Yes, I'm on XBox. If we both pick up copies for each other, we can maybe sell the two extras. You know there have to be some people out there who'd be willing to pay for the game and overnight shipping so they can have it on Wednesday.

Rag - you're saying you pre-ordered and they didn't have a copy or you? That's retarded. The guy said to me you're guaranteed a copy. That is, unless there's some Clinton-esque definition of "guarantee" floating around out there.

Smart guy.. I would have bought the lot of them and then sold them on ebay. Wow...
EF, Funny, but the new feature I am looking for this year is the fictional name generator at the start of a franchise. I'll name my Missouri Tigers and then let the game name the rest of the teams. Heck, I don't know many players outside of my Tigers anyway. I might name a few stars, but the rest I could care less about. |

I'm considering going to CompUSA right now, but if I do, the wife will want to come with me, and she'll just get in the way.

I just woke up, and I thought about going to CompUSa but the online checker says they don't have any stock, and that is reportedly accurate. I guess I'll wait til tomorrow for my trip. I'm looking for Xbox too

Todd, I'm looking forward to that feature as well. I guess I just want to play through one RFTH to see what it is like, and while I don't know that many teams, I know about the players on the top 25 so might as well wait for downloadable dynasties from Fairdale Kings before starting my "real dynasty." Plus decent sliders should be out by then. |

I've decided not to go to CompUSA today. I will be near Sam Goody today, though, so I might just check in there for kicks, but I'm really not hopeful about that one.

madden is a front page interview on gameinformer.. doesn't look good.... Someone else summarized the interview as the following:
Pretty funny as Phil comes off as arrogant in regards to fan complaints about the fact you can't use created players in on-line mode and pretty much admits that they half-assed it on Superstar mode and dropped a ton of shit out like being able to decorate your apartments ala ESPN 2k5 Phil seemed really clueless and admitted that the game was 30% done in December when the ESPN deal was dropped into their laps with no warning from above (which explains why they revamped the "tv graphics" to be a virtual rip-off of the Fox Box even though they're switching to ESPN graphics next year) along with the fact that EA Sports struck a deal with NFL Films to use their background music and soundbites, but he seemed really clueless about how they would integrate those into the game ("I guess in the future we could have actual soundbytes of Ray Lewis talking smack instead of using a generic voice actor"). Basically, Phil's bosses have been plotting the future of the game without his input. If there was a bright spot here, Phil noted that the next-gen games were being designed by a totally seperate team at Tiburon, which probably explains why everything we've seen so far for Madden Next Gen kicks so much ass.

I saw some of the Madden Superstar videos on gameinformer and I'm excited. The only thing that concerned me was when he clicked on "Demand a trade" he was traded right away. Otherwise it looked pretty cool and something fun to do especially since you can import your RFTH guy.

Ugh - I'm starting to read about horrible completion percentages on Heisman skill level. Concerns me, though I only play on AA. If this isn't fixed, I will be so disappointed.

Again this is a post here just as general information about a played game. Code:
Code:
Not sure what to make of these stats. 5 fumbles again. That's just too much. No offense from my side. OU gained momentum and slowly it became them running dowhill. OSU held AP and the OU offense in check the first half but fell apart as the game wore on. I guess this could be relatively realistic. OU is a great all around team and OSU has a great D. Offense IMHO is still somewhat in question. I didn't feel like I had enough time to pass. Plays just don't seem to develop fast enough. By the time your wideout is making his cut your already being dragged down. Of my 11 pass attempts I was sacked 4 times and under heavy pressure 6 times. So that was the first game for today. AA with default sliders. I'm going to go for an OSU vs a midlevel team next...then a cupcake. Not sure if it's Oklahoma's defense as well as the fact that he's just starting with 2006.

dola - and here's another post:
Topic says it all. I'm very disturbed by Tricky's observation (42 dropped passes in 3 games) and I'd like to know if any of you have seen the CPU get 50% or higher pass completion in a game yet. I'm also worried about the the user controlled QB but I plan on playing Coach Mode and, hopefully, I'll find the right settings to get close to 50%, except for Hawaii. I plan on starting a Hawaii dynasty and I'm wondering if I'll be able to get anywhere near 30%... But if the CPU QB is still throwing for 30-40% per game, then obviously EA lied-again.

Hmm.. That is concerning. I know that the CPU pass rush is supposed to be too dominating in Heisman mode and that some felt that pass blocking for the human and break tackle for the CPU would have to be turned down, but that 42 dropped passes in 3 games sounds very bad. I haven't checked utopia in a day or so. Going to go read through the threads now.

Interestingly enough - there's a video made by a guy who got lucky and got the game early. He plays UAB (user) vs. Tennessee - it's about 7 mins long. Though it was basically an extended highlight film I saw no dropped passes, a number of great catches (by both teams) and incredible running by Tennessee's halfback. In fact, the entire Tenness offensive line was just demolishing the UAB front four. The user was able to get off some nice runs as well (the longest about 15 yards) but the holes were just much smaller.
The game looked like a blast and the user got obliterated by Tennessee, 56-14

dola - the third post in that thread from one of the guys who has it says the CPU is throwing for over 50% on Heisman without slider changes. Go figure.

From reading that thread, it looks like the CPU is getting over 50% on Heisman, just that player is having trouble completing passes. However, other people have done well on Heisman. Perhaps that guy just needs to work on his playing abilities before he hits Heisman?
I've also seen the video of a complete game with no dropped passes. I'm still thinking this is going to be the best NCAA yet. |

Btw, for those who want to view the UAB - Miami video, here's the link. It's a healthy download as it's a full 7:30, but it's well worth it.
http://www.ugpcomp.com/downloads/UABvUT_Low.wmv FWIW, I love his kickoff return near the end of the game, where he does a misdirection and just gets nailed at about his own 2

I agree - the spin move that #31 (?) of Tennessee uses on the first touchdown was incredible.

Good to see that you can still complete a 40-yard pass into quadruple coverage for a TDwhile your QB is being tackled.

On Tennessee's late interception return for a touchdown, I love the last block that gets the CB into the endzone. It was CRUSHING.
