While I still think jackson is better overall, I can't complain that we still got Perry. I think both Jones' are a bit unpolished and in need of a more well rounded game before they'll make a real impact in the NFL.

perry on the other hand, is a known workhorse who can also catch the ball very well and blocks well on top of it all.

This might work out well, we'll have to see.

Great trade for the Titans, they could use some more cheap young labor on their team.

houston's web site must be getting hammered, i can't get in, wanted to see what picks they had left, do they have extra picks in rounds 3 and 4 that they could afford to give up the ones they did?

LOL, Scouts, Inc. analysis (excerpt) of the Buffalo Dallas trade:

The Bills, in our opinion, panicked and gave too much away for a player that won't see the field for at least one year. That's the second time in two years that G.M. Tom Donahoe has drafted a player in the first round (Willis McGahee, 2003) that won't see the field as a rookie. Furthermore, there are a lot of questions about J.P. Losman's leadership and character. We just think that they would have been better served keeping those picks and addressing other needs. They could have drafted a quarterback like Virginia's Matt Schaub in the second round and kept the rest of the picks that they gave to Dallas.

Ouch.

Strange for a team which made the Super Bowl last year to take a player like Gamble who needs experience before he can make a contribution.

Houston can go play golf with Mike Ditka. barring trades, they are done until late in Round 4.

4, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7.

at work, "watching" this all on the web. I've got a bunch of draft pages up, so that I don't have to go back to the main page and accidentally see any hockey.

Corey Webster and Travis Daniels from LSU will both be 1-2 round picks. Both are have good size and can run 4.5s or lower. Not to mention both are taught by Saban, who is probably the best DB coach in college football. Webster may even go before Rolle, he has better measurables than Rolle and had a better season last year. Daniels will probably be a late 1st early second round pick.

Kevin Jones and Roy Williams added to Detroit's offense...they've got to be quite pleased with how this draft has gone.

The Madden kiddies will be playing a lot with Detroit next season - two big WRs with speed, and a fast back.

Two thoughts: Atlanta will regret picking Jenkins before Woods. Clayton and Evans before Woods can be justified, but Atlanta already has a Jenkins in Finneran.

Detroit looks like they will now have two great drafts in a row, will it show on the field THIS year?

being a trucker i don't sleep much (i know this makes you all feel safe). i get about 5 or six hours a day. When i get home on weekends i can get home anywhere from friday night to saturday night. I drive nights, so when i get home in the morning like today i usually stay up all day to spend time with the wife and kid.....so i am kinda used to little sleep.
