I'm glad I took the Pats today... it'll help me get over my realization that the Lions will never make the Super Bowl in my lifetime

Steelers, listen to me. Keep Bettis off the field unless it's a short yardage situation.

If you're trying to win the game, yes. The only thing they're achieving by running Bettis is putting themselves in X and long situations and running the clock.

Great play by the kid there. As I sad, this is not over by a longshot..

and that WAS A fumble, but there was no way they could tell who recovered it, so i guess that's a good non-call.

The endzone angle looks pretty clear to me that almost the entire ball hammers the ground.

I certainly don't envy the ref. I think this is as close a call as possible.

You had it right the first time, Bert Emmanual was the guy. From the Tampa/St. Louis championship game in 99.

I wonder if Asante Samuel practices with the Seahawks receivers in the offseason.

If they get in the endzone, things may get a little uncomfortable in New England.

Shouldn't there be 7 seconds left on the clock if Ward stepped out of bounds?

Unless you are in the last 5 minutes of either half, the clock restarts when the refs set the ball and signal they're ready for play.

up until the final 5 minutes (I think) the clock runs when they place the ball after a out of bounds play.

Key stand for the Pats defense. The Steelers had them on the ropes.

I'd be going bonkers if I'm a Steerlers fan right now. If you're willing to kick the ball, why not try to pound it in there 3 times in row? I just think coaches don't think 1 step ahead sometimes.

Exactly. Why did they change from what was working to two runs up the gut and a throw to a double-covered Plaxico? You might as well have handed the Patriots a script.

Very, very big 3rd down coming up. The clock is really going to become a factor, since the Steelers have to score twice. You can't let the Pats move the ball at all.
