Damn Chubby. You've got Lambert and Lott killing people on your defense and Captain Comeback Staubach and the Sweetness Walter Payton running your offense. Not to mention Lombardi coaching everyone. Nice picks.

If someone has AIM, maybe they can send Comey an IM. Worth a shot. Otherwise in a day or so, TLK takes two.

Thanks! I am very happy with my team so far, still trying to make picks that will benefit the team is becoming increasingly hard but still fun!

We could contract pskov and Comey (giving us an even ten) and keeping this thing moving along.... thoughts, ideas?

I'd say to just skip them after the 1st pick that the miss, that way when they come back they can make their picks but we still keep moving along.

Well...I'm back. I've had major computer troubles, and had a lot of repairing to do.

I'll get caught back up and make my pick tonight/tomorrow morning.

I'll select Joe Schmidt, LB. He was one of the first real middle linebackers in the game, and was a very good one at that.

Surprised at how long Raymond Berry lasted, I'm sure he'll appreciate being paired up with Montana.

Hope you didn't get too comfortable Comey, you're up again. Followed by mckerney and Noble Platypus.

Me too. I was going to snag him to pair with Rice if he lasted any further.

I might as well get my second WR.

Randy Moss, WR

He's worth the pick...I'm kind of surprised he's lasted, given he might be the best deep-ball WR in the game's history (I'm not terribly well-versed on WR, outside of the obvious ones).

WR Marvin Harrison.

He will be among the greatest ever when he is finished, and along with Cris Carter and Steve Largent gives Marino a teriffic trio of Wrs to throw to.

Alright, after a bit of agonizing, I have decided. I feel pretty good about my team overall, so I'm going to take a player I feel has slipped a bit and make my offense more difficult to defend. My seleciton is Tony Dorsett, RB. A speedy RB with receiving ability and a willingness to block, and combined with Marion Motley will make a challenging backfield to defend. 5th in all-time rushing yards, 8th or 9th in all-time combined yards from scrimmage, 1st ballot Hall of Famer, one of the better postseason rushers with 1,386 rushing yards.

VPI97 is on the clock, Chubby and WSUCougar to follow.

Sorry guys, I haven't had computer access for the last couple of days. Hopefully I can make my pick this evening. If Bearcat729 wants to pick in the meantime, that's ok with me. I know I won't get to pick until at least about 9 PST tonight.

I'll give Vince a couple more hours, then make my picks.

Since we had the slowdown and delay, some people aren't following as closely, so would anyone be opposed to sending a PM to the next person who drafts? That way people don't just forget. I've done it a few times, and I'll send one to Bearcat after I pick.

I'm going to go current with my next two selections, and select 4-time Pro Bowler (in his first 6 years) and reigning Co-MVP, QB Peyton Manning. The only QB with 5 straight 4000-yard seasons and the only one with 6-straight 25 TD seasons. Then, I'll finish off my defensive backfield with the best one in the game right now, a man who picked off said co-MVP 3 times in the AFC Championship game, a 4-time Pro Bowler who has 35 career INT's and also supports the run well, CB Ty Law.

PM Sent to Bearcat729.

Hm, didn't even think of Randle. Darn.

Vince has been around but apparently hasn't been making his picks. I sent him a pm although he already is aware he's up for his picks. So I'd say WSUCougar should make his choice now unless Vince wishes to step in for two selections, followed by Chubby and VPI97.

Just make sure you draft a great line with him. Moose was a badass but the Cowboys had one of the best offensive lines in history too. I'm a firm believer in building both lines and going from there.

And so I finally start looking for guys, and settle on one...he doesn't seem to be picked by anyone...

And then I realize that bearcat got him only because I allowed him to pick in front of me. My own bad, I guess

1 - CB Darrell Green - Made his debut by running down Tony Dorsett from behind, then went on to play forever. Great cover corner, and will help lock down opposing WRs next to Herb Adderly.

2 - DT Warren Sapp - I really dislike him as a person, but his talent on the field is unquestionable. Plus, I feel that I need another presence next to Merlin Olsen on my defensive line.

Sorry that I fell behind guys...hopefully it won't happen again.
