My initial thought here is that I would rather have the stuff we are turning up be close together rather than having single squares turned all over the map.
If people agree with that logic then we should be looking at combos that add up to 5-8, since those are adjacent to the one we have opened. But it looks like 8 is the only one of those options available to us. Can someone explain why it seems like a better idea to open single pieces on multiple spots on the board? |

Clap, why is a move to uncover an unconnected square a good move? I just don't understand this logic.

We opened the first square with the thought that most classic games would show the score there. When we realized that didn't work, we moved toward the middle.
At this point, we could combine Clap and Poli and open up B6. Or we could just pick something else toward the middle and assume that our next turn can combine with this one for bigger openings. We are going to need at least next turn to figure this out. |

Poli - Clap, why don't you guys make it official and open an 8-spot adjacent to either already open spot.

Since it looks like I'll be acting alone I've got my choice between F5 and F7. Anyone have strong thoughts one way or the other? If not, I'll post my move this afternoon.

That's no option, we're not allowed to open box without combining with somebody else.

Just as a reminder, you could combine all 3 dice together. Your options are
to combine 2 of the 3 dice together, discarding one die or to combine all 3 dice. |

I would think we want the 9/10 values either above/below the two squares that we have already opened.

I like the idea of the 9/10 above what is already opened. B5 looks especially interesting to me. Adding C5 will give us a good view of that section.
I'll officially request combining with Poli to open B5. I think having MIJB, Clap, and Hoops combine for C5 would be a good idea. I'm open for suggestions on where Butter and Sami should go. None of the 7's look all that exciting to me. Would a 9/9/8 be better than a 9/10/7? |

Do we want to do 10/7 or 8/9 at this point?

I think the 8/9 option, just above the three squares we have already open, sounds like the best bet.

Hmmm, I can do that, Butter_of_69.
Although, I have to admit that I'm a much bigger fan of seeing what's on the rightside or below the open boxes

honestly, I would rather unhide C5, which would require a tenner. But it seems like this challenge could take weeks, so maybe we should just bite the bullet and unveil B4.

In case it wasn't clear, I'm game for combining with Butter of 69 to open B4.

I personally would prefer C4 to B7. But if there is not any discussion on it today then I'll go with the wishes of the group on this and keep the game moving.
MJ4H - conditional order. If there is not conversation on this by 6PM EST tonight then go ahead and process B7. If people do want to talk about the merits of one move vs the other then hold off so we can have some back-and-forth. |

I'm personally fine with C4 as well. I think we are going to need to buy a new turn after this, so we'll probably end up opening more of the middle. I'm just anxious to see something open so we can open some more.

I dunno about you guys, but from the scenery, I'm not really expecting to be able to have an educated guess on this first grid.
If figuring out what the yellow thing that we're looking it is ain't going to help us, I don't think re-buying is worthwile.
