These debates only serve one purpose which is to show how ridiculous the political state of America is in.

They have nothing to do with either parties policies/values, but rather focus on who can spin the news or lie through their teeth the best.

Ryan may or may not have good ideas, but he is more serious and comes across with more credibility.

There isn't a planet where Paul Ryan is winning this debate unless you decided before it started that he was/is winning.

And I'm not voting for either ticket in November. But Biden's experience is showing here and Ryan is overmatched. Biden needs to stop smiling and laughing at him so much. He's acting smug at times, but..he's being direct and pointed. Ryan is not appealing to the sound bite culture.

I think it's a draw so far. I think Biden is more a love-hate guy with the undecided voters, though.

I agree...what matters is the undecided, and I think he will either win them over, or just completely turn them off. Ryan won't "win" people, but I don't think he "kills" any.

It's the folks in the middle who matter, really. What you just described is par for the course in any election year.

Noticeably different reaction tonight vs Prez debate 1 though. Even the most diehard lefties I saw were taken aback by how thoroughly Romney won the night.

Tonight is more along the lines you described.
