hah, GE was pouting SO bad when Lance hit that home run, he threw his jacket down and stomped away cursing Carpenter and Larussa. I didn't gloat or anything, just sat there smiling. But when Pujols hit that home run he ran around like a mad man rubbing it in my face and what not... That is why I called him immature. But he needs to realize that we have Oswalt and Clemens up next, and a day and a half to recover, there is nothing to worry about.

That Pujols blast has to shake the Astros' psyche, and it sure as hell boosts the Cardinals' confidence. Going home, Lidge vanquished, a day off to rest and recuperate...we're still in a deep hole, but it's not nearly as grim as it looked.

hmmm, as a cubs fan this is eerily reminescint of 2003. Stadium going nuts, finally going to the world series, etc.. to BOOM... quiet as hell. Oh no biggie, we have Prior and Wood. Yeah, that worked out well. I have this sick feeling in my stomach that StL is going to come back. Cards-White Sox WS, ughh..

Prior and Wood have nothing on Oswalt and Clemens. I was listening the other day to that comparison and some announcer from ESPN shot it down like it should have been. I am not, and will not, be worried until after tonights game. If we lose, and lose badly, then I'll start get antsy. Right now it's in the bag.

You St. Louis fans are awfully cocky for needing to win 2 straight against 2 of the toughest SP in baseball today. I wouldn't exactly mark it down just yet. That Pujols shot is going to mean absolutely dick if the Cards can't win 2 more.

Can fans not have fun anymore? Really, watching the Astros celebrate the double play in game 4 like the series was over was quite exhasperating.. but to have a little fun with eachother on a message board is being cocky? C'mon...

What do you want me to say, "Oh I'm scared of this team, we should hide." We're home, back in a pitchers ballpark, and hopefully have some momentum after the Game 5 win... but who knows, we might get smoked tonight by a pissed off Astros team.

It's all in fun... at least from my point of view.

Sure it's fun, but if it were me there's no way I'd feel comfortable doing any kind of taunting still being down 3-2. Just a thought.

Get some fresh air.

We were taunted when Berkman hit that homerun.

Y'know, this thread is kinda nice in a way. It has reaffirmed my decision to hope the Astros win the NLCS.

Now Mizzou, that double play was amazing. What was even better was right before it was made the Fox announcers were saying there was no way Burnett could turn it, and Walker was going to score to tie the game. The Cardinals would have been just as excited if they would have turned it, and you know it.

For the record, Maybry was safe.

I got pretty excited when Pujos went yard.

I find it hilarious that such a diverse clubhouse could be united by, all of things, Journey. But hey, anything that can bring, say, Ozzie, Carl Everett, Jose Contreras, and AJ together can't be all bad, can it?

Jeebs, read this, it really made me feel better. http://houston.astros.mlb.com/NASApp...news&fext=.jsp

I am tired of hearing all the announcers saying that such a blow will kill the Astros chances.

Yup, Mo is dead on. Like I wrote this morning, this is a tough Astros team that has had to deal with a lot of adversity this season. They've come through with flying colors so far...I see no reason why that should change now. I'm confident about tonight's game, we're not going to come out and lay an egg.

All I've heard on tv is that he's been classy about being benched. Did you hear otherwise?

And yeah, he's been quiet in the postseason...

The one game I did watch, Sunday's game, the announcers were just saying how dissapointed and upset he was, but that he would do what it took to help the team. Nothing really bad, just that he was justifiably pissed
