Best comedy hour on TV? I'll say yes. 30 Rock is great but doesn't have a lead-in that I like. I also enjoy Scrubs, but I'll DQ that as it's back-to-back Scrubs episodes on ABC this year. I don't watch many comedies but Monday nights on CBS are good for two shows for me

I'd argue that 30 Rock's lead is the best show on TV (and undoubtedly the best comedy) .

Sorry, we DVR it and it's often a day or two until we get to it. Solid episode all around, thoroughly enjoyed it.

CBS-Monday is all on my DVR and watched same-night.
Office isn't even on my DVR...and honestly I couldn't tell you when it was on during the week. Is it in that Thursday night pre-ER timeslot? I think I'm usually watching DVR'd episodes of Gordon Ramsey's "F Word" on BBC America or something then. |

Well, like I previously stated, I consider "The Office" to be undoubtably the best comedy on TV, and after Battlestar Galactica ends its run, the best show on TV.

I usualy love Barney episodes, but this one just didn't do it for me. Some good one liners, especialy when Barney made the comment about child actors, but overall just meh.

did it maybe fall a little flat because it was a little predictable? I mean as soon as you found out they were "actors" that Barney hired you knew that the thing would blow up because the mom would find Ted+"the wife" kissing. Might also have been how in that part right after that (with the slaps and the overacting, which was pretty funny IMO) they kept cutting back to Ted's discussion with "the wife" about the rules of acting, which IMO sort of disrupted the flow of the scene a bit...? |

Laura Prepon as a blonde does not work for me. I used to think she was pretty hot, but now I really do not find her attractive at all.

Dola... since Big Bang gets lumped into this thread...
I really think Sheldon is one of the best characters on TV right now. |

BBT was hilarious tonight. I spent like the whole time laughing. And you're right - Sheldon is a great character, and the actor playing him does such a great job with the character. |

My lord, I think this was the greatest episode of How I Met Your Mother I've ever seen (and I've seen all of them)! Soooo hilarious.
And NO, Big Bang shouldn't get lumped in here... find a new thread!

+1000000 Prepon as a redhead was spectacular. Now... no. I loved the episode, loved that they broke up Ted and Prepon and presumably got her off the show quickly, loved the pajama suit, and the nightgown, just awesome. |

This was indeed a good one. Not my favorite ever, but the pajama suit was sweet, along with the sleeping cravat. And I like storylines like Lily's where they go back and slightly revise things from previous episodes. Well done.
Barney asking if a wife helps you hook up with other chicks was perfect too. |

I would love to see some online content showing Robin's episode. HIMYM does stuff like that all the time and it seems like a pretty easy one to put together.

Did you all know that there is a Barney Stinson blog on CBS' website, it appears to get updated after many of the shows with blog style info from the most recent episode:
Barney's Blog - How I Met Your Mother It appears to have started last year after st patrick's day, with a collection of limericks: Quote:
Oh yes. Also, caveman drawings proving that The Naked Man has been in use for thousands of years. I spent a good bit of time reading through this last night and today |

Great episode tonight, both the barney/ted/robin line and the Marshall one for a change. |

This episode was perfect. I watched it while lying miserably on my couch still recovering from drinking way too much Sunday night in celebration of my 30th birthday.

Maybe i missed it in here, but I had no idea they had a book out! Today at Barnes and Nobles I found Barney Stinson's book entitled "The Bro Code." So far it has been totally legendary!!

The Bro code is indeed legen-wait for it-dary.
Article 69 - Duh. I'm amazed at how the show handled Cobie Smulders' (Robin) and Alyson Hannigan's (Lily) pregnancies. Crafty camera work indeed.

very crafty camera work. i think the most that you could say was "oh the girls started wearing more peasant blousy type tops" - but really if you didn't know i don't think that'd lead you straight to pregnant

I didn't realize that Smulders was pregnant. I had heard Hannigan was.

Are we ever going to find out about what the goat did at Ted's birthday? It seems like the last birthday episode was about a year ago.

Yeah, now that I know, I notice it. And they don't bother completely hiding it, there are definitly flashes of the belly throughout the episode.
