This is as bitter a rivalry as you will find in college Football and always a hard fought, physical game, too bad more people aren't exposed to it.

At least myself and Macro Guru can appreciate it I guess

Damn rights!

I was calling the offense all sorts of names there in the 3rd....But 2 straight seasons with the conference championship, and a win next week sees it as 2 straight undefeated conference seasons. And the scary thing is, we have the potential for an at large if we can get to 18 or lower....

Wow. Unsportsmanlike penalty on the end of the previous 2 pt try means UT starts at the Kentucky 40.

And a 40 yd TD pass makes it irrelevant !!!

More bizarre shit in Atlanta. GT punts deep, fair catch attempt is missed when the ball hits another UGA player, rolls back into the end zone, big scrum ... and after long replay conference turns into a simple touchback.

Georgia hits a bomb to Sean Bailey (son of former Falcon Stacey Bailey), they're first & goal around the five, trying to expand on a 16-14 lead late in the 3rd qtr.

WOW. that was a helmet to helmet hit.. nearly completely defenseless QB (bad slide), he's lucky if all he has is a small concussion. and no flag (ND-Stanford)

Nice touch by Brad Nessler to go over to the UGA booth & get legendary Larry Munson some TV time.

For those outside the area, Munson's 42 year career is winding down, he only did home games this season until today (just 70 miles apart). I get the strong feeling that this is going to be his last season, seems like everybody else in the broadcast community feels the same way (JP sports did something similar last time they had a Georgia game).

I forget exactly what the college rule is, but it didn't look like an intentional helmet-to-helmet. The sequence was, defender lowers his head, quarterback slides. If the quarterback doesn't slide, its a clean hit right on the body.

Long run by Thomas Brown puts Georgia back up by two scores (with a 2 pt conversion) 31-17 with about 11 mins left.

Pretty typical UGA-GT game really, close for a while & then they pull away.

That would be cool, but even at 10-2 unlikely. The real scary thing is we have 10 starters back on offense next season

With some big OOC wins next year we could make a run at a BCS bowl!

Tech drives but turns it over on downs with 6:43 left. Another Bennett airball brings back memories of Reggie.

And the thing that scares me most is that I'm not sure that Gailey & Nix haven't fucked up Nesbitt by trying to turn him into a full-time runner that takes snaps, his passing doesn't look good at all.

Sheesh, I was watching, too! And, yeah, this officiating crew sucks balls. They also gave us an INT when it bounced earlier in the game.

Glad the game wasn't a little closer in the long run or that call could have been critical.

And the game in Atlanta just drags on & on. Defensive holding by Georgia follows a GT ejection (leg whip) so 2nd & 10 becomes 2nd & 25 becomes 1st & 10 ... and an airmailed Bennett pass becomes 2nd & 10. Some things just don't change. And a sack makes it 3rd & long again.

Meanwhile, just on the edge of the screen, while Bennett is still on the turf, one of his OL (the guy who got beat for the sack) appeared to be calmly putting his shoe on 7 yards behind the play. The lack of concern for the QB was rather obvious.

So 3rd-stringer Booker comes in & produces a dropped pass and a stumble to the ground on 4th down.
That gives it back to Georgia just under 3 minutes left, hopefully they can manage a couple of first downs without scoring again & this one can end peacefully.

Oklahoma pounds Oklahoma State into the ground (317 yards rushing) and Bradford sets the NCAA freshman record for touchdown passes (34). Sooners win 49-17.

It is for this area, where most people watching couldn't care less about Georgia/Georgia Tech. They have the ability to switch games based on region, it doesn't make sense to switch a West Virginia game this important, regardless of the score, in this area.

And they switched it in the middle of the 3rd quarter. Not the closing minutes.

So, yeah, it was stupid.

Yep. Too many things would have to happen for them to get to the NC, but thanks to UCLA beating Oregon today, USC goes to the Rose Bowl if they win next week, which I'm feeling very good about. The team is as healthy as it has been all year. They should destroy UCLA.

The switch really didn't make sense considering Georgia - Georgia Tech was being shown on ESPN2 in areas that had WVU - UConn on ABC. Once they made the switch, you had 2 channels of Georgia for no good reason.

Thankfully after a few minutes they unblocked the WVU game on Gameplan, so I only missed a little.

Apparently Mizzou is playing with Madden sliders on where you don't do anything but go for it on 4th down. This time it worked, tho 7-0 MU

Depends- how far do they fall if they lose? If they lose and Mizzou beats OU next week, they'd likely go to the BCS title game. KU would likely be the #2 team in the Big XII and probably wouldn't fall out of the top 18 so they'd be in the pool.
