This is one of those situations where you really have no idea what the officials are even looking for. It's such an ambiguous rule.

According to the rules, it's a good reversal, doesn't mean the rule isn't an ass, but *shrugs*

at least a chargers TD will hopefully fix the field-position issue the pats have been having with SD having all short fields and us all long-fields

I think they decided they did not want to use both challenges so early.

The best chance for the Patriots is to make sure it's a close game going into the 4th Q. There's no way the San Diego coaching staff won't screw up the game, given the opportunity.

Torn between who to root for. Do I want to go to SD and get chewed up by LT, or play the PATs at home. Indy hasnt lost at home this year but I am afraid of the ghosts of playoffs past.

I'm having the same problems...

Not helped by the fact that I REALLY like LT... easily my favorite player outside of the Colts or Redskins.

Why is it that all teams kneel down at the end of the half? What's the worst that can happen if you throw it at the end zone?

How could you want any AFC championship game other than SD v. Indy? Marty v. Peyton. The resistable force v. the movable object. It will be a battle for the ages. Someone must win.

The other team runs it in for a TD? (see the Bears returning a last second FG attempt for a TD a couple of times)

Yep... unless the ground reaches up and swallows both of them to prevent the world from coming to an end.

Both of those were field goals, which every team will attempt given the chance. It just seems to me there are better odds of getting a PI penalty, or something else good happening. Even if the pass is picked off, the odds against the other team bringing it back are astronomical. I don't think I've ever seen a hail mary pass returned for a td.

The Seahawks tried it in the early game. Hasselbeck got sacked though.

I can't see why you wouldn't try to throw it up there. I don't thinke the defense would even try to intercept it, they would rather just knock it to the ground.

That's certainly true, and Brady has certainly been better than Rivers.
