Chokeland is about to start the season 0-2.

In other surprising news: Lance Bass is gay.

It sounded like the whistle blew simultaneously with the snap.

As funny as that was, it's crap.

The Raiders are great entertainment. They're like the bully from A Christmas Story; you just can't help but root against them.

Also, thanks to everyone who's kicking us when we're down. It's not like the Raiders are a 16-0 team going 0-2 to start this year to root against em.

So true. They've struggled badly against the Bills and Raiders, and neither team is truly good enough to be in this league.

You won that superbowl in the 80s, hang on to that. Plus you guys had Mervyn Fernandez.

Man, I can't imagine how it feels. Again, I really feel bad for the Raiders, their coaches, and their fans. Losing to a rival is bad enough, but to lose like that... jeez.

With that said, Mike Shanahan is now the official master of the ninja timeout. That was hilarious.

Well said. I do feel bad for Raiders Army and other Raiders' fans on here, but that was hilarious. As far as whether the officials got it right, I just went back to it on the DVR and it sounds to me like the whistle blew barely before the snap, but it was very close.

It's funny. Every team has an identity. Some teams start off and dominate pathetic competition. Others struggle and get lucky against it.

A few years ago the Patriots fans were pissed at me (and they continue to be pissed at me to this day) that my impression of the team was that they would get dominated by good teams and catch a few breaks and win it in the end. That's a good team, but it's also a lucky break.

The Broncos are a team that is catching a bunch of lucky breaks. Losman misses a wide open Evans for a TD. McCown misses Porter for one. Fat Bastard misses a FG. We kick one. We could easily be 0-2. That's the bad side. The good side is that we've outgained the opposition 911-437. It's not like we've struggled to move the ball or struggled to stop teams. The biggest problems are the offenses inability to score TD's inside the 10 and Jason Elam's inability to hit anything beyond 40 yards.

The sad thing is what I hate to watch. The thing that drives me crazier than anything else is watching a team I cheer for dominate on the field but not on the scoreboard. That looks exactly like the identity this Broncos team is taking and it sucks.

As for the Raiders. . . I saw something from them I haven't seen in a long time. Guts. They played hard on both sides of the ball. They earned their breaks and deserved the game. Props to them. All jokes aside, that was a hell of an effort.

Listening to the news conference for Chokeland, I feel really bad for Kiffen (sp?). The poor guy is set up for failure and I think he's just now realizing it.

As for the fans, the team, and Al Davis ...thanks for crushing me when I was 7 and moving to LA, you deserve what you get.

"Football Night in America" is just about the worst highlight show I've ever seen. I get more detailed highlights on the 11:00 news. The show is 75 minutes long, and they speed through the highlights so we can get seven minutes of Cris Collinsworth masturbating to his own voice.

Good grief.

Agreed - I miss PrimeTime.

Is there anywhere else people are getting highlights/recaps later at night on Sunday?

Thanks. They're really trying. Congrats on the win. I gotta tell you, I didn't the think Denver D was going to be that great, but they looked really good today and they shut down Lee Evans last week.

I know it's not going to happen, but I would love to see Beck as Miami starting QB next week. We have nothing to lose, or he plays well and learns to play in the NFL, or he plays like crap and we get a top draft pick (and he keeps getting experience anyway), as anyway it's not that we are going to do anything with Green, our crap Oline, our crap Dline and our crap secondary.

Bellichick is an arrogant jerk who never thought the league would call him on it.

Still, Bettis and Mcnabb calling for super bowl rings makes me ill.

Hey, Thanks NBC! Think the Pats are gonna try to video enhance that at halftime?

*shakes head*

(If you missed it, they showed a wristband being worn by the Chargers DC, with the numbers and what plays they mean)

The newest spin heard by a local radio guy today.

"Bill really is a genius, and he was concerned all this annointing of the Patriots and placing them in the Bowl was becoming a distraction. So he did this blatantly knowing the league had just sent out the memo so that he would get in trouble and take the attention away from his team."

I mean really can we go ahead and proclaim that he invented the internet and cured herpes too?
