5 picks until this break, that's not all that terrible. And even then it's only been what, an hour and a half since the last pick? Not great, but hopefully after samifan makes his pick we can stream a few and get a round+ done by the end of the day.

I'm pretty sure RomaGoth is supposed to be picking for Samifan today. I PM'ed him after my pick of Theodore, and he's been around making that list and stuff... Roma?

Not sure if I will be around for HB's next pick, on my way out soon.

EDIT: I forwarded his picks to SR, just in case.

Damn, we pick 20 players?!

So we have some generic forward slots, plus a few utility slots, and then I'm guessing 4 bench spots?

I like that it makes us dig deeper into the depth chart, I just didn't do that math til now.

According to the draft results in Yahoo, we have 20 rounds.

I've updated the Yahoo site with all the picks. I'm sorry but I haven't had time to update this thread with all the posts. I assumed everyone had access to Yahoo during the day. Sorry about that. RomaGoth is doing us all a favor by sending a text only list to everyone.

That's all right, I should have mentioned something before. Early on, it didn't occur to me because hardly anyone was off the board, and finding available players was easier. Now that we're deep into it, I find it has been much more difficult than expected, searching through what sites I do have access to from work.

Thanks for all the hard work, sami!

Can you possibly delete the players list in the first post of this thread? It would make it easier to look at the draft order (at least for me), and it could confuse some of us considering the other thread I started.

Thanks

Roma

I'm going to miss Beauch. He really brings a certain tenacity to the game. No one's going to say he has out and out skill, but he's just a very physical, strong player who plays a smart game. Pairing him with Niedermayer was brilliant--Beauch picked up on some of the finer details of handling a defensive assignment and initiating offense from the back end from playing besides Scotty. I am hoping the Ducks do the same with Sbisa.

Is Toronto playing Beauch as a guy to carry the offense from the blueline when he's out there (as in, his partner is defense first)? I hope not. He's much better if you pair with, say, Kaberle, and let Kaberle jump up while Beauch handles the back end. Beauch will still get his points and contribute, but in that role, he makes Kaberle much more dangerous.

So far he is playing with Kaberle....The Leafs don't really have any other offensive D-men.They work well together since Kabby is a pass 1st,2nd,and 3rd player...he never shoots.

Good, that's exactly the way he should be played (Beauch, that is, I'll take your word on Kaberle).

I'm just trying to collect Left Wingers now so that I can trade some off to bhlloy for a decent defenseman
