ummm...I just got the following games from Humble Bundle:
  • XCOM: Enemy Unknown
  • Sid Meier's Pirates!
  • Ace Patrol
  • Civilization III Complete

for $1 total.

Perhaps best game deal ever? What a time to be alive!

I was going to pull the trigger on the $15 one for BE. then I noticed at the last minute it was just a discount on the expansion. uh, I'll pass.

You don't want BE, even at $15.

It's actually the main Civ:BE for $15 and a coupon for 33% off the expansion. I agree that BE is not up to civ standards. If you need a civ itch scratched, you might want to try the community patch. It's much more varied and challenging than the base game. I tried it after seeing quill18 play it on Twitch.

true. but when I thought it was BE plus the expansion and then I'd get digital versions of Civ3 and 4 I was willing to pull the trigger.

Yeah, I got this whole bundle because that's a lot of killer games with days worth of depth for damn near nothing.

humblebundle is also offering "The Long Dark" at 10 (50% off) which is a price at which i am likely going to try it. Was actually looking at another Early Access in the Genre (Stranded Deep), but The Long Dark seems much farther along and much more rewarding (albeit also more difficult, but you seldom get those seperated).
The game will also get a story mode sometime in the spring, which will be free for everybody who has the game already and will drive up the price for those who don´t.

I picked it up too, but I'm more than a little irritated that they've decided to package the games into single activation codes rather than as individuals like they've done in the past. All it really means is that I can pick out what I need out of the bundle without losing a lot of value. As it is now I've spent $15 for BE and a coupon. The rest of lost to me. It would've been nice to pick the DLC's and smaller games out that I didnt' have and give the rest away, like I've done in the past.

Same here, I probably would've handed out the X-Com keys to people on this board.

yeah - wtf - I wonder what would happen if I gift it to myself? Would it show up as separate games?

What would it if I redeem the Civ IV bundle and I already have it in my steam inventory?

I'm pretty sure if you redeem one of those games that you already own, you'll just lose the game.

no doubt they are trying to not lose money so that people can't givbeb the game away.

not realizing that people that would buy the deal now won't because they can't give the game away.

If you want to get a PS4 on the cheap, pre-owned PS4's for $190 after discount code. Note that they don't have controllers, so you will have to buy those separate.

Are we going to get to the point where games cost negative money, like negative interest rates at banks?

Cheers for this - played BBCF for a little bit on my old PC a few years ago, never really got into it but was tempted to try again. Price put me off given lack of traction last time, but this price works!

GOG is running what's essentially a big woot off. Round the clock sales 24/7 until games run out.

Pretty decent humble bundle today unfortunately I have all the games. EHM and
Valkyria Chronicles are in the BTA tier currently at 4 bucks. Also includes a lot of total war games. Company of heroes, and a 66% off coupon for FM16.

That 66% coupon off of FM16 is great! I was able to get FM16 for $22.50 after paying for more than the average for the bundle ($5.50) plus the $17 for the game. That's better than the cheapest ever price on CheapShark ($24.99).

if anybody wants to trade for these games on steam, I can give a pretty massive discount. I just have a huge backlog that I'll never play. I'll trade them for something off my wishlist (for game gifts and mostly likely they are games that require less attention span ).

Add me on steam - same name here or PM me if interested.

Ark: Survival Evolved
GRAV
Alien:Isolation
Masterplan
Tropico 5
Retro City Rampage
The Long Dark
Besiege
RUST
SanctuaryRPG
I am Bread
Hero of the Kingdom II
Valkyrie Chronicles
Crusader Kings II
Europa Universalis IV
Sunless Sea
This War of Mine
Shadowrun Returns
Monaco

and others, I'm just trying to list the most desirable ones.

What do you want for Europa Universalis IV?

How does trading on Steam work? Can I trade a game in my library?

Sale is still going on as of this morning. Unfortunately, the discount on Darkest Dungeon was only 20% off, but did pick up Hand of Fate for 60% off.

Hand of Fate is pretty good. A little bit of button mashing BUT I feel like there is some thought and strategy necessary.

You cannot trade a game in your "library". You can only trade games in your "inventory". Games go to your inventory when you purchase games for yourself as "gift" and you can ultimately "redeem" later when you want to actual play the game.

I'm looking for games that are on my wishlist.

I don't like GOG. I don't love their Galaxy platform and there is no trading or anything. Its just purchase and play. For instance, I foolishly bought NEO Scavenger on GOG bc it had a nice discount but I play ALL of my games on Steam and even though I want to trade NEO (and buy it on steam), it just sits there bc 1, I can't trade it and 2. I don't like their Galaxy platform.

Steam or die.

Isn't Steam set up so you can access games you didn't purchase there?

1. Click on "Add a non-Steam game" from your Library.
2. Find the game's executable file within "C:\GOG Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\u0064" or where ever you installed it. The .exe is named 'witcher3.exe'
3. Then, add the selected program and change the name as you please.
