Our First Playoff Game is at 8-8 Minnesota. Minnesota is being led by Kyle Wright who is just a passable QB. However, they have a strong running game with Chester Taylor and Reuben Parris splitting time. Travis Bronson and Devery Henderson are a good pair of starting WR's that can make the big play. The Offensive line is solid at every position. Defensively, they have a solid front 7 with the only weakness being WLB Landon Johnson. The secondary is average with Rashean Mathis being the weak point.
Our rushing offense is 11th. Our passing offense is 12th. Our total offense is 13th. We are 5th in points scored (25.2 ppg) Defensively, we are 22nd against the run and 1st against the pass. We are 5th overall. We are 3rd in points per game allowed at 16.7. Minnesota's rushing offense is 16th. Their passing offense is 6th. Their total offense is 10th. They are 12th in points per game scored (22.2 ppg.) Defensively, they are 19th against the run, 29th against the pass, and 27th overall. They are 8th in points allowed at 18.4 ppg. |

We start on our 27. Udeze with a hurry to force an incompletion. McNabb to Berrian for 19 yards on our next play. A 14 yard completion to Wes Mason on 3rd and 9. A pass to Baskett for 14 yards on 3rd and 8. A 24 yard TD pass to Berrian!! 7-0.
Very good balance of running and passing (37 yards running and 32 yards passing) gets Minesota to our 2. However, we stop them there with 3 straight good plays. Short FG makes it 7-3. 4:10 left in the 1st. Ginn is double covered as usual and he can't catch the 1st pass. Todd Crosby intercepts McNabb's second pass and returns it to our 18. Wright with a 4 yard scramble for a TD a few plays later. 10-7, Minnesota. They force a 3 and out. End of 1: Down 10-7. Minnesota is on their 25. We force a punt from their 25. Bernie Buckner returns the punt 11 yards to our 46. Udeze knocks his 2nd pass of the day down at the line. Douglas breaks off a 28 yard run the next play! A few plays later McNabb to Wes Mason for a 16 yard TD!!! 14-10. 11:19 left in the half. right to Marc Duran for 29 yards. Duran has already burnt us deep twice. Another 29 yard pass to Travis Bronson. They are quickly on our 9. Next play is a 9 yard TD pass to Aaron Moorehead. 17-14. Douglas starts our drive with a 17 yard run. McNabb quickly marches us down the field, but we were stopped on the 34. Ricker nails the 51 yard FG!!! 17-17. 5:30 left. They are killing us with the run. We will upgrade our linebackers next year. Warren, the rookie, with a sack on 1st down! That forces them into a later 3rd and 8 which they convert with a 14 yard pass. They quickly get the ball into our redzone and on our 14. Marshawn Lynch, their 3rd back, with a 10 yard run. A false start pushes them into 2nd goal from the 7. Sherman Gregg defends the 3rd down pass and forces the short FG. 20-17. 1:27 left. Quick 14 yard pass to Douglas to get to midfield. 1:12 left. Smith drops a pass over the middle. McNabb to Mason for 37 yards!!!! Time out and 47 seconds left. We are on their 15. McNabb with a 5 yard draw. They get pressure on McNabb and force a few incompletions. Ricker with the FG to make it 20-20. Halftime: 20-20. McNabb is 10 of 20 for 152 yards. Wright is 11 of 16 for 178 yards. Minnesota starts with the ball. Reuben goes down on their 1st play. Their 2nd back, Chester Taylor, is hurt so Marshawn Lynch will be their main back now. Lynch getting great blocks from Steve Hutchinson and he has a few nice runs to get to our 38, but we stop them at the 34. They punt rather than go for the long FG. A long pass towards Ginn is well defended. They stop us on our 32. A personal foul against us gets them to their 46 quickly. Another long pass to Duran gets them to our 29. A few plays later, Wright to Moorehead for a 25 yard TD. 27-20, Minnesota. 4:28 left in the 3rd. They stop us at their 46 and we punt. Skyler Green is hurt on the punt return. A little over a minute left in the 3rd. End of 3: Minnesota is up 27-20. They have it on our 41. A 25 yard pass to Devery Henderson to get to our 34. LYnch with a few runs to pick up a few first downs and get to our 14. Walker with a sack on the next play and we eventually hold them to a FG. 30-20. 10 minutes left. A great kickoff return starts us on our 41. Holding forces us into 2nd and 16. Levon Stone with great pressure and that would have forced a punt but defensive holding bails us out. Berrian drops a long TD pass. They stop us on the 39. We go for it on 4th down... Ginn drops the pass. A little over 5 minutes left. We force a 3 and out and get it back with 3:33 on our 19. 3 incompletions in a row midway into the drive forces 4th and 10 on our 39. They defend that pass too. Ball game. Minnesota is going to upset us. Cleveland is upsetting New England 34-14. We force a 3 and FG attempt but they make it. 33-20. 1:54 left. Start on our 40. McNabb's bomb is picked off and returned to our 47. Game over. 33-20 loss. We definitely will focus on the defense this draft. In the other playoff games, Tom Brady threw 3 picks as Cleveland upset NE 34-14.
St. Louis barely won at SF 14-13. Tennessee won at Oakland 33-10 as Vince Young dominated. Young had 35 rushing yards and completed 24 of 34 for 273 yards with 2 TD's. Next up is Cleveland at the Colts, Minnesota at Atlanta, St. Louis at Dallas, and Tennessee at Miami. |

Peyton Manning threw 5 TD's in a 42-21 win over Cleveland.
Minnesota beat Atlanta 17-7 as Kyle Wright had 2 long TD's to Devery Henderson. Dallas beat the Rams 37-17 as Pennington had 2 TD's and the Dallas defense played well against Bulger. Tennessee barely won at Miami 20-17 as White had a TD reception and a TD run. LenDale White had 26 catches for 116 yards. Before the Conference Finals, we sign McCoy to a 3 year deal at a little over 4 million. He can be a quality backup if not a starter. Winston Justice has become a great pass blocker. We sign him to a new 5 year deal worth 23 million. Despite his injury, we sign Brodrick Bunkley to a 5 year 33 million dollar deal. He is one of the best DT's in the game. I'm going to wait and see with Considine due to his severe ACL injury. I'll risk losing him in FA, but I don't want to give him the big deal he wants right now. Cole slowed down statistically this year, but we sign him to new 4 year deal worth 25 million. Herremans can play G or C so, I sign him for depth at 3 years and just over 7 million. Lots of guys I'm going to wait and see if I can get cheaper than they want: Considine, Bockwoldt, Berrian, Sheppard, and quite a few others. In the Conference Finals: Minnesota lost at Dallas 34-20 as their defense put tremendous pressure on Kyle Wright. Pennington had 1 nice TD pas and Jose Bell had 2 TD runs for Dallas. Tennessee lost at Indinapolis 49-14. The Colts had 2 interceptions returned for a TD from Morris Montanez. Willie Parker had 3 TD runs and Manning had a TD pass. However, in a cruel twist of fate, Peyton was hurt in the 2nd quarter and will miss the Super Bowl. The Colts will probably start 2nd year QB Cedric Randle in the Super Bowl. It would be his 3rd start all year. In 2 previous starts he completed 57% of his passes for 343 yards with 1 TD 4 INT's. Logs and Box Score to Follow of the game. |

Team Performance: 63/100
Franchise Value: 93/100 Profit/Loss: 53/100 Roster Strength: 62/100 Year End Score: 62/100 A list of notable retirements: CB Ronde Barber, SF C Olin Kreutz, Chi CB Dre' Bly, Det T John Tait, Chi DE John Abraham, Chi OLB Lavar Arrington, NYG WR Plaxico Burress, KC WR Laveranues Coles, KC DE Darren Howard, Cin TE Alge Crumpler, Oak RB Lamont Jordan DE Richard Seymour RB LaDainian Tomlinson, SD CB Phillip Buchanon, Phi WR Donte' Stallworth, Pit CB? Eugene Wilson, NE T Robert Gallery DE Jerome McDouge, Phi (that one was a surprise and hurts a bit.) S Sean Taylor, Was (injury induced) RB Frank Gore Not an exhaustive list, but those are all of the names that caught me eye. Our only expired staff contract is our Defensive Coordinator who is good or very good in most areas but is only average with DB's. I decide to pursue Rich Walsh, the Lions DC who is very good at everything and excellent with linebackers. However, my owner is limited me to 4.3 million and I doubt that will be enough. Hopefully, we can get him or get Quinn Goodwin to re-sign. In the 1st stage, Walsh actually re-signs with the Lions for less than I offered him. We offer Quinn Goodwin, 3 years at 3.9 million in the 2nd stage. Quinn re-signs with us for those terms and that completes our staff. We send 5th round pick, RBC Bernie Buckner to summer league. I expect Bernie to possibly start this year and the extra development should help. After giving it some consideration, I decide to franchise tag Sean Considine and hope that he can recover from his ACL injury. That costs a little over 5 million. The Rams are offering Juan Bernard, a solid G, and their 1st pick (25th) for Alan Douglas. I turn them down. I give Ginn 4 million up front to restructure his deal into a more cap friendly deal. I give Baskett 2.5 million up front to negotiate a more cap friendly deal this year and extend for 2 more years. He is in decline, but it's decent money for a number 3 in the future. Most of the potential FA's are very flawed. The only position players over 60 in rating are two aging DE's who have endurance problems. I decide to pursue Leon Hall, Detroit's CB, who is good at most forms of coverage. His biggest flaw is only 40 endurance. He also had 2 injuries last year, but didn't miss any games. I offer him 4 years for 24 million with a 6.5 million dollar signing bonus. I also decide to take a chance, and it is a big chance, on the best player available. DE Mathias Kiwanuka. He is rated 71/71 by my scout. His biggest flaw is a knee injury last year that limited his production but he still played all 16 games. I offer him 5 years for 40 million with 12 million up front. Leon Hall takes our offer in the 1st possible week. I also offer Colby Bockwoldt a 1 year deal for 1.26 million with no signing bonus. We sign Lito Sheppard and Sedrick Ware to minimal 1 year deals. Bernard Berrian leaves us for a 2 year 4.5 million dollar deal from the Jets. In the 5th week, Mathias Kiwanuka takes our deal. The 7 year vet should hopefully give us 3 quality years at DE. Antoine and Omar Gaither took minimal 1 year deals. I hope to upgrade at MLB, but Omar would be a very good backup MLB. Colby also signed a minimal 1 year deal. We have excellent vets for backups at all our LB positions, but this likely means the release of Sherman Gregg who was a workout wonder, but it never translated consistently to the field. James Mungro ledt us for a 1 year deal from Seattle. I enter the draft with the idea of trading up to get a great OLB who I think could be my starter at SLB for years. If he lasts to #5, I'm going to trade up for him. |

1. Houston takes a can't miss RB, Cole Kanski.
2. Carolina takes a great looking RB Darrin Burke. 3. New York takes Ricardo Morton an excellent looking QB. 4. Denver takes Devin Cain, a very good looking RB. 5. GB takes Toby Osborne, an excellent looking DE. I'm going to hope my OLB drops a few more slots as their is still a great CB (who I might trade up to get instead), a very good looking T, a great looking WR, and a great looking QB. 6. Detroit takes Gene Hall, a superb S. 7. Washington trades to the Colts who take DT Tracy Horn, a very good run stuffer. 8. The Jets take Rex Sikes, a very good looking DT. 9. Washington takes Joel Strain, an excellent pass blocking T. 10. Baltimore takes Josh Barnett, an excellent looking QB. 11. KC takes Brant Fisher, the CB that I think will be great. I'm not willing to take any more chances... I give up my 1st, my 2nd next year, my 3rd this year, my 6th this year, and my 7th this year to move up 14 slots. I take OLB Kim Houston. He played WLB in college, but he has great skills for any linebacking position. He is 6'4 250. He runs a 4.55, has a 26 sole, 22 bench presses, 7.01 agility, 9'7" broad jump and is 34% developed. I'll move him to SLB and start him from day one. My scout believes he will excel in every area except pass rush strength where he will just be good. 13. SD takes RB Matthew Kirk to replace LT who retired. 14. TB takes Edwin Gillespie, a powerful G. 15. Chicago takes Bryan Rouen, a very good looking WR except for lack of YAC ability. 16. Jacksonville takes T Phillip Clinton, a very good blocker. 17. Pittsburgh takes DT Gabe Dupree. 18. Cincinnati takes Levon Rodgers, a very good MLB who I also would have taken in the 1st round. 19. Oakland takes Bobby Humphrey, the last QB who looks 1st round worthy to me. 20. Cleveland takes Ricardo Flannery, a solid looking RB. 21. Minnesota takes Andrew Lagrange, a good looking S. 22. NE takes Gary Finley, a solid blocking C. 23. New Orleans takes Jimmie Segers, a CB who specializes in zone coverage. 24. Seattle takes Trent Akroyd, the other good WR. 25. The Rams take Howie Smith, an undersized safety. 26. Arizona tkaes Desmond Whalen, a reach in my opinion at CB. 27. SF takes RB Freddie Bennett. 28. Atlanta takes CB JR Cassidy. 29. Tennessee takes OLB Timothy Stephenson 30. Miami takes G Bubba Tirthe. 31. Dallas takes RB Kyle Copeland 32. Indianapolis takes Malcolm Emerson, a CB that I would have taken ahead of Arizona's pick. With our 2nd round pick, we take Greg Van Valkenberg, an undersized (5'9 180) but talented CB who excels at Man Coverage. With our 4th round pick, we take a QB that my scouts love. Billy Joe Chapman is very young and raw, but they think he could be an excellent QB one day. With our 5th round pick (our last pick) we take Orlando Alston, a 6'0 245 MLB with some decent pass coverage ability and very good run stopping potential. Here is a report on the entire draft: NFL 2012 Draft

Oakland is offering me Daniel Cottrill an average C and their 2nd round pick for Alan Douglas. I turn them down.
Sean Considine is holding out due to my franchising him. A look at the early rookie ratings: OLB Kim Houston is 44/85 at his WLB and 44/85 at SLB Rookie CB Greg Van Valkenberg is rated 34/59 and may end up starting right away. At worst, he will be a nickel back. MLB Orlando Alston is rated 12/54. QB Billy Joe Chapman is rated 12/70. In post draft FA, Jeremy Shockey is the best player available at 62/62. I offer him a 2 year deal worth 4.4 million. We also offer FB Tommie Albertson, a 4th year player who specializes in blocking a 1 year deal. We also offer Devard Darling a 1 year deal to come back to our team at FL. Finally, we offer RT Mack Corbett a minimum vet deal to come back for another year. Shockey took a slightly smaller deal to go to Carolina which desperately needs a TE. We eventually get everyone else we offered a deal to. We spend a bit more time on special teams during this FA period, as I think both Akers and Ricker's FG percentage might be suffering from not enough time in this area. We sold out for the season (1st time in 3 years.) Considine decided to end his holdout after training camp. The bad news is that I'll probably be unable to extend him if he bounces back from his injury. However, he already took a bit of a ratings hit due to the injury/age. Here is a look at the roster now: Code:

Notable Changes in Ratings:
McNabb loses a few more points in ratings. Billy Joe Chapman's potential has come down by 11 points LJ Smith is in decline. Ginn gained a point. Ricker lost some potential and some power. I'll shorten his max attempts this year. Trent Cole lost a few ponts. Mathias Kiwanuka, our new signee lost 9 points but still looks like a very solid DE. Bunkley lost 8 points. Orlando lost a few points of potential. Kim Houston lost 4 points of potential but gained a point in current. Sherman Gregg continues to creep up, but is going to get cut probably. Brown, Hester, and Hall each lost about 5-7 points. Lewis lost 7 points. Our rookie CB lost 5 points of potential. |

We put our young C Aaron Sweeney on the Injured Reserve and sign Howard Cano, a good pass blocker who has a chance of winning the starting job.
Before pre-season even begins, I release Willie Davis. We'll keep Sherman Gregg who at least is creeping up as a backup. We lose our first pre-season game 33-7 to KC at Billy Joe struggled some with 13 of 28 passing for 170 yards with 2 picks. KC has Chad Pennington as their QB now and he did well in limited time. Wes Mason was our leading receiver with 6 catches for 51 yards. He'll probably win the starting SE job this year. Kim Houston has 7 tackles in his first game. Darling had a 61 yard reception from our young QB. Our 2nd pre-season game, we beat the Jets 20-3. Billy Joe was 14 of 25 for 95 yards with 2 TD's. Wes Mason was the leading receiver with 5 catches for 45 yards. Kim Houston had 5 tackles and a pick at SLB. Bernie Buckner who may win a starting corner job had 2 passes defensed. Rookie CB Greg Van Valkenberg had a pass defensed and an interception. The bad news is that Darwin Walker suffered a torn ligament in his ankle and will miss the entire year. That was a position I couldn't afford to lose a guy. Also, Levi Brown broke his ankle and will miss 4-6 weeks. We sign DT Johnathan Sullivan who is a solid run stuffer to a min vet deal. Interestingly, he will become a team leader at the position but 3 guys like him. In our 3rd pre-season game, we beat SD 21-17 as McNabb had 2 TD passes in the 1st quarter. McNabb was 11 of 11 for 156 yards with the 2 TD's in a little over a quarter. Billy Joe Chapman was 14 of 17 for 92 yards and a TD. Mason was our leading receiver again with 6 catches for 65 yards and a TD. Mathias Kiwanuka had 2 sacks for us. Houston and Greg Van Valkenberg each had 2 passes defensed. In that game, Lito Sheppard suffered an elbow injury. He'll be out for a few weeks. Our Final Pre-season game, we beat NE 31-0. McNabb had 3 TD's in the 1st half. Billy Joe was 5 of 11 for 34 yards in the 2nd half. Houston had 5 tackles. Sullivan had 2 sacks! Matt McCoy broke his foot and will miss 7-9 weeks. Colby therefore becomes the starter at WLB. After pre-season, it is apparent that Westbrook is in serious decline. Baskett is also in decline. Kim Houston gained 6 points of current during the pre-season Greg Van Valkenberg gained 6 points of current during the pre-season. Buckner only gained 3. Guys who won starting jobs: SE Wes Mason C Antoine Smith (but he could easily be replaced by Cano or Herremans if he gives up too many sacks.) DT Sione Pouha (sort of by default - Sullivan lacks the endurance to be an every down DT.) MLB Omar Gaither (the rookie is too undeveloped.) SLB Kim Houston (no surprise, he is showing signs that he will be great.) CB Greg Van Valkenberg (quick growth in pre-season means that more established corners such as Leon Hall will play behind him.) |

Our first game is at Washington. Washington's Jason Campbell is out for this year too and they are reportedly going to start Pat Julmiste at QB. We should be able to dominate the young QB with our improved defense. Steve Breaston is the main threat we have to watch out for. Defensively, they are very solid at every position with SLB Korey Wells being rated 70.

Westbrook is banged up a bit but should be able to play next week.
Greg Van Valkenberg has a bruised ribcage but will start. Sedrick Ware is probably done for the season with ACL damage to the knee. There is a chance he will be ready for the playoffs. Greta's Top 10 Most Careful QB's: 10. Brady Quinn, Det 9. Eli Manning, NYG 8. Ben Roethlisberger, Pit 7. Peyton Manning, Ind 6. Jake Delhomme, Car 5. Jay Cutler, Den 4. Matt Hasselbeck, Sea 3. Carson Palmer, Cin 2. Tom Brady, NE 1. Alex Smith, SF Aaron Rodgers was the offensive player of the week with 35 of 50 passing for 451 yards and 3 TD's. Dave Mahoney, Atl had 26 carries for 147 yards. Greg Jennings, GB had 13 catches for 211 yards and 2 TD's. Quentin Moses, DE Buf, had 4 tackles and 3.5 sacks to win defensive player of the week. This week we host Cincinnati. Carson Palmer is one of the best QB's in the league. However, Chad Johnson has a broken leg and as a result he has below average WR's with Tab Perry being his best. He also has a below average running back in Bert Hargrave. The offensive line is solid except for RG Stacy Andrews. Defensively, their RDE Dana Moorthy is a weakness, but the rest of the line is good. Their cornerbacks are below average but William Boone and Brad Diaz are excellent safeties. |

Lito Sheppard is now healthy, but is now the 6th CB on my depth chart.
However, Leon Hall is our for a few weeks with a strained calf muscle. Therefore, Lito will be activated. Considine is out for a few weeks with a seperated shoulder and I'll be asking some of my corners to play backup safety. Devin Hester is questionable with a strained hamstring. I'll give him a week or two off. All of these injuries mean that my two youngest cornerbacks will start. Greg at LCB and Bernie Buckner at RCB. Brown and Sheppard will back them up. Brown will also play backup safety. Greta's Best M2M Defenders: 10. Josh Bullcoks, Cle 9. Stuart Schweigert, Oak 8. Troy Polamalu, Pit 7. Sean Considine, Phi 6. Nathan Vasher, Chi 5. George Wickliff, Pit 4. Brent Lyons, SD 3. Richie Monroe, Stl 2. Laron Landry, SD 1. Jim Hildebrand, Car Trent Cain, a rookie QB taken in the 6th round by TB and currently ranked 14/34 by my scout, was the offensive player of the week with 30 of 37 passing for 445 yards and 3 TD's! My scout does think he has a potential of 85 in deep passing and very deep passing. Geoff Bush, Pit, had 30 carries for 151 yards and a TD. Jeff Samardzija, StL, had 7 catches for 172 yards and a TD. CB Malcolm Emerson, Ind had 5 tackles, 1 sack, 1 pass defensed and 3 interceptions to win defensive player of the week. Malcolm was taken 32nd in this year's draft and is only rated 38/55 by my scouts. Our next game is hosting GB. Adrian Peterson is questionable for this game and Cory Reel, a good back is expected to start. Aaron Rodgers is rated 66 but 99 in long passes 99 in accuracy and we will have a tough task ahead of us. He just signed a new 5 year 100 million dollar deal and he is playing very well so far this year. He has completed 55 of 74 passes for 732 yards with 5 TD's 0 INT's. The offensive line is solid across the board and Greg Jennings is a very good receiver. Defensively, the front 7 is excellent with MLB Nick Barnett being a standout. The secondary is questionable with an aging Bob Sanders being their best player. Hopefully, we'll be able to score on some deep balls against this secondary. |

Albert Harris broke his clavicle and will miss about 6 weeks.
Due to the injuries, we move Sheldon Brown to FS as a position change for the season. He actually gains a few points of current/potential. Greta's Best Special Teams Players: 10. Marty Hester, GB 9. Devin Hester, Phi 8. Derrick Johnson, KC 7. Quinn Walker, Ari 6. LeRoy Hill, Atl 5. Nick Barnett, GB 4. Lito Sheppard, Phi 3. Rocky McIntosh, Buf 2. Matthew Kirk, SD 1. Greg Jennins led all receivers with his 10 catches for 185 yards and 2 TD's against us. Charlie Anderson, OLB Jets, had 8 tackles, 4 assists, and 2.5 sacks to win defensive player of the week. Kim Houston had an honorable mention. Our next game is hosting Atlanta. Atlanta's Austin Duncan is developing into a fine QB and he throws an excellent deep ball. Dave Mahoney is one of the best backs in the league. Justin Gage and Roddy White are two decent receivers. The offensive line is solid with LT Khalif Barnes being the best player. Defensively, they have some weak players along the front 7 including DE J.R. Clinton. However, they have some good players such as DE Mark Anderson. The linebacking corp is solid across the board with an again Brian Urlacher being the best player. Nate clements and DeAngelo Hall are out with injuries and Corey Gardner is starting at LCB and he is a major weakness. The rest of the secondary is fine. |

GREAT punt is downed on the 1! Mahoney with a 44 yard power run to get them room and a lot more. Mahoney with a 9 yard run to convert 3rd and 7. Cole finally getting some good pressure on the QB. However, Gage with an 18 yard reception on 3rd down. That puts them on our 10. We stop them on the 5 as Kim Houston tackles Mahoney. They kick the FG. 3-0. End of 1: Down 3-0. We are on our 39. A penalty negates a 3rd down pass and forces us to punt. After getting the ball back, McNabb nails Mason in stride for a 19 yard gain. The defense stops us after that. Defenses dominate most of the quarter, until Alan Douglas breaks off a 32 yard run, followed by a 14 yard run, followed by a 9 yard TD reception! 7-3. 3 minutes left in the half. We stop them at midfield as time is expiring, but Buckner fumbles the punt return! That puts them on our 28. Time runs out! Halftime: Up 7-3. McNabb is 11 of 13 for 121 yards and a TD. Our punter with another GREAT punt of 58 yards that is downed on their 1 early in the 3rd. Greg Olsen, our former TE, catches a 5 yard pass on 3rd and 3 from the 8. So far, defenses are winning the battle. Atlanta's Mark Anderson sacks McNabb, forces a fumble, and recovers it on our 17. Defenses have rules. Austin to Owens their TE for a TD. 10-7. Wes Mason returns the kickoff for a TD!!!! 14-10. End of 3: Up 14-10. Atlanta has it on their 24. McNabb picks up a minor injury early in the 4th. Defenses still mostly winning the battle. Lito Sheppard and Brown (at FS) have made some good plays this half. McNabb tries to go for a homerun ball to Ginn, but he overthrows it and we end up punting yet again. 7 minutes left. Mahoney turns another screen into a 24 yard gain. He did this earlier in the game too. That is the first time they have been in our half for a while. Winston Kinney, DE Oak, had 6 tackles, 2 assists, and 3.5 sacks to win defensive player of the week. We are 3-1 now. Next, we host the 1-3 Saints. Marques Colston has been injured and that has hurt their offense as teams have doubled Calvin Johnson. However, the offense is very dangerous with Drew Brees, Reggie Bush and Calvin Johnson all being rated above 70. However, the money spent on their big offensive weapons has caused them to skimp at other positions. Their offensive line is weak. Their secondary is very weak, made moreso by injuries to S Roman Harper and CB Carlton Schuler. They are starting a guy that is rated 13/22 at SS as a result. The rest of the secondary isn't any good either. The LB's are also a weakness. It might be a high scoring game, but we should be able to score quite a bit against them. |

Delhomme with a 22 yard pass to convert an early 3rd and 15. Next play, 42 yard pass to Max Farmer, his WR. Next play is a 2 yard run by Burke. 7-0.
We start on our 26. Peppers with early pressure on McNabb. However, his 2nd play is a 20 yard pass to Mason. Donovan with another minor injury a few plays later, but he will remain in the game. However, his next 2 passes are incomplete and we punt. Both defenses are in control for the rest of the 1st. End of 1: Carolina is up 7-0. We have it on our 8. McNabb to Darling for 31 yards to start the 2nd quarter. McNabb threw for most of the 93 yard drive that ends in a 17 yard TD pass to Darling. 7-7. Mathias with a sack on 3rd down ends their next drive at their 40. A holding call forces us into 3rd and 13 and the pass to Ginn only gets 11, so we punt. Lewis and Considine are both 100% now as is Westbrook.
Jamaal Brown has a hyperextended elbow and will miss a few weeks. Donovan McNabb has a torn thumb ligament. He could play but there is a risk of re-injury and a performance hit. He'll miss at least a few weeks Billy Joe Chapman will get a start in his rookie year. Furthermore, we aren't really built to be a grind it out team as Douglas is a great receiver and big play back and our linemen are mostly best at pass blocking. We'll keep our same gameplan since Billy Joe has a high potential at deep passes and see what he can do, at least for a week. Kim Houston has shoulder tendinitis. He has a very low risk of re-injury and we'll risk it. Greta's Best Deep Passers: 10. Renaldo Harden, Buf 9. Vince Young, Ten 8. Carson Palmer, Cin 7. Ben Roethlisberger, Pit 6. Alex Smith, SF 5. Brady Quinn, Det 4. Aaron Rodgers, GB 3. Tom Brady, NE 2. Eli Manning, NYG 1. Peyton Manning, Ind Jay Cutler, Den, was the offensive player of the week with 24 of 31 passing for 294 yards and 4 TD's. Peyton Manning had over 400 yards and 3 TD's with 1 INT. Dave Mahoney had 28 carries for 144 yards and a TD for Atlanta. Dwayne Jarrett, Ind, had 8 catches for 151 yards and a TD. Ronald McDuffee, DT SD, had 6 tackles and 2 sacks to win defensive player of the week. Trent Cole and Michael Haynes were honorable mentions. Our 5-1 record has us 2nd in the NFC now. The Rams are 6-0. The only other undefeated team is the Colts at 6-0. We travel to Tampa Bay for our next game. They are 2-4 and are missing their top 2 QB's for this game. Instead, they are starting 6th round rookie Trent Cain who has played well in his first few starts despie being ranked 16/34 currently by our scouts. He has started every game this year. He has completed 70% of his passes (he has 100 timing) and has thrown for 1438 yards with 7 TD's and 3 INT's. Hopefully, we can cool off this hot rookie. Carnell Williams is an excellent running back who provides solid balance for them. Steve Smith remains a very good WR and has been a big part of Trent's success. The offensive line is good except for RT Victor Small who we should demolish today. Defensively, they are below average in the secondary but very strong in the front 7 with DE Dennis Lang playing terrific football. FS Will Allen is the only good player in the secondary. Let's see what the rookie can do. |

Leon Hall is now 100%.
Levi Brown is out for a few weeks which is going to force me to rush Jamaal Brown back and hope that he doesn't get re-injured. McNabb is healing well and I'm going to go back to him despite the rookie doing ok. Hopefully, he won't get re-injured. Especially, since our next game is hosting the Giants. Greta's Top Pass-Catching Tight Ends: 10. Vernon Davis, SF 9. Kevin Everett, Buf 8. Paul Araguz, Cin 7. Randy McMichael, Mia 6. Owen Daniels, Det 5. Jason Witten, Dal 4. Fernando Leftwich, Jax 3. Ben Troupe, Ten 2. Heath Miller, Pit 1. Dennis Abel, Ind Jay Cutler was the offensive player of the week again as he completed 30 of 45 passes for 356 yards with 4 TD's. Brent Borg, Bal, had 14 carries for 132 yards and a TD. Dwayne Jarrett had 10 catches for 153 yards and 3 TD's. DE Derrick Burgess, Oak, had 5 tackles and 2.5 sacks to win defensive player of the week. Our next game is hosting the remarkably healthy Giants. They have 100% health! Eli Manning is a great QB in this universe and he is rated 91/91 now. The running backs are a weakness, but with the focus we have to pay attention to the pass, they'll make some plays. Sinorice Moss is a very good receiver but Brad Bates is a poor #2 receiver. The offensive line is very solid. Defensively, Barry Cofield anchors a very good defensive line that misses Mathias but still has the ability to generate solid pressure. The linebacking corp has fallen into a weak state. Darnell Turnbull is the only secondary player with talent and their corners are particularly weak. Despite all of the defensive problems, the offense has them at 4-2. Our 5-2 record is tied with Dallas and this is a must win game for us to get the bye down the road. |

OLB Thomas Davis, Car, had 11 tackles, 3 sacks, and an interception to win defensive player of the week. Our next game (which will be played later tonight or tomorrow) is hosting the 3-5 Washington Redskins. They continue to start Pat Julmiste who is improving in ratings as the season progresses and continues to play fairly well. Steve Breaston is a solid WR. The offensive line is good. The defensive line is excellent. The secondary has a big weakness at LCB that hopefully we can exploit better this game. |

Despite starting at our 2 on our first drive, McNabb comes out passing and on the 3rd play he hits Danny Peterson for a 30 yard gain.
A few plays later, Westbrook runs it in from the 7 yard line for a TD. 7-0. McNabb was 8 of 8 for 101 yards on that drive. On Washington's 2nd drive, Breaston catches a ball for 32 yards on 3rd and 17. But we stop the next few plays and force a punt from midfield. McNabb's 2nd pass of the 2nd drive is a 33 yard gain to Darling. 3 plays later, he hits Danny Peterson for 24 yards on 3rd and 10. End of 1: Up 7-0, we are on their 8. They stop us on the 5 and a short FG makes it 10-0. Our run defense looks very good early. Cole and Poule comgine on the sack to force a punt from their 35. McNabb to Mason for 26 yards and a TD to finish a quick aerial drive. 17-0. Midway through the 2nd and McNabb is already over 200 yards! We force a 3 and out with great run defense on 3rd and 1. Good defense forces us to punt right back. Leon Hall with a pick at their 44 and he returns it to their 20. 10 yard pass to Douglas. Personal foul for 5 yards. Douglas with a 5 yard TD run! 24-0. 1 minute left in the half. Halftime: 24-0 lead. McNabb is 16 of 20 for 240 yards so far. Wes Mason with a good kickoff return to start us at our 45. We go exclusively with the run and eat up 7 minutes before we are stopped inside the 20 and kick a FG. 27-0. Jermaine Harden is now in the game for Washington. Harden with a few nice throws get them to our half, but we stop them outside the 30. A long FG makes it 27-3. End of 3: Up 27-3, but they have it on our 37. Billy Joe is in the game to hand off to Douglas now. We are just running it a few plays, punting, and then playing good defense. Considing intercepts it at our 32 and returns it to our 44. With a minute left, we kick a short FG to make it 30-3. Game over. 30-3 win for us. Week 9, 2012 played in Philadelphia, PA 58 degrees, fair, 7 mph wind

Greta's Top 10 Left Tackles: 10. Bryant McKinnie, Min 9. Chris Samuels, Was 8. Sam Baker, NE 7. George Foster, Den 6. Jordan Gross, Car 5. Marcus McNeill, SD 4. Charles Spender, Hou 3. Alex Barron, Stl 2. Mike Williams, Jax 1. D'Brickashaw Ferguson Zach Knight, Colts, was the offensive player of the week with 25 of 31 passing for 241 yards and 3 TD's. Zach is a FA pickup that was a 2009 5th round draft pick by the Rams before being released 2 years later. His best attribute is a 50 in deep passes. Peyton who is in his 15th year is out for a week or two due to a hyperextended elbow. Geoff Bush had 36 carries for 129 yards for Pittsburgh. Greg Jennings, GB, had 6 catches for 182 yards and 2 TD's. Dan Boone, DE Cin, had 10 tackles and 2.5 sacks to win defensive player of the year. We are now 7-2 which is best in the NFC. St. Louis is 6-2, Dallas is 6-3, Steattle is 5-3, and Minnesota is 5-3. In the AFC, the COlts are 8-1 and 1st in the conference. Our next game hosting the 6-3 Cowboys. They have turned to Aaron Brooks as their QB! He is rated 27 by my scouts who think all he can do is throw a good deep ball. In 9 starts this year, he has completed 133 of 217 passes (61%) for 1360 yards with 8 TD's and 7 INT's. Kyle Copelnad is a good back who has almost 1000 yards rushing already. Jason Witten, Jamie Miklusicak, and Jeff Springer are all good receiving options. The offensive line is solid across the board. DEfensively, they are excellent with potential pro bowl players at every position in the front 7. The biggest standout this year is DE Chris Canty. They are running a 3-4 and all of the linebackers are rated over 65. RCB Burt Fletcher who is playing due to injury to the starter is the only weakness in the defense. I'm tempted to modify my offense, but I don't really have a good pound it back. So, we'll stick with what we do. |

A long pass is intercepted by Roy Williams on the 7. Down 23-0, we put Chapman in as McNabb's thumb is hurting him again. So far, he is 0 for 6 as we punt again. Game over. 23-0 loss. The Browns' first drive displayed strong balance with slightly more rushing yards. We were fortunate a penalty hurt them at the end and we stopped them at the 4. FG makes it 3-0.
79 yard kickoff return by Wes Mason stats us at the 20. 15 yard pass to Ginn for a Touchdown! 7-3. We quickly get the ball back with a 3 and out. End of 1: Up 7-3, we have it on their 14. They stop us on the 16 and Ricker makes the 33 yard FG. 10-3. We intercept Frye's deep pass to get the ball back in our half, but can't do anything with it and end up punting. Cleveland drives to our 30, but we stop them there and force a FG. 10-6. McNabb runs a great 2 minute drill that is punctuated by a 28 yard pass to Baskett to get us to their 21. We run out of time and kick a 29 yard FG. 13-6. Halftime: 13-6. McNabb is 9 of 14 for 133 yards so far. Douglas fumbled twice on our first drive of this half, but we recovered both times. Ginn is now 100%. Several players picked up minor injuries, but they can all safely continue to play.
Greta's Premiere Linebackers: 10. Channing Crowder, Mia 9. Kim Houston, Phi!!! 8. Manny Lawson, SF 7. Benjamin Nixon, Hou 6. Korey Wells, Was 5. Bobby Carpenter, Dal 4. DeMarcus Ware, Dal 3. Derrick Johnson, KC 2. Nick Barnett, GB 1. Shawne Merriman, SD David Carr, Hou, completed 26 of 35 passes for 443 yards with 4 TD's to win offensive player of the week. Ronnie Brown, Mia, had 32 carries for 150 yards and 2 TD's. Roy Williams, Det, had 13 catches for 227 yards and a TD. CB Will Allen, Bal, had 5 tackles and 3 interceptions to win defensive player of the week. Trent Cole, Bunkley, and Houston were all honorable mentions. We are now 8-3 and are tied with Dallas for first in the NFC, but they have the tie breaker over us. We now play at the 7-4 Rams. Their passing attack remains one of the most dangerous in the game. Marc Bulger is a great deep thrower, but he is out for this game with a hyperextended elbow. Instead, they'll probably turn to 2nd year man Brady Aber who is a QB with good potential but only 24 current rating. His strong points are very short passes and short passes. He is terrible at throwing it deep. Sidney Rice is a burner who could turn those short passes into big gains, but he had thrived with Bulger and the deep ball. The offensive line is solid with LT Alex Barron being the biggest standout. Defensively, the front 7 is decent but not nearly as good as the last two I've faced. DT Randal Middleton is their best overall player and MLB Tim McGarigle is the best of the linebackers. The secondary are all ok at their jobs. |

He only has 39 carries for 153 yards this year. Brent Borg is a below average back. Demetrius Williams is a good #1 receiver and Ryan moore is an excellent possession receiver who can adjust to poorly thrown balls well. The offensive line is solid across the board with LG Donnell Clinton being the best. Defensively, Haloti Ngata is a beast at DT. The entire defense is slightly above average, but not nearly as good as they used to be. The secondary is very ordinary. Now a look at the Standings: Code:

Our next game is at the 10-4 Steelers. Geoff Bush is one of the best running backs in the game. Orien Harris is one of the best DE's in the game (rated 90) and LCB George Wickliff is also one of the best (also rated 90.) The rest of the defense is good with Troy Polamalu being the only other star player. Santonio Holmes is a good #1 receiver but Percy winters is a weak #2 receiver. Big Ben is a good but not great QB. The offensive line is decent with the exception of the LG Jackie Dern who is below average. Thanks to Bush, their rushing offense is 1st in the league. Bush already has over 1600 yards. Their passing offense is 27th. Overall, they are 10th. They are 7th in scoring with 24.4 ppg. Defensively, they are 10th against the run. They are 1st against the pass. They are 2nd overall. For the first time in a long time, McNabb is 100%.
Brown, Hancock, Ware, Alston, and Greg VV are all 100%, too. Bunkley and Sheppard need a bit more time off. Reserve G Jahri Evans is doubtful and will miss at least a week due to a hyperextended knee. Greta's Best Blocking TE's: 10. Heath Miller, Pit 9. Paul Araguz, Cin 8. Marty Kramer, GB 7. Fernando Leftwich, KC 6. Timothy Owens, Atl 5. Kellen Winslow, Cle 4. Tony Scheffler, Den 3. Vernon Davis, SF 2. Ben Troupe, Ten 1. Chuck O'Bryan, Min Drew Brees, QB NO, won the offensive player of the week with 30 of 40 passing for 339 yards and 3 TD's. Quinn Walker, Ari, had 21 carries for 209 yards and a TD. Brad Bates, WR NYG, had 6 catches for 137 yards. CB Derrick Strait, NYJ, had 4 tackles, 1 sack and 2 interceptions to win the defensive player of the week. Our final game of the year is at Dallas. They beat us badly at our home early in the year. The winner of this game has the #1 seed throughout the playoffs. Dallas is missing star safety Roy Williams which helps. Also, DE Chris Canty is questionable for this game. Aaron Brooks is probable but the rest of their team is healthy. Dallas's rush attack is 2nd in the NFL with 140 YPG. Their passing offense is 32nd and they are 27th overall. They are -5 in turnover margin. Defensively, they are 1st against the run. They are 8th against the pass and they are 1st overall. They are allowing 16.9 ppg which is 4th overall. We are going to attempt to run more to take pressure off of our offensive line. |

Canty is playing and he stuffs our first run and helps force a 3 and out.
A few good runs move them down the field, but we stop them at the 13. A 30 yard FG makes it 3-0. A defensive pass interference call on a bomb gets us to their 32 quickly. Ware already has 2 sacks. Ricker with a 49 yard FG to make it 3-3. Good defense forces a quick punt by Dallas. Westbrook fumbles a screen pass on our 2nd play and Dallas recovers on our 36. The defense holds stout, but Gardner hits a 49 yard FG. 6-3. End of 1: Down 6-3. 19 yard pass to Ginn to start the quarter, but we get stopped on their 35 and punt rather than try the long FG. Ricker nails a 51 yard FG on our next drive! 6-6. 4:38 left in the half. Omar Gaither who was playing great this game goes down with an injury late in the half. 37 yard TD from Brooks to Milukisac makes it 13-6 with 2:40 left. Ware with another sack to force us to go 3 and out. Copeland with a few big runs and Brooks with a few big throws to get them inside the 25 before the end of the half where they kick the FG. 16-6. Halftime: Down 16-6 and we are kicking off. Copeland with a 22 yard run to start the half. He isn't rated that greatly, but he is making some big runs all year long. Cole with a sack on 3rd and 8 on our 38 to push them out of FG range. However, they punt it to our 1... McNabb throws a 26 yard pass that is called back for holding which results in a safety! 18-6. Unless our defense comes up with a big play, I don't see us turning this one around. They force a quick punt and a good punt return by Buckner starts us at their 46. McNabb scrambles for 5. Incomplete pass. 14 yard pass to Dave Thomas for a 1st. On their 27: Incomplete pass. 3 yard pass to Douglas. Tim Shaw, their OLB, intercepts it on the 7 and returns it to the 27. That is a game killer. End of 3: Down 18-6. Short FG makes it 21-6 with 14 minutes left. They stop us at the 32 and Ricker misses a 49 yard attempt. With 2 minutes left, McNabb leads us down the field and gets us a TD!!!! 21-13. We recover the onside kick! On 4th and 5, they stop us after a gain of 4 on a pass to Baskett. We force a 3 and out, but only 47 seconds left with no timeouts and we are on our 13. We can't drive down the field before time runs out. 21-13 loss. That loss means we are tied for the best record in the NFC, but Dallas has the tie breaker. They will get the bye and since we are from the same divison, we won't get the 2nd bye. Week 17, 2012 played in Dallas, TX 45 degrees, fair, calm
