I'll have my pick when I get home today (around 6:30pm or so). A bit busy at work and I need to think a bit on my selection.

I never really intended to select this position in the draft, but I do feel I need a defender and I feel like I can get solid people in other positions later in the draft. I'm surprised so many other linebackers have been taken, but not one who was truely one of the first modern-type middle linebackers who can do it all: stop the run, cover the pass (30 career INT's), rush the passer, and best of all his intelligence in diagnosing plays, which would be a highly valued asset at any time in history, especially with today's complicated offenses. He was a 5-time Pro Bowler, a 3-time all-NFLer, and he is Sam Huff, LB Last edited by JAG : 02-03-2004 at 05:32 PM. Reason: Forgot to add pskov is now on the clock |

It's been a bit over 48 hrs and pskov hasn't logged on since the 1st (has anyone heard from him?) Should we "Minnesota Vikings" pskov to keep this draft moving or give him some more time? If we keep going, VPI97 is on the clock.

Ok, with only a few spots where I don't have guys, it's time to solidify those areas...I've got Unitas, but no one for him to throw to. So, I'll get the best guy left...
WR Elroy "Crazy Legs" Hirsch WSUCougar is on the clock, Chubby's on deck, and VPI is in the hole.

WSUCougar is out of town, I think for the week. He left me stuff for the actor draft, but not for this one. Should we viking him and he gets to pick as soon as he gets back? At this rate, we probably won't get more than 6 picks or so. Also, should we start looking for an addition to pskov's team to pick until he gets back?
EDIT - I also sent WSU a PM to let him know to pick as soon as he gets back. Last edited by BishopMVP : 02-10-2004 at 12:41 PM. |

I thought yes, I just figured we'd wait for WSUCougar to come back since I feel weird doing this down two people. Since pskov hasn't been in since Feb. 1 and no one's heard from him, should we find a substitute?
If so, someone who's reading this make yourself known. Especially if you like pskov's team so far. |

I guess we're waiting for WSUCougar, which is fine by me. Someone needs to do something about pskov's situation. I hope everything is alright, and that he just lost his internet connection for a week, but we should find someone to help pick for his team until he gets back. So the first person to post accepting the position is pskov's Assistant Personnel Director. If no one posts by the time WSUCougar picks, I'll put up a Ping about it, since most people not involved probably aren't reading this anymore.

Sorry for the delay, guys.
I'll add another cinder-block to my offensive front wall. This guy paved the way for The Juice like a white Ford Bronco, as part of The Electric Company: Joe DeLamielleure (G) Chubby is on the clock, with VPI on deck and the missing pskov in the hole.

I'll leapfrog pskov as no one has a clue when he'll be back.
I looked back at the list and am shocked at how few defensive ends have been selected (4 full-time ends including one by myself, and one part-time DE), although granted some people are setting up 3-4 teams. I'm going to select Willie Davis, DE as a bookend partner to Reggie White to make QB's even more miserable playing against us. A few career highlights and miscellaneous info: -Never missed a game in 12 years spanning 162 games. -Recovered 21 fumbles, at the time second all-time, and still is a Packer record. -All NFL selection 5 times in 6 years. -Played in 5 consecutive Pro Bowls. -Great intelligence and leadership...and had an MBA to prove it. Noble Platypus is up, followed by mckerney and Comey. |

Bringing my team somewhat into the current day, I'll take Derrick Brooks, LB.
Speed and power at the outside linebacker position, with a knack for getting his hands on the ball and taking it in the endzone, he's been the corner stone for the Buccaneers defense over the last several years. Last edited by mckerney : 02-17-2004 at 10:47 PM. |
