That's a damn close call...looks like his foot was down right when the ball got to him.

Wow. I think that's a bad replay call there. But it was close. Cowboys up 3. 1:51 left.

Pats about ready to put the Steelers away.

Announcers got one thing right. Between penalties, injuries and red zone blunders it's amazing they are even ahead.

This game reminds of the season opener in 2002 where the Pats passing game couldn't be stopped. Without the 2 red zone turnovers it would be over by now.

Great game by both New England lines. They have controlled the line of scrimmage which usually will tell you what team will win.

Nguyen ended up with the pick.

Sigh, I guess it's too much to hope that this team might have been 2-1. What a horrible game to lose, and to do it to the Cowpies.

Really, the same case could be made about the Steelers. Their QB is rattled and can't hit the side of a barn, they've blown multiple chances for points (including a made field goal taken away on a penalty and a one yard situation where they didn't go for it, and the idiotic decision to pitch the ball back) They've completed like 5 passes in the second half and their D has been on the field forever and a day.

Both teams have blown plenty of chances and the losing team will regret those missed chances. The Patriots DLine has been the dominant force in this game in the second half along with Tom Brady playing like himself again. No injuries there and that's why they are winning this game.

Ouch, what a horrible offensive penalty. 2nd and 1 and you lose ten yards. That's just a ridiculous penalty there. Don't hold, if he gets two, you still have a first, if he gets drilled at the line, it's only 3rd and 1. That was horrible.

Then El blows another play.

And Phil Simms loses his F'n mind. He dropped that ball on the 20 Phil, it'd have been 3rd and 3, not 3rd and 11, that was freakin huge.

Give me a f***ing break.

If he was two feet away he has a 50-50 chance.

Phil, why the hell would you blitz here? Your DLine has been dominant. Let the front four do their job and you'll get pressure. Keep the extra man in coverage.

Any type of blitz, while it may work, would increase the odds of the Steelers converting by 10x.

Unbelievable. What were the Patriots thinking there? Just an incredibly stupid call.

Now the Pats have about 1 minutes and 0 Timouts to get into FG range.

I'll give him a 50/50 shot from 1 foot before that last drive. I would have gladly went against him on anything over a foot and won myself some cash.

I guess a true SLO game would have had the Niners get that TD at the end, only to have someone return the kick for a TD for the 'boys with no time left on the clock.

They'll probably blitz through Kazcur and Brady won't get enough time to throw down field.

Anyone who reads TMQB can be prepared for at least 5 paragraphs on that Patriot blitz there.

That was the strangest play call I've seen coach Bill make in years.

Great field position. Steelers D better make a play here.

Brady doesn't usually lose in this situation.

The Pat's D-line is going to be what wins games for the Pats this year. It' nice to see Beisel stepping it up as well.

Good game New England... you played better and deserved to win. The Steelers need to figure out how to run the ball against that defensive line.

No, the Steelers were just fine in rushing four. Their problem was being absolute idiots and not covering the backs out of the backfield. There was ZERO excuse for them to allow themselves to get beat by two passes in the flat to running backs who proceeded to run for 15 yards AND get out of bounds. Just horrific defense by the LB core there. You have to expect better than that.

If they would have blitzed, Brady still would have looked for those backs out of the backfield. Considering they couldn't cover them with 7, what's the odds they'd have been able to cover them with 6 or 5?

We should've won by 2 1/2 touchdowns

First of all, two Red Zone Turnovers. VERY unlike the Patriots. Usually if they get close, they are money.

(Warning, warning Pats Fanboy speaking) Second of all, bush league pass interference call. Apparently the defensive player doesn't have a right to the ball if the offensive player puts his hand out behind him to prevent it. At worst, both players doing it, and most places that doesn't get called against the home team.

By now, you think they would come up with a way to stop Brady on the final drive.
