I'm not sure exactly what happened, but I was kind of following along on the messageboards. It sounded like we pulled the starters and then the 2nd teamers started playing like crap (fumbling, making bad decisions, etc), so Coach put White and Owen back in to run the clock down and he got hurt somehow. Everyone was bitching about the decision to put him back in.

I haven't seen anything on the scout.com board since then, so hopefully he'll be ready to go on Thursday.

It could get interesting for the Big East if Boise State loses tonight, as we could manage to get two teams into the BCS.

A not too unlikely scenario if Cal beats Southern Cal and then Southern Cal beats Notre Dame. If that were to happen, and perhaps it would take another upset or two, the winner of Rutgers-WVU and Louisivlle could both get BCS bids.

Dick Tomey has done a heckuva job getting San Jose State bowl eligible. For a long time they could be counted on for 3 or fewer wins per season. If he can pull off the upset of the Smurfturfers, that'll be a huge win for the program.

And also setting up a HUGE matchup next week when Tomey (former Hawaii coach) comes to visit the Warriors in Aloha stadium.

Arkansas is looking REALLY good, especially on offense. 28-7 late in the first half.

Texas has an efficient march down the field, but run into some problems on 1st and goal at the 2. They get it in on 4th down, but apparently Colt McCoy got a neck stinger on the sneak. We'll have to see if he can shake it off.

After Boise St took the lead, SJS scored a TD, then picked off Zabransky and quickly scored again. 20-12 SJS early in the 4th.

There haven't been any updates on Colt McCoy, but he hasn't been on the field for the last two drives. Jevan Snead doesn't look comfortable at all throwing the ball.

Kansas State goes for a fake punt. Texas is all over it and causes the punter to fumble. First and goal at the 3.

TD Texas, 14-7

Colt McCoy doesn't look like he'll be back this game.

Big punt return for Boise and they start their drive at San Jose's 37.

BSU at the 18 with 30 seconds left, so they should at least have a crack at a game-winning FG.

Jevan Snead won't be able to lead a comeback. He hasn't looked good passing at all tonight.

If Texas loses they'll probably stay ahead of the Badgers.. which would be so sad. They'll use the excuse of "Colt was injured, so we'll give them a break." The Badgers didn't play with Stocco and they still won.

*shrug*

I hate preseason rankings.

Because it's a non-name school beating a name school, I guess.

Boise State should really stop kidding and join the Mountain West. It'd be good for them and it would help us out a ton, especially in football. This whole dominating the WAC thing is getting old.

As I believe they pointed out at the end of the 1st half, FSU was actually FAVORED in this game.

Huge start for Texas in the 2nd half. Hold K State to a three and out, and then block the punt! First and goal!

TD Selvin Young on first down to tie the game.

Colt McCoy for sure won't be back. So it'll be up to Jevan Snead to manage the offense the rest of the game. At the beginning of the season, most people thought he'd be the starter by the Oklahoma game. Time for him to step up.

Nice, two big plays in a row for KSU including a what looked to be a WR Screen, but it was a pass for 30 yards instead. 1st and 10 inside the twenty..

THEN ANOTHER TRICK PLAY! TOUCHDOWN KSU! Wow!
