You know, I really wasn't expecting much from Randy Moss this year. I thought he was going to be a disappointment.

I thought he would be a relative disappointment - good but nothing spectacular. If they can stay healthy, I think this offense is going to break records this year and the Pats have a legitimate shot to go 16-0.

I said this last week, but that Merriman/Jackson Nike commercial is my favorite ad of all time. I get goose bumps watching it.

Does Moss make Brady look better or the other way around? I love Brady as much as the next Pats fan, but I've never seen him as on target as he's been so far this year.

Yeah, that's an excellent ad. I love it and stop what I'm doing to watch it everytime it comes on.

The music sounds kinda Irishish.

During the last NE TD, I think I saw about 3 or 4 cameras on the mascot.

Moss will make any QB look better (but only when he wants to)

Now the Chargers are moving the ball with Tomlinson. I think they have to have their heart in their throats every time Rivers goes back to pass though

It's one of my favorites in a long time, but I think they are overplaying it and it is going to become annoying if they don't play reduce the number of times it is played over the next few weeks.

I think the league should drug test Roosevelt Colvin at half time. Just to be sure.

Moss looks better than I thought, but he has plenty of time to get hurt. I'm wondering if this is TO all over again. He'll be a fairly happy camper for a year before he blows back up.

All that said, I don't think they go 16-0. Tough schedule. An off day and they'll be beat.

The Chargers look il prepared for ANYTHING the Pats throw at them on both sides of the ball. This is really typical Norv Turner. A team with more talent comes out flat and il prepared at the start of the game. The Chargers have FAR more pure talent than the Patriots. . . but they are much worse of a coached team. That's showing through and through in this first quarter.

I've always liked Moss, even through his tough times. Well at least I didn't dislike him .

Owens is a jackass though, I see no comparison between the two.

In any case, even a year of this is worth what was given up.

Huh? The difference between Moss and Owens is that Owens doesn't take plays off. Other than that, the two are nearly identical. (Owens, for all his bluster, NEVER would have pulled what Randy did with the Raiders last year. Both are cancers, one just plays hard all of the time.

I've always though the motivated version of Randy Moss was the best player I've ever seen. Maybe there are enough leaders on the Pats to keep him that way. I have my doubts. . .

Troy's knocks on the Pats are getting easier and easier to take.

I saw Stallworth doing something cool - it looks like they were asking him from the sideline whether they should review that catch, and he was shaking his head. One of my pet peeves is players demanding a review on a play that obviously didn't go their way, costing their team a timeout.

I would agree with that. Anyone in New England who isn't expecting an implosion is delusional.

That being said, they don't have to keep him on the same page THAT long to get to the point where the trade was worth it. If he has a great year and helps the Pats to a Super Bowl this year, it's all gravy after that.

Owens is much more of a distraction, give me a break. I was rooting for the Pats to get Moss for the last two years. I'd be pissed if they ever went after Owens, feel free to save this just in case .

Great to see the Dolphins traded Wes Welker so they could draft someone who is slower and can't catch and much more expensive. But hey, he's a family friend.

Thanks again, Cam!

I wonder if the San Diego GM now sees the error of his ways in letting the head coach and both coordinators from last season go. Doesn't matter how much talent you have, getting a whole new set of coaches almost never goes smoothly.

The Chargers have adjusted a bit on defense. They need some scores on O really fast or this is going to be over. I understand New England and Chicago are very good teams with good defenses, but the Chargers offense simply looks horrible.

Rivers looks like a different QB. Tomlinson doesn't look good. They have less than 300 yards of offense in six quarters this year. They are simply to good for that.

I said that because they failed to convert a 3rd and 1, something they are supposed to do well. Now, they fail to even run it on 3rd and 1 and instead throw an interception. Now, this game is definitely over.

By the way, I'd rather have Owens than Moss. Owens performance in the Super Bowl is one of the greatest things I've ever seen.
