We'll make the rivalry worthwhile for sure. And Pass, if you even think you can act like the real life Illinois Athletic Department and refuse to schedule NIU then we'll have some problems.. I say the three D1 schools in the state all set up some sort of routine schedule of playing one every year, switching off.

Mizzou will be scheudling the Illini every year. Only the big boys are allowed to play each other. Go see if North Dakota is available as a rivalry. |

Wow, everyone has their sights set on the Illini!
I get three out of conference games, right? I mean, I don't have any permanent out of conference games? If Ball State, NIU, and Mizzou want them, they can have them. I'll do a home-and-home with Mizzou -- you MAC teams don't expect me to visit you guys, do you? Neuqua, I'm not sure what you mean about switching off -- you mean you want to play Northwestern one season, then Illinois the next? |

I think in my solo career I'm going to give the Pac-10 and Big Ten twelve teams each so they have a conference championship game.
Obviously Notre Dame in the Big Ten but I don't know who to throw into the Pac-10. Probably San Diego State and Fresno State to leave the WAC and MWC with 8 teams each. Pac-10 North: Cal, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, Washington, Washington State. Pac-10 South: Arizona, Arizona State, Fresno State, San Diego State, Southern Cal, UCLA.

Do you need to give them 12 teams to do it? It let me select a championship game for the Big Ten with 11, although I didn't sim all the way to the end of the season. |

edit - not to mention the NCAA doesn't allow a championship game with fewer than 12 teams in a conference IRL.

Basically. To keep the flexibility on the schedules I figured it would work for me to play the Illini one year, Northwestern the next, the Illini the next year, etc. That way we can keep up an instate rivalry and still be able to develop rivalries with others in the league.

I'm not sure if I'll even buy the game, if I will like it when I do, if I have time for a league, or if I'll like the league's running enough to stick around.
Given all that, I'll take a team no one but me seems interested in - Troy. |

Thanks to Huckleberry for his help in keepig track of the claimed teams. The list on the front page is now updated with all teams for all conferences. So far the only full conferences are the Big 10, the Pac 10, and the independents. The two most wide open are the Sun Belt and the WAC. Remember, we are going to use a 16 team playoff, with 11 of the slots automatically going to the conference champions, so you still will have a chance at glory with one of the lower tier conferences.
I'm at home this week, so my plan is to get the website and forum up and running for the league. It's getting close, guys!

Hey, can we wait til after the New Year to start the league? Reason I ask is that as other people have said, it will be nice for bugs to get worked out. Also, people will be away for the holidays, so we can't do much, and also, some people(like me, probably) will be getting the game for Christmas.
This is going to be a lot of fun I can tell. |

Definitely. I did mention before that we aren't going to start the league the day the game is released. Due to the size, I'm going to want to make sure as many of the kinks as possible are worked out so it's smooth sailing once we do kickoff.

This could be very interesting. Running one of several tests I will do with Florida State before the league starts and there isn't a whole lot of talent in the Southeast in this one.
Looks like the best QB is a 3* quality ranked 366 nationally. Only 1 RB above the 3* quality, he is ranked 29th nationally, but the next best is 579. Only 2 WR's in the top 500. Only 1 CB in the top 500, ranked #242 Offensive Line(more than enough to go around) and defense is in alot better shape, but there would be some interesting recruiting battles for the skill position players.
