D'oh, nevermind. I was trying to do too many things at the same time, and got AENeuman and spleen1015 confused.

I second too. The snake should be even, or it's not fair to the people at the bottom of the order.
However, I'd suggest it just be made "Wildcard" and can be picked in any round instead of just the 12th.

8.2 Best Death In A Dramatic Movie- Ricky gets shot, Boyz N The Hood
This clip doesn't have the most salient part of the scene, where they take Ricky's body back to his mom's house, and she loses it. Then, she also opens up Ricky's test scores, to find that he had a good enough mark to get into USC.

With their 8th pick in the draft...
8.3 Best Death in a Comedy Movie - Freak Gasoline Fight Accident ~ Zoolander "ORANGE MOCHA FRAPPUCCINOS!" Ok, I have to give credit to my wife for this one. As soon as I said "best death in a comedy" she immediately handed this to me.

FYI: Melee is closed out.
Also, Sun Tzu, the gasoline fight wsa possibly going to be my comedic selection. Bastard. "If there is anything that this horrible tragedy can teach us, it's that a male model's life is a precious, precious commodity. Just because we have chiseled abs and stunning features, it doesn't mean that we too can't not die in a freak gasoline fight accident. "

Another pick I was sure would be gone in an early round:
8.9 - Best Death in a Dramatic Movie - Jenny, Forrest Gump He spends his whole life experiencing things most people wouldn't experience in 100 lifetimes, but they don't seem to impact him. All he wants is to be able to be with his Jenny, who doesn't want to be with him. When he finally gets her, she again leaves, but when she does come back, they are only together a short time before she dies. Her memory will live on through their son.

9.2 Best explosion. Leon uses the last but of his strength to pull the pin on a grenade and hand it to Stansfield.
Léon (aka The Professional). Actually, i hate to spoiler this, cause if you haven't seen the movie, you really missed out. Last edited by stevew : 05-02-2009 at 12:04 AM. |

I think the shark itself is separate from a specific death scene that happened in a movie.
IOW, ntndeacon wasn't choosing character "Jaws", he was choosing a scene from a movie. That's just my take on it, anyway. Last edited by sabotai : 05-01-2009 at 09:09 PM. |

Nowhere in the rules does it say the same character can not be picked twice.

9.3 - Best TV Death - Edith Bunker Dies of Caner - All in the Family / Archie Bunker's Place
Surprisingly enough, I still remember watching the final episode when I was 5, and then I think in reruns. I loved that show. It's implied that she dies in this clip - from the last episode, and then confirmed from the clip from "Archie Bunker's Place":
