i just want to say, as i eat my lunch, that i feel very foolish for allowing myself to fall for the bait and got myself worked up in a tizzy. i don't apologize for anything i wrote, because what i wrote is a good snapshot as to how i felt in that point in time, i don't want to undermine the feelings of Hell Atlantic from 2 hours ago. but, yeah, i'm trying to show a different side to my personality and not be a cartoon or cariacature of the Hell Atlantic everyone thinks i am, and responding like that doesn't help things. i'm normally good at knowing when i'm being provoked.

what i wanted to do was nip things in the bud. if you let (blatantly false and malicious) accusations like that go uncontested, pretty soon myth becomes fact. then months from now when i find my trustworthiness being questioned, someone would eventually say "well, there *were* some things called into question about his days in IHOF...". i wanted to eradicate some silly doubts cast by some unscrupulous members here before they got seeped into people's minds. but i'm disappointed in allowing myself to get worked up - these are merely words, after all, and it's over an online MP league.

so, again, i don't apologize for what i said, but i feel bad if anyone got offended and i feel foolish for allowing myself to get worked up. carry on.

The funny thing is that I never accused you of cheating. I said you did your best to bend the rules. I never said you broke them. Go back and re-read my exact quote. It's phrased very carefully for a reason.

Have a nice day.

But you never give any inkling of even what that was.

I have never had any problems of even bad impressions of you, while I have had plenty of HA, but I've got to say - you are coming off like more of a prick than HA here.

Pause to let that sink in.

I'm in IHOF, and I was never aware of any implication of him treading near the boundary of fair play. Good taste and decorum, perhaps, but not fair play.

I think you are obligated to provide something to back up your accusations here (or not, I suppose, and tacitly admit you were merely trolling).

Aboslutely, yes. Logging on as the commish or another team for any reason whatsoever should be prohibited in my view.

Doing what you suggest is definitely cheating. You gain an advantage by seeing what the player looks like up close (on the team) and through the eyes of another team's scout.

he'll never admit that. he'll simply go with his "i never ACTUALLY said that and you can't prove that was the implication so I'm right" defense.

Exactly, that is why as a Participant, you press the "PARTICIPANT" button, and as a Commissioner, you press the "COMMISSIONER" button. Its like an elevator, 2 options, up or down. If you want to go up, press up, not down.

I expect a similar defense in the "homophobic troll" thread. It does seem to be Blackie's M.O.

Can you go over that again? There seems to be a lot of gray area there.

Well, I bet I am not alone in thinking that a lack of response is an admission that the accusation was baseless, and it was a troll post.

Apparently that needs to be added into the instructions, so that people don't go all "willy nilly" on which option to pick when in an MP league.

There's also the buttons for opening and closing the door...you know, it's amazing that the average person can operate an elevator considering how stupid most people are...

I just run full speed at the metallic doors. I end up knocking myself out, and I awaken hours later already late for where I was going so I go back home. Damn elevators, I never get them to work.

However, given that Skydog has already given the order to go back to our respective corners, you'd probably be better served by not trying to bait me.

are you just going to repeat the same thing in each thread?

you are the one that caused this whole situation by being a bigot and a troll. you should be boxed immediately as far as I'm concerned to stop this whole nonsense.

I see your whole mission now is to simply try and divert attention from yourself.

Back to the original issue, VPI wrote some code to identify and deal with this cheat. I think it is classic!!!

Code:
If IsTrue(rookie signing) then If (transaction_text = "signed his rookie contract") then Result = cool_beans elseIf (transaction_text = "signed a renegotiated contract") Owner_status = "BANNED" else Unexpected_result = WTF EndIf EndIf

Since we've just past the 10th anniversary of the OJ Simpson verdict, reading that thread immediately brought to mind the intelligent juror (Brenda Moron) who commented about the evidence of domestic abuse presented at the trial: "Domestic abuse, to me that was a waste of time. This was a murder trial, not domestic abuse. If you want to get tried for domestic abuse, go in another court room and get tried for that."

I get confused - is this a league that's playing for some actual money?

I can't imagine letting this guy stay in a league like that.
