Yes, I believe that's what they said in the thread - it's a money league. That's what makes it so unbelievable. "He hasn't tried to screw us yet, so I'm fine with him staying in."

Yup, I was in the league for most of their first season. $5 to play, money goes to playoff teams.

Will this be the way that you make up for losing rakeback at Party?

If he's smart, he'll just use a different name....like gmac1 or something and get in another league anyway.

Looks like league security measures will be in order...

he'll need a new IP address, because I, like many others are going to put his IP in the ban list. it's hard to join a league when you're not able to access the site. But there are ways around that, tho hes not smart enough to figure them out.

I read those threads and do not understand all the talk about redoing the entire Free Agency stages.

I thought it was determined that the only thing you could do with this particular cheat was to get a rookie to sign another contract. I saw the Leonard Davis post, but I didn't think that had anything to do with this cheat.

Why would they be talking about wanting to resim their entire Free agency stages?

because by using the rookie signing cheat, he was able to free up money he shouldn't have had, and signed players in FA that (potentially) would have gone to other teams, had he not cheated.

Also he appeared to find the "breaking point" on FA contracts where a guy would take the deal, but not one dollar less.

This is what I think he was referring to when he mentioned that the cheat is widely used in multiplayer leagues.

Hello Football Gods!
I'm enjoying Gmac-gate, it really is interesting.
8pages and going strong over here!
This is my 1st post over here in the Promise Land of Football and No Im not Gmac. I am Gm of the Kansas City Chiefs in Primetime Football. My brother is Clown 1 of the GB packers and I'm Clown2.
If you want to play in a good League come on over to PrimeTime. I hear the Steelers are not available,
but there are other teams that are. Its a little unusual that Gmac-gate puts us on the map,
but the advertising is good.
Were having the draft on Sat morning if you want to get in!
One more thing almost everyone of his multimillion contracts (the salary was league minimum but they all had giant giant bonus dollars)He signed a few like pitts. QB to a 7 year deal...ouch!

ps you guys are funny

The line: Talk to Gmac "Tell us if he's Cocky and Funny" CLASSIC!

So where are all the other "Rookie cheats" Gmac was talking about in his Good Bye post?

Quote:
When I made the move I didn't think I was cheating, I've seen it happen in this league and others, in fact that's how I saw how it was done.

I don't see any in the FFL's transaction log.

It looks like he has been booted from the dfl. THe symapthy is not suprising since the cheat has been identified, and he would have a difficult time continuing this. It would most certainly get him punished. Whether he gets a huge benefit, trying to circumvent the framework that it he should operate is cheating.

I love the "I don't like the way the Rookie Contracts work so I..." line. There are tons of things I get the short end of the stick on too for having a losing record (Staff Hiring, Free Agency), but that doesn't mean it is ok to open in commissioner mode and tailor it to the way I want so I can get the game to do what I want.

First DFL, then DHL, then Fed Ex and UPS...he'll be blackballed from the shipping industry. Lucky for him there's still the USPS.

"Cocky and Funny" is an inside board joke about a guy named Hornsmaniac who claimed to be the board's best Lothario...and was proven to be an on-line multiplayer league cheater when he edited players in the OOTP league he was running.

I hope you guys are carrying on the McGuire brothers tradition of being really really fat and riding around on your motorcycles and dabbling in professional wrestling and being in the Guinness Book of World Record for fattest twins.

I hope.

Over the years, I've become ultra-suspicious of clowns who use way too many exclamation points.

I'm just sayin'.
