Two missed FG's and some timely drops by the Titans. Throw in 100 blitzes by the Chargers defense and this one is in the books.

The Chargers/ Titans game was a lot closer than the score says. Really I just was lucky tonight as I was yesterday. I did set a new record with 9 sacks in a game. I wouldn't say a 100 blitzes, but maybe around 50. Lol. Good game Raven.

Here are the schedules for Weeks 7 and 8. I propose that we suspend the FML this week to allow those who are behind to catch up. That should be ample time for any unplayed games to be played, except for maybe some of the Chargers' games.

unfortunately, Fritz is out due to a broken PS2, and we will need people to substitute for him with the Dolphins, unless primelord's friend wants in. In the meantime, I suggest we use the substitute players approach. Coach TD7, I can play the Week 3 Dolphins at Chargers game tonight if you'd like.

Doug, what is the update on your situation? Can you get your disk working? If not, are you going to buy a new one, or drop out of the league? I'd understand if you aren't up for buying another copy. Just let us know. Thanks.

My PS2 is still not reading the disc, so I don't know...I could buy another copy, but I am just not sure if I want to spend $30 (on a used copy) just to play in the FML....I will give it some thought and have a deffinitate answer for you soon. I would suggest maybe start looking for a new owner... I don't think I want to spend the money, but if worse comes to worse and you guys can't find a new owner I will see what I can do.

Week 2

Jets - 20
Chargers - 17

This was actually a pretty ugly game all around. Several turnovers by both teams kept the scoring down. Coach TD7 did an excellent job getting me out of my game plan. He forced me to throw more often than I like and when I can't establish the run I tend to struggle on offense.

The game went into the half tied at 10 and after trading touchdowns in the second half I was lucky to come away with a FG and it was just enough to hold on for the win.

Primelord is right it was ugly! Brees completed 8 out of 28 passes and had 3 ints. 11 drop balls aided to this along with the superb defensive play by Primelord. Great game Primelord!

Coach: I think we may have trouble finding someone who wants to take over a 1-4 team in a 13-game season. Just 2 more losses would probably assure no playoff spot...

Maybe we should just have fill-in players from within the league play out the Bills' schedule?

On another topic: Is anyone interested in taking over as the commissioner after Season 2 is done? I'm thinking this season will be it as far as me running the show. It just takes a lot of time and effort to keep things running, and I'm honestly tired of doing it at this point. I would be glad to continue playing, but I don't want to be the one in charge after this season.

Any volunteers?

This has been fun...played some of the best Madden games ever in this league. I don't think I could hack being commish next season though

Kodos, I like the idea of rotating owners playing out Doug's games...I think it'll keep us on track and we won't have to worry about finding someone else. Can I request you to play as the Bills for my week 8 game?

And if anyone knows how to get a hold of White_Rabbit other than on Madden online, that would be good to know, so I can make up our game (week 5, I think?).

Hey guys. So our league is stumbling a bit. We have two teams that are ownerless, although White Rabbit is supposed to take over the Dolphins, but he hasn't showed up yet. Also, we have a backlog of games that haven't been played. I've been hesitant to apply the forfeit rule, because things just come up sometimes, but we need to get games caught up. With that in mind, I will put the forfeit rules in play for any Week 1 through 6 games that have not been played by the end of Sunday night just to get things moving along again and get everyone on the same page again. If you have been attempting to play games but your opponent has been uncooperative, let me know. Posting in this thread to set up games is a good idea so that there is evidence that you have tried. If I can't tell who is not trying, I will be forced to give both teams the forfeit, and nobody wants that.

As for the Bills, I think it is pointless to try to find an owner for them. Nobody is going to want to take over a team that is close to being eliminated. I propose that we use substitute players to play out those games. Whatever the conference of the team that the Bills are playing against in a given week is, a member of the opposing conference would play that game so there is no temptation to throw a game. I can certainly play several Bills games myself, just let me know when you need me. And hey, I'm an easy victory, so you guys should jump at the chance.

Kodos: In that case, why don't we make games against the Bills not count as forfeits for the Bills, and have people make them up on an "as you can" basis against any other owner they have time to face? That way eliminate the time aspect for a game that they have most likely been trying to schedule. Just a thought...

Just 2 more losses would probably assure no playoff spot... Maybe we should just have fill-in players from within the league play out the Bills' schedule? On another topic: Is anyone interested in taking over as the commissioner after Season 2 is done? I'm thinking this season will be it as far as me running the show. It just takes a lot of time and effort to keep things running, and I'm honestly tired of doing it at this point. I would be glad to continue playing, but I don't want to be the one in charge after this season. Any volunteers?

I don't think I could hack being commish next season though Kodos, I like the idea of rotating owners playing out Doug's games...I think it'll keep us on track and we won't have to worry about finding someone else. Can I request you to play as the Bills for my week 8 game?
