MVP thoughts? I assume Peyton is the frontrunner, though I would also consider Joseph Addai and Bob Sanders legit candidates.

Brian Griese already has a Super Bowl ring. He should stay on the bench. The Bears need someone who isn't going to just go through the motions. The Bears need somebody who has the desire for his first Super Bowl ring. The Bears need a fresh face.

I should clarify. Addai is my choice right now, but I think Peyton is the front-runner in the vote. WHen there is no super clear-cut guy, it generally goes to the QB of the winning team.

You have to give Rhodes some consideration. He ran wild on the Bears.

Just boot it out of the endzone. The Bears can't move the ball and there is no reason to even kick it near Hester.

Barring something like "Indy defense" for MVP, I'd have to think it's either Manning or Addai ... but personally I think Dominic Rhodes was probably just about as important as anybody all day.

I agree, but Addai has also run well and has 10 catches for 60+ yards. He's really had a hell of an all-around game.

Addai has played well, but I think it is going to be Peyton. If Sanders had another pick, I would think he would get it.

Thomas Jones apparently doesn't know how to handle a hurry-up offense. He doesn't go out of bounds, and then after he gets tackled, he rolls the ball 10 yards up the field so the officials have to go chase it.

gg man

Then it's a good thing the Bears offense is also playing like it's over.

My 2 reasons the Bears lost:

1. They have Rex Grossman at QB
2. Their defensive game plan was horrendous

I think their defensive game plan was ok. They held the Colts offense to 22 points, which could be enough to beat them.

I think that is a bit of an abberation. Sure they kept them out of the endzone, but they could never get off of the field on 3rd down and the Colts ran up the middle ALL game.

Exactly. Defensive plan was absolutely miserable.

Benson going out of the game early didn't help the Bear offense. That made them rely on Rex more.

Defensive gameplanning was OK I guess. Would have liked to see more blitzing. There is only one reason the Bears lost this game though. At this point I wouldn't even want Grossman to be my teams backup.

Defensive gameplanning was fine. They had a chance to win it down only 22-17 until Rex made that horrendous throw.

When you're sitting back and allowing Manning to complete 10-15 yard passes all freakin' day, your gameplan sucks.

I have never in my life had a job where, if I was as overwhelmed by my duties as Grossman was today, I would not have been fired on the spot.

So when Orton comes in on this next drive, I hope that they just turn it into a game of Madden. Just throw the ball deep every single play. This will be fantastic.
