No, the data only covered his previous coaching stints. Ya know, FULL years worth of data, not one game against a QB who has epileptic fits in the middle of the field five times a game.

This is actually a pretty good test for old Norv. San Diego has more talent on it than any team in football. There really isn't even a close second. (sorry Pats fans) You have a solid QB, best RB in football, best TE in football, solid offensive line, Best DT's in all of football, one of the top LB's in all of football, great special teams. All Norv has to do is make sure he doesn't screw it up.

My money? He finds a way to screw it up. He's always done it before. He's had multiple chances. This isn't like Beli having one bad stint. He's sucked everywhere he's went. He'll find a way to suck again and he'll turn a 14 win team into a 10-11 win team. They'll still go out in the same round as last year. (unless they have to play in the wild card round, in which case it'll be a round earlier) But he'll do like he's done everywhere else and the team will be worse with him than without him.

I odn't really care if I'm wrong on this one. I'm a Broncos fan, but I have nothing against the Chargers at all. I love LT and Gates. (Merriman, not so much) It's a nice city that deserves to win a championship and a fan base that'll care more about it than other places. If the Broncos can't pull it off, I'm good with SD.

But I still think Norv will screw it up. There is a lot of data that indicates he isn't a good coach and not any that indicates he is. (OK, he outcoached Grossman) All we can do is see. FWIW, I think they'll beat the Pats next week. I don't think their fall will come until later in the season.

Crap, my lead's narrowed to 77-65. Thanks for doing jack shit, Mr. Branch.

I have Larry Fitzgerald tomorrow, Jeremy Shockey tonight.

He's got Romo and Owens tonight, Vernon Davis tomorrow night.

So yeah, I'm nervous I'm going to start off the fantasy season with a loss.

HAHAHAHA, I will enjoy it while it lasts. Packers September schedule is rough with no offense. At Giants next, home against Chargers, at Vikings.

You'll beat the Giants. Don't think you'll beat the Chargers. You'll have a good shot at the Vikings. I think you have a pretty good shot at 3-1. 2-2 at the worst.

Have you had a bad experience with them personally? Because I can think of a TON of more annoying fanbases. In fact, I've never had a problem with them.

Just so this isn't forgot, I hope everyone says a prayer for Everett of the Bills. Jauron is refusing to say anything about his condition, which sounds like a horrible sign to me. I really hope he's OK.

Yes, but for once in my lifetime the Lions did not roll over and play dead because they were playing on either the west or east coast. That is tremedous progress, like hearing a toddler's first complete sentence!

I was in the other room grabbing dinner, but I'm 95% sure that I just heard that he is in emergency surgery for a spinal injury.

Opening kickoff of the second half. He flew down the field and hit the Broncos return man right on the 20. As soon as he made contact, his body went limp and he hit the deck, out cold. Unlike a lot of times where you see the guy give a thumbs up or a fist pump, there was no movement from him at all. He went off the field in the ambulance, straight to the hospital.

It looked horrible when it happened and it sounds like things aren't real good. What a horribly sad way to open the year.

I made the same mistake you did benching Kitna. Probably wouldn't have mattered anyway as my opponent had Tom Brady and Randy Moss starting. I have to make up 70 points with Eli, Gore, Nedney, and Witten.

Just got home from the Jets game.

No offensive line, no pass rush. It's really that simple.

D'Brikashaw Ferguson isn't looking like a Top-4 draft pick, and the rest of our line (besides Mangold, who I love) are completely below average. Thomas Jones has no chance to run the ball behind this line, and the fact the Pennington had a decent game surprises the hell out of me. He had about .5 seconds to throw the damn ball. Ugh.

Defensive line, awful. Linebackers, bad, secondary, okay except Barrett shouldn't even be playing in the NFL right now. Revis is looking pretty good, Rhodes is good, but our lack of a pass rush is asolutely making me sick. Tom Brady had minutes to throw.

I mean, the Patriots are the best damn team in the league. I'm not surprised by a loss, but I expected it to be a little closer, and I expected our defense to be much, much better. It's only one game, and things can turn around. But this game puts a bad taste in my mouth.

Just announced on the NBC pregame show that he is undergoing emergency spinal surgery. Not good.

Obviously, I'm not a Dallas fan, but I think it is because Jerry Jones is calling the shots which makes me very happy.
