1. I'm not telling you to shut up, just informing you that you're wasting your time. For example, when I send Jim an e-mail about an issue with an FOF game, I do so in the expectation that the e-mail has the potential to affect change. If it didn't, I wouldn't waste my time doing so, and I'd appreciate it if he would tell me that--as in with the TCY "Vision" issues. While I didn't agree with him, I appreciated him valuing our time enough to let us know that certain things were not going to change.

2. I take into account many, many opinions that don't go over 100% with mine, just not yours. Most recently, less than a half hour, ago Quik posted something in the multiplayer cheating thread that caused me to change my opinion.

Yes, QuikSand is all that is great. No doubt. But we're not talking about games here, and if he suggested something about your moderation his thoughts too would fall on deaf ears.

But why would I stop speaking out? I've got that hope that maybe, just maybe, one day that you will consider why I think what I think and understand that banning people carelessly is not the *best* way to run FOF.

Over and over I do it again, and how does this really solve anything? All I am left with is false satisfaction that I am making a small impact, but I am not. So I will have to keep trying.

I am fine with you SkyDog on many levels, but part of me feels like it would be different if I was 35 and not just a 'kid'.

I am 34 Shorty, and I am pretty sure my opinion of SkyDog's moderation also means nothing to him, if that makes you feel any better. I feel confident that by the time you are this age, you will have also lost your idealism, become bitter and jaded like most our age, and not really give a shit, as long as the careless bannings did not raise your property taxes.

OK, that was a bad example. Perhaps a better one is that someone (I don't remember who, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't an "elite" member like Quik) suggested that locking threads, rather than deleting them, was a better way to go overall. I have taken that input, and now I VERY VERY VERY rarely delete a thread. Not true at all. Other than my wife, probably the person who recently has given me the most decision-altering input in the past few years is only 18, and anyone who knows me well will tell you that has been the case since this person was 16. Further, if any 35-year-old acted with the carpet-bombing-disagree-every-time-he-suspends-someone attitude that you do, he'd get a harsher response from me. Trust me when i say that you, and the other younger members get more leniency from me because of your ages.
