And would also be far and away the most common reason for it too, I'd think.

Hell, even the Vatican a week or so ago announced that religion and evolution aren't incompatible.

Just curious if they specified what parts of religion and evolution are compatible or did they just give a blanket statement? Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of people think that evolution has to do with how life began, which is wrong. Evolution is what has happened after life began. Abiogenesis is the study of how life began. A gross over simplification on both evolution and abiogenesis on my part...

Well, the Vatican did more than just claim it was compatible, they took the credit for it: (all this is from http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/news...istianity.html) Quote:
The most interesting part of the article was this: Quote:
So, basically, a big "sorry guys" to the creationists who want to keep evolution out of schools.

On reading it again, that last quote isn't neccessarily from the "Vatican". The article merely states: Quote:

Militant atheists? Did I miss some atheists breaking into a school board meeting and holding everyone hostage till they only taught evolution?

"Militant" is an exaggeration, but I do get what they mean.

Thanks for the break down and the link! Love the big fish eat smaller fish line. Good thing there were no piranhas where he was at. I highly doubt it will throw a monkey wrench in the plans of the Discovery Institute and their Wedge doctrine though.

Someone should make a action movie showing legalized gay marriage actually destroying civilization. It would need a huge budget for all the special effects; car crashes, flames, toppling skyscrapers, the works. Liberals could have a nice chuckle at the wry sarcasm. And conservatives could be like PLEASE TELL EVERYONE IN YOUR CONGREGATION TO SEE THIS IMPORTANT FILM. Everyone's happy. The movie should be called "Gay Chaos" or "Ghaos" or "Ghaos: road to Armageddon".

HAHA! That would be awesome. Kinda like the uproar when the DaVinci Code came out.

Staring Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort in "Hey, that's no banana, that's my dad". For those who don't get the banana reference... YouTube - The Banana God
