with strong stands. However, their next drive, Manning beats the pressure, moves them down the field and ends with a 3 yard TD pass to Moss. 17-10. 9 minutes left. Cole with his first sack midway through the 3rd. He has been getting good pressure all day. 29 yard pass to Calvin to start our drive! End of 3: Down 17-10. We are on their 20. 2nd and 4: Walker with a 2 yard run. 6 yard pass to Baskett. 12 yard TD pass to LJ Smith!!! 17-17. 13:27 left. Manning with a 34 yard pass to TE Jeff Dugan. Illegal use of the hands converts a 3rd and 14 for them. A few plays later, Carlos with another TD. 24-17. 8:42 left. McNabb methodically drives us down the field. 1st and goal on the 7: McNabb is sacked by Osi. Osi with a hurry on 2nd down. 3rd and goal on the 13: McNabb to Calvin right over the middle of the field for a 13 yard TD!!! 24-24. 2:53 left. Manning quickly gets them to midfield. 2 minute warning. 12 yard pass to Moss to get to our 34. 4 yard pass to Carlos. 24 yard pass to Moss who seems to virtually unstoppable against us. 2nd and goal on the 5 (43 seconds left): Carlos with a 5 yard TD run. 31-24. Osi with a hurry on 1st and 10. Incomplete on 2nd down. Incomplete on 3rd down. 31-24 loss. Rough season for us and the only thing that I can think we need to improve is to get an elite T, DT, and/or CB. Week 10, 2013 played in Philadelphia, PA 35 degrees, fair, 2 mph wind

Everyone is 100% healthy except for Justice.
Bulger wins Player of the Week yet again with 21 of 24 passing for 289 yards with 3 TD's. Dave Mahoney, Atl, had 47 carries for 218 yards and 2 TD's. Larry Fitzgerald, Ari, had 11 catches for 151 yards and 2 TD's. Doug Gelenaw, S Ari, won defensive player of the week with 4 tackles, 1 sack, 1 interception, and 2 passes defensed. Our next game is a near must win at Dallas. Dallas is also 4-5 as they have struggled with injuries and age. Vick is out for the year with a knee injury. Instead, they are using rookie Dusty Padavona at QB and he is taking his lumps. However, he could be a good QB one day. They are also missing their top WR due to injury. Also, DE Marcus Spears is done for the year and they are starting a very young, very poorly rated Andrew Heath at DE. Also, an injury at S has them starting Ted Bidwell a poor S. otherwise, their defense is very good. |

We force a quick punt.
1st play is a 16 yard run by our fullback, Tommy Albertson! McNabb gets Ginn with single coverage and connects on a 31 yard TD!!! 7-0. Their next punt starts us on our 1. Douglas with a 4 yard run. 11 yard pass to Calvin. They force a punt from the 28. End of 1: Up 7-0. We stuff them on 3rd and 2 on their 28. Antonio Gardner hits a 46 yard FG. 7-3. On 3rd and 12, McNabb hits Calvin for 31 yards. However, they force a punt a few plays later. Casey Richmond picks off a pass intended for the TE!! Walker with a 14 yard run to get to their 19. Walker with a 19 yard TD run!! No, it is called back for holding. Instead, we end up attempting a FG a few plays later, but Ricker misses the 37 yard attempt wide right. Michael Haynes goes down on the 1st play of this drive. Padavona with a 30 yard TD pass to Jamal Marsh. 10-7. 2:27 left. McNabb's passes are really sailing on him. However, he connects with Dave Thomas on 3rd and 15 for 17 yards. Chris Canty with a sack to force a 3rd and 18. McNabb hits Mason in stride, but he drops it. WE punt. 32 seconds left. Halftime: Down 10-7, we get the ball to start the half. Ginn drops a bomb the first play. 3 and out as McNabb's passes are becoming more erratic. It really is time to replace him after this year, I think. Either that or rebuild our offensive line to support the running game more. We get it back after a quick punt.. McNabb to Baskett for 25 yards! Walker with a few runs for a 1st down and another. McNabb with a pass to Baskett for 9 yards to get us a 1st inside the 11. 3rd and 1 on the 2: Walker with a 2 yard TD run... No, holding pulls it back. Ricker makes the 23 yard FG. 10-10. We force a 3 and out. McNabb to Calvin for 42 yards on 3rd and 12! Offensive Holding calls back another TD to Calvin. Instead, Ricker makes a 30 yard FG. 13-10. End of 3: Up 13-10, but they are moving it a bit. They are on their 40. We stop them at our 42 and force a punt which goes into the endzone. 13 minutes left. Walker is making some good runs happen this drive, but a sack of McNabb forces 3rd and 14 on their 30. Ricker misses the 47 yard FG. 8 minutes left. Our defense stops them at midfield. A quick punt gives them the ball back with about 4 minutes left. Kim Houston with some good pass defense. Next play, Leon Hall picks it off and returns it to their 33. A few plays later, 18 yard TD pass to Ginn. 20-10. Just under 2 minutes left. Game over. 20-10 win for us. Week 11, 2013 played in Dallas, TX 79 degrees, fair, calm

Brandon Fields, my punter, had to have an emergency appendectomy. He is out for about 5 weeks. A tough decision here, but I don't want to release anyone so I'm going to give Ricker a chance to do some punting. Actually, that is not a choice apparently, so I'll sign a very good punter. We sign Brian Moorman, a 13 year vet to a 1 year deal.
Michael Haynes has a calf strain and will miss 2-3 weeks. Kevin Kolb, Chicago's new QB, was the offensive player of the week. He completed 34 of 44 passes for 431 yards with 3 TD's. Dave Mahoney, Atl, had 35 carries for 163 yards and 2 TD's. Braylon Edwards had 13 catches for 293 yards and 3 TD's for Cleveland! Julius Peppers had 4 sacks to win defensive player of the week for Carolina. Peyton Manning is out for the remainder of the year with a leg injury. He's missed most of this year with a variety of injuries. Yet, the Colts are 9-1 with Matt Schaub at QB. Our next game is hosting the Chiefs. They are 4-6 as they are struggling with rokie QB (2nd overall pick) Randal Prescott. Randal is a 29/63 guy according to my scouts now. So, far in his rookie year he has completed 56% of his passes for 2083 yards with 11 TD's and 9 INT's. There are no weaknesses at any other offensive position and TE Fernando Leftwich is a standout. Defensively, they are very good with a linebacking corp that is good as any team in the league. Rocky McInstosh, Bruce Tyler, and Derrick Johnson are all rated in the high 60's. Gino Siegel is a very good defensive tackle. The secondary has all above average players as well.

Our 1st play is a 18 yard pass to Calvin Johnson. 2 plays later, McNabb connects with Calvin for 22 yards. Ricker makes a 25 yard FG. 3-0.
Prescott completes his first 3 passes and gets them inside the 20. Reel with a few nice runs as well. Prescott ends the drive with a 3 yard TD pass. 7-3. McNabb hits Ginn with a short pass that he turns into a 29 yard gain. A few plays later, 22 yard pass to Calvin gets us inside the 5. Walker ends the drive with a TD run! 10-7. End of 1: Up 10-7. They are on their 28. We force a quick punt and get it at our 45. McNabb with a 24 yard pass to Ginn for a TD to end a drive in which we mostly ran it. 17-7. Prescott with a nice drive, but Casey Richmond ends it with a pick on our 13 that he returns to our 34. 1:40 left. Halftime: 17-7 win for us. McNabb is 10 of 16 for 157 yards at the half. Timothy Hutchins nails a 52 yard FG to make it 17-10. McNabb to Calvin Johnson for a short TD after McNabb engineers a great drive. 24-10. Hutchins with a 46 yard FG to make it 24-13. 3 minutes left in the 3rd. A kickoff return for a TD by Mason to make it 31-13! End of 3: 31-13 lead. They are on our 40. Ginn catches a short pass to start the 4th and turns it into a 34 yard gain. Ricker with a 43 yard FG to make it 34-13. 10 minutes left. Trent Cole with a sack on 3rd down. He has been getting great pressure all day. Ricker misses a 40 yard FG. Our scouts are thinking that he is a disappointment now, and I agree. If there is a can't miss kicker in this upcoming draft, I might take them in the 2nd round. Walker is controlling the clock and moving the chains on our next drive. Ricker makes a 34 yard FG after we ran the clock down to 2 minutes. 37-13. 37-13 win for us. Week 12, 2013 played in Philadelphia, PA 39 degrees, fair, 10 mph wind

No change in injury status.
Carson Palmer, Cin, was the offensive player of the week with 34 of 45 passing for 402 yards and 2 TD's. Quinn Walker led all backs with his 25 carries for 125 yards and a TD. Demetrius Willimas, Bal, had 11 catches for 152 yards and a TD. DE Luis Castillo, SD, had 5 tackles and 2.5 sacks to win defensive player of the week. Next up, we host the Panthers. They are 4-7 this year and we are 6-5 (just a game behind the 7-4 Giants.) Part of the reason that the Panthers are 4-7 is that Jake Delhomme has been injured at times this year, but he is healthy for this game and is still a very good QB. Darrin Burke is a good running back who has great breakaway speed. Max Farmer and Nolan Ferreira are both above average WR's. The offensive line is great with C Walter Anderson being a true standout (Rated 86.) Defensively, Their are no weaknesses on the team. S Jim Hildebrand is the only true standout. Thomas Davis is a good SLB as well. |

Walker is stuffed on 3rd and 1 (poor run blocking) and we end up punting after 3 plays.
Their offensive line is dominating us early and they are running it with ease. The drive ends with a 9 yard TD pass to Jeremey Shockey. Over 50 yards rushing on that drive. 7-0. The offensive line and Darrin Burke are just shredding our defense. Their next drive we finally start stopping the run but only once they are inside our 40. Still, we force a short punt. End of 1: Down 7-0. McNabb with a 40 yard pass to LJ Smith to get us inside their 30. Walker and Douglas get stuffed on 2nd and 1 and 3rd and 1. Ricker makes the FG. 7-3. Delhomme with a 32 yard pass to Ferreira to start their drive. A penalty and Trent Cole pressure help us stop them at our 33 and they miss the FG. After a few runs, McNabb hits Baskett in stride for a 49 yard TD!!! 10-7. Our defense is settling down and our Linebackers are making plays to stop their run now. Halftime: Up 10-7. McNabb is 10 of 17 for 172 yards at the half. Walker has 12 carries for 16 yards. Roger Reeves ties it up at 10-10 with a 24 yard FG. 8 minutes left in the 3rd. Nice 7 minute drive for Carolina. Our first play is Walker's first 10 plus yard run of the day. A great drive ends with a McNabb pick on their 27. We force a 3 and out. End of 3; Tied 10-10. We have it on our 47. Douglas with a few nice runs so far this quarter. McNabb using our FB Albertson as a receiver quite a bit this drive. 15 yard pass to Calvin to get to their 4. Walker with a 4 yard TD run!!! 17-10. 12 minutes left. Mathias with a sack for our team to push them into 3rd and 17. Jake can't complete his pass as Kim Houston defends it. 9 minutes left as we get the ball back. Walker moves the chains with several solid runs to get us 3 first downs as he is running it play after play. They stuff us finally on 3rd and 1 and we punt with 2 minutes left. Kim Houston intercepts the first pass on their 40! 2 minutes left. Walker gets us the 1st that should allow us to eat up most of the clock. Walker breaks off a 19 yard run. 17-10 win as we run out the clock. Week 13, 2013 played in Philadelphia, PA 43 degrees, fair, 6 mph wind

Travis Bronson, Minn, had 9 catches for 159 yards and a TD. Mario Williams, Hou, had 3 tackles and 3 sacks to win defensive player of the week. Here is a look at the standings now: Code:

Our next game is at Oakland. They have Troy Smith as their starting QB for the last 3 years and he is doing very well this year as he is having his best year in most key stats. In 11 starts, he is 186 of 319 (58%) for 2083 yards with 18 TD's and only 4 INT's. His QB rating is 91.4.
His ball control is a big reason for Oakland's success, but they also have an excellent WR in Erik McPhee who almost never drops it and is amazing at adjusting to passes. Eric Parker is an ok #2 WR. The offensive line is slightly below average but Smith's mobility and sense rush is good. Defensively, DT Dennis Farr is a standout. The linebacking corp is solid. The secondary is slightly above average led by S Michael Huff. |

A fumble on the kickoff is recovered by Oakland.
Troy Smith with a 7 yard TD pass to make it 7-0. A perfect 10 play drive ends with a 3 yard TD run by Walker. 7-7. Smith with a 27 yard TD to McPhee to make it 14-7. McNabb with a 28 yard pass to Mason on our next drive. Looks like this will be a game of high offense. End of 1: Down 14-7. We are about to punt due to a sack on 3rd and 4. McPhee is burning Hester early. McPhee with another 24 yard catch. He already is approaching 100 yards. Smith to Stephens for a TD. 21-7. McPhee just went over 100 yards with 2 minutes to go in the half. 1 yard TD run by Oakland. 28-7. 2 minutes left in the half. McNabb throws a pick on our 32. This is getting so bad, I can't even bare to watch. Halftime: 31-7. Troy Smith is 14 of 17 for 211 yards at the half. 41-21 loss to Oakland. Week 14, 2013 played in Oakland, CA 61 degrees, fair, 2 mph wind

Quote:
His first 3 years were very rocky. 4th year he had 21 TD's vs 20 INT's, but last two years he has been a top 10 QB. |

Michael Lewis broke his wrist and will miss the rest of the regular season which will hurt our pass defense quite a bit.
Vince Young, Ten, was the offensive player of the week with 28 of 39 passing for 289 yards with 3 TD's. Devin Cain, Denver, had 25 carries for 166 yards and 4 TD's. Sinorice Moss, NYG, had 8 catches for 167 yards and 3 TD's. DE Tommy Kelly, GB, had 5 tackles and 3.5 sacks to win defensive player of the week. At 7-6, we are in the last wild card slot if the season ended today. Our next game is hosting 4-9 Dallas. They have 5 key players out with injury and will have a tough time winning with Dusty at QB, Scott Sherwood at DE and Ted Bidwell at FS. |

Perfect 1st drive ending in a 12 yard TD pass to Calvin.
McNabb scrambles for 9 on 3rd and 8 on our next drive. A mostly running drive ends with a 4 yard TD pass to Ginn. 14-0. Kim Houston picks it off on our 39 on their next drive. Houston really developing. 38 yard pass to Baskett on the first play. End of 1: Up 14-0. 16 yard TD pass to Ginn makes it 21-0. Albert Harris (playing in place of Michael Lewis) recovers a fumble on their 38 and takes it in for a TD!! 28-0. Halftime: 28-3, we lead. McNabb is 19 of 28 for 212 yards at the half. Sione Pouha with a 13 yard TD fumble return!! 35-3. Late in the 3rd, Dallas with a 9 yard TD pass to make it 35-13. End of 3: 35-13. First play of our drive, McNabb to Ginn for 46 yards. A few plays later he throws it to Walker for a 8 yard TD. 42-13. Devin Hester goes down with an injury midway through the 4th. Short FG to make it 42-16 with 4 minutes left. Game over. 42-16 win for us. Week 15, 2013 played in Philadelphia, PA 22 degrees, fair, 8 mph wind

Devin Hester has a strained triceps with a low chance for reinjury, so he will continue to play.
Michael Haynes is recovered from his injury. Austin Duncan just edges out McNabb for player of the week. Duncan had 23 of 25 passes for 335 yards and 4 TD's. Matthew Kirk, SD's 1st round pick (13th overall) from last year, had 29 carries for 149 yards and a TD this week. Matt Jones, Jax, had 7 catches for 198 yards and 2 TD's. DT John Henderson, Jax, was the defensive player of the week with 6 tackles and 3 sacks. I miscalculated before: At 8-6, we are one game out of the last wildcard slot. We are one game behind the Giants for the Division lead. Sincer, we split the series with them and they are tied with us for conference and division record we need some help. GB, Atlanta, and St. Louis are all 10-4 and fighting for the byes. Minnesota and Chicago are both 9-5 and in the top two WC spots right now. SF is the other 8-6 team that is still alive for a playoff spot. In the AFC, Cincinatti and Tennessee are in the driver seat with 11-3 records. The Colts are one game behind at 10-4. Miami is leading the East with a 8-6 record. Oakland and Denver are battling it out in the west with 9-5 records. Pittsburgh is also fighting for a WC with a 9-5 record. Our next game is at 6-8 SD. Meanwhile the Giants are playing Oakland who I'm hoping can beat them like they beat me. SD has decided to bench Phillip Rivers in place of Brian Griese who was released by Miami and picked up by SD a week later. In 10 starts overall, Griese is completing 63% of his 264 passes for 1890 yards with 9 TD's and 11 INT's. In 12 starts Rivers had only completed 55% of his passes with 11 TD's and 15 INT's. SD does have Matthew Kirk going for them. He is becoming an elite running back. He already has over 1100 yards this year and 6 TD's. Last year he finished with 1400 yards and 14 TD's. SD's QB's aren't being helped by a very poor WR group. Vincent Jackson, their best receiver is out for the year and that leave D.J. Hackett as their top starting WR. He is rated 35 and the rest of the group is even worse. The offensive line is average. The defensive line is very good with my former player Tommy Kelly being an anchor at DT and Luis Castillo is a good DE. SS Laron Landry and LCB Antonio Cromartie are two very good players, but the rest of the defense is just average. |

Hmmm. They've gone back to Rivers this game! Maybe he was hurt before and I missed it.
Rivers was 6 of 6 on the first drive. Kirk finished it with a TD run. 7-0. Ginn with a 26 yard reception to get us to the 2 and Walker finishes it off with a TD run. 7-7. 2 minutes left in the 1st. End of 1: 7-7. They are on our 32. Rivers is a perfect 11 of 11 so far. He finished the drive with a 7 yard TD pass. 14-7. McNabb with a pick at their 23 which they return to the 34. Rivers and Kirk moving it down the field with ease. A few sacks finally end the drive at our 19. Short FG to make it 17-7. Halftime: Down 17-7. Rivers is 16 of 17 for 130 yards at the half. Great drive to open the half. 5 runs followed by a 17 yard pass to Ginn and a 15 yard pass to Calvin. Finally, a TD pass to Dave Thomas. 17-14. Late in the 3rd, Bunkley has to leave the game. We stop them on our 6. 23 yard FG to make it 20-14. End of 3: Down 20-14. We have it on our 36. On 3rd and 8, McNabb hits Calvin for 16. Our next play, Quinn Walker suffers a "serious shoulder injury" Suddenly, his contract doesn't look like a great investment.. 3 plays later, McNabb to Ginn for a 16 yard TD!!! 21-20. 11 minutes left. Young Warren Garrison with a sack to start their drive! Another sack on 3rd down forces a 3 and out! We punt back to them with 7 minutes left. Kirk with a 11 yard run on 3rd and 9. We stop them at midfield and they decide to punt with 3:33 left. Douglas is stopped on 3 straight runs and we punt with 2 minutes left. They get it on their 40 Devin Hester makes the pick on our 29!!! 1:31 left. We punt with 30 seconds left. They are on their 29. Time runs out for SD! 21-20 win Oakland and the Giants are tied 31-31... I switch over to that game. Smith is driving them down the field as time is running out. With 2 minutes left, Oakland runs it in! 38-31, Oakland leads. Manning with 2 quick passes gets them to midfield. Manning with a 40 yard pass to Chris Henry. Manning with a TD pass with 30 seconds left. 38-38. Smith gets them to midfield, but time runs out. Oakland wins the coin flip! Smith with a few quick passes gets them inside the 20. Smith to McPhee for a TD!!! 44-38 win for Oakland. Troy Smith tore them up like he did to me. He was 34 of 48 for 435 yards! McPhee is amazing. Week 16, 2013 played in San Diego, CA 68 degrees, fair, calm

Brandon Fields is now 100%.
Bunkley will miss a few weeks with a pulled calf. That is a big blow to our run defense. Quinn Walker dislocated his shoulder. His season is over. We'll have to let McNabb pass quite a bit more and hope he can pull it off. In 15 starts for us this year, Walker had 305 carries for 1336 yards (4.38 avg) with 8 TD's. Not bad at all behind our OL which isn't put together to be a great running team. Troy Smith was the offensive player of the week with his 34 of 48 passing for 435 yards and 4 TD's. LenDale White had 28 carries for 123 yards and 2 TD's for Tennessee. Erik McPhee had 12 catches for 202 yards and a TD. The 3rd year former 2nd round pick is really impressing. DE Dennis Lang, TB, had 4 tackles and 3 sacks to win defensive player of the week. With New York's loss, we are tied in record, but they are 1st by some tie breaker. WE are also tied with Detroit and Minnesota for the two WC spots. Our final game is hosting the 6-9 Redskins (to be played later.) The Giants' final game is against the 4-11 Cowboys |
