Well, if you'll extend that to "... lead this offense", then you won't get an argument from me.

Then again, I don't think a Frankenstein creation of Unitas/Elway/Montana gets this team any farther than Vick did.

(And I don't believe you've ever seen me argue that Vick's throwing ability was going to get him anywhere anyway.)

The Steelers have really buckled down on defense. This may be a game yet.

Definitely. I'm not too worried about the Steeler's defense. I just hope the offense can keep up. The Steelers really need to run the ball better.

Actually I have stayed away from the Vick discussions, especially the Vick...HoF thread, have not even been into that one. So I have no idea really were certian guys stand on Vick and his talent.

To the Pats-Steelers game, just not looking good here for the Steelers now. These games are not exactly what was expected so far eh?

The Patriots continue to keep opponents on their heels. Last week, they dinked and dunked and pounded away, proving to bee too physical for the Colts D, on balance. This week, they shift gears, and take their shots downfield as their bread and butter.

Say what you want about these Pats (and I'm not claiming the game is over) but they do more things well than possibly any team I have ever seen.

I agree with Quiksand, but I think this game is over.

I still think the Eagles will make it competitive, and I think it is insane for people to be overly confident that the Patriots are going to beat the Eagles in the Superbowl.

I agree. *IF* the field conditions are bad, the Falcons will lose. If the field conditions are good, they are going to have to hope for the usual Eagles collapse.

Eagles should still be favored in this game regardless of weather.

As for the AFC, I'm wondering if Rothlesberger is about to implode....

At the end of the day?

Philadelphia and New England in the Super Bowl.

Damn, you got your shit together, brother! Nice job.

One just does not bet on rookie QBs in the playoffs. I think "playoffs experience" is almost as mythical as "clutch hitting" but I think that's a key to the Pats success.

Does that make Brady a god or something. He has playoff experience and he is clutch.

What happens to Cowher if the Steelers lose? This would be another AFC Championship game loss and another one at home no less.

He's still a better coach than the majority in the NFL.

If the Steelers can't even hang with the Pats, how can the Eagles be expected to? I doubt I'll even watch the SB at this point as I really believe that nobody in the NFL can stop New England. They're just too good.

Nothing. He cries in the bathroom alone, and then probably signs a contract extension.

He's got a rookie QB and the Pats are clearly the better team. What can you do?

If not winning in the Championship Game at home, twice is the baseline for firing head coaches, then I guess everybody in the league should be fired.

My guess: He's gonna be around for a few more years.

Well Dutch, FWIW I believe this would be his 4th AOC Championship game loss at home.

Tough decision. If he's genuinely hurt, I sit him down. Otherwise I think I stick with him for the future of the franchise.

Well, the Steelers defense keeps hope alive for now. Gotta hope for a crap punt and good field position.

I'm sorry, but that have to get Bettis out of this game. The Pats are jamming the interior run extremely well. Ithink they need to spread things out.

The guy had a personal foul. That cannot be reversed because of a dead ball situation.

I just can't see the Steelers scoring 3 more touchdowns without the Pats scoring at all.
