Uh, if it was made into a movie it was made into a movie. Seems cut and dry to me.

Also, looks like the Abrams/Lindelof Dark Tower project is on hold/canceled anyway, which is why unless the filming has begun I don't think you should disqualify.

I also think that the 2011 release is iffy at best. All they have is an attached director(who may be busy at the moment) and an attached writer. No footage, no sets, no actors/actresses.

Well that is the beauty if these drafts, there is a lit of interpretation. I'm not saying the picks shouldn't be allowed but I personally wouldn't give credit to an IP if someone gas already had the idea to make it into a film and begun the process

I'm just saying that a couple people sitting on their behinds doesn't qualify as making a movie. If it were, than just about any IP that anyone has ever heard of would be disqualified.

Well when directors and writters have been hired there is an investment there. It's not like 2 dudes sitting in their parents basement saying hey we should make WoW into a movie. Again, not saying it shoulndt be allowed. It just doesn't pass my smell test.

There could be indy films on certain IP's, there could be storylines loosely based on certain IP's, and there could be movies in some form of production on IP's. Intellectual Property itself is a very loose term.
