Most People that have their heart set for a long time now in buying the game will.
Anything negative or bugs notice so far about the game will not change the people opinions in getting the game. They will overlook it and still preorder it and buy it. |

I am guilty of that with EA Head Coach. What a mistake in buying that game. |

Besides that blog (which I find painful to read, personally), is there any evidence that the full game only has one camera angle? OK, I get that the demo is over a gig, but it only has two teams and 1-minute quarters and probably a fraction of the full commentary. Are we really to believe that they're going to put all the camera angles in the demo, too? I'm not questioning whether they should put all the cameras in, but I don't understand the surprise. What? Do people want practice mode and half a season of dynasty mode in the demo, too? Or the entire ACC and SEC so we can run the demo with Wake Forest and Vanderbilt?
Maybe I'm giving EA too much of a break, but I feel like the demo gave me enough to evaluate the graphics, controls, and the playbooks. Sure, I'd love to be able to play longer or have more options, but it's not a bad deal for free. Now, if it turns out that the full game has only one camera angle, well, call me a puddle of goo, I guess.

The demo def. didn't have full commentary, and didn't even do an end of game wrap up commentary if you notice. So, hopefully there's more than 1 angle. If not, I prob. won't buy the game because I simply find that angle too awkward and limiting |

Over at OS guys have the retail 360 version already and have confirmed there is only one camera angle.

This may be a stupid question, but are they confirming that it is the same angle as the demo? I haven't even tried the demo yet, but I've read people moaning about the angle in the demo. I'm going to try the demo for myself tonight. |

They said it's the same angle in the demo, just without any choppiness.
I like the camera angle myself, and I'm glad that when you check receivers and it pans out, it zooms back in afterwards. |

Seems that you can't see named rosters online from what they're saying. Not a big deal to me, but people are saying they won't buy the game because of it.

Only 4 more days My wife told me yesterday that my father-in-law is coming to visit for an evening either Monday or Tuesday night. I reminded her that she promised me Tuesday night was all NCAA time, and she called him and told him to definitely come on Monday Haven't had much time to read the impressions on the various forums from work, but I actually like what I'm reading overall.

Overall simmed stats look really good - the majority of passers had a 50-55% completion percentage. I also heard some guy played a game and his high on pancakes was 3. Looks like that bug from last year is no longer there...

Sacks are a little low too for those simmed stats. The leader last season had 20, with 4 players having more than 12.

Is there any improvement in the XBOX game or is it the same with updated "rosters"? Because it seems like people are only talking about XBOX360...

No. I can't believe it at all. I've got a stack of reviews waiting to write now that I've finally got internet access. I've got the OOTP testing that I'm trying to work on. I have a trip to Seattle Sunday-Thursday coming up, I'm still settling into my new home, I have a blog entry I MUST write this weekend, and I'm busy reading a 7 page thread about a game which has given me nothing but fits the last four years. I'm not so sure I am a grown man come to think of it. |

I'll just use Rutgers as an example since I have the XBox 360 ratings for them in front of me. 80 - ITO, Jeremy - K/P - #1 89 - RADIGAN, Joe - P - #30 Radigan stinks, Ito is great. At best they got the ratings backwards. 71 - MEEKINS, Ramel - DL - #60 Meekins had 9.5 sacks last year and 15.5 TFL. Just because he started off as a walk-on, I think he deserves a little better rating than this. 77 - GREENE, Courtney - DB - #36 79 - RICE, Raymell - RB - #27 Greene had a great freshman year, and Rice was very good. 89 - BECKFORD, William - DE - #35 Ridiculous.

Ok. I played parts of a few games, then some mini-games. I'll give you quick likes and dislikes.
Like: Running game Running game animations (example: RB almost down, gets low, fights through a tackle, keeps going) You can make moves after catching the ball, even if the DB is on you (instead of the almost automatic tackle it used to be) Seeing a WR jump in the air to reach back for a ball, while maintaining his forward momentum Stadiums when camera is not moving Mini-games Dislike: Weird skips in framerates (esp. when Kicking off and punting, or transferring from playcall to field) Stadiums when camera is moving Shoulder pads slope down weird. Dont look right. Some of the WR's look like bobble hear dolls on the cut screens One camera angle. No alternate jerseys Overall, I think I'll like it (though I do think the game is only like 90% done). I think the gameplay is improved, and I haven't noticed the dropped pass problem from recent years. Seems like there are more picks if you try and force a ball in. |

They've screwed up the #'s on a lot of teams it looks like. A lot of teams have Offensive players with the same # as a D player. Well, I guess the 360 framework doesnt allow that, because you wont see those players anymore. In real life, Ucla has a QB and LB as #12. In the game, the QB is now #15 |

My limited thoughts from 3 games of the demo (although the 1 minute quarters make it hard to get a good game flow):
- I really like the running game. - The CPU passed over 50% both games on me despite my picking the better team. They really worked the short passes. - Long passes seem much harder to complete for both sides. - I blocked a FG! I didn't even use the jump the snap. - I think I'll like the kicking game once I get used to it. - On my TV, the games looks great and I like the one camera angle they give us. I think it is well suited to a wide screen TV. Cons: I've already seen two fumbled kickoff returns. I hope this isn't too common. The pass rush might be a bit too fast on default. However, perhaps I just need to slide my protection better which is hard to do with the short quarters. Anyway, the demo has me even more excited for Tuesday.

Is there automatic catch if you do precision pass up (high) to your TE?
Last year version you can do that all day long and they will never stop it. |

My TE was getting shut down by the MLB on the precision passing (including high.)
I forgot to mention that I've had 2 pass interference calls in 4 games now (2 in the first 3) of 1 minute quarters. Also, I love the way blocking looks. It looks much better to me than previous versions. RB's blocking guys low, offensive linemen directing guys instead of just putting them on their back (which is probably why Pancakes in played games are fixed.) The interaction looks much better, and passing over the middle for short and intermediate passes is definitely viable. I just finally won a demo game 7-0 as I went 9 of 12 passing for 74 yards and a TD. |

I have no idea if this is common or if it's already been discussed, but my demo freezes up almost every time I play it. I downloaded a different demo a while ago and it froze the two times I tried it. Is this a problem with the 360's or do I have a bad system?

Some more impressions:
Weird stuff: Say Team A kicks off to Team B. Team A kicks the ball out of bounds (penalty). The Team B players jump around and celebrate. Weird. The replays shown in the right corner while picking a play look GREAT I'm getting used to the camera angle, but it's not my favorite. I think this was a time move, because in the "Option Dash" mini-game, the cam starts way back, and the game doesnt suffer. PI is called very easily (i.e. if you bump a received off his route while the ball is in the air, and vice-versa (Offensive PI). Haven't noticed any super speed LB's chasing down RBs from behind, but it's tougher to break a long one it seems. Maybe I'm just not used to the new Ds. More D options. It's kind of overwhelming with all of the screen layovers, but the options are nice. |
