If they are still open I'd like the Southern Miss Golden Eagles!!

If they are taken, what about UL-Lafayette.

a) larrymcg isn't a noob
b) he writes good dynasties

And like I mentioned before, I hope that once the season is under way, the only way you can change teams is within the game. It's a disservice to the previous team if you were just giving 65% while waiting for your team to open up.

and it's also a disservice to people who would really want a certain team to be denied that team just cuz the league started and then the person who claimed that team drops out.

if my alma mater isn't in the game then i at least want a good team, no sense in me taking over a team i have no allegiance to and have it being a shitty team. it'd be different if i actually went to one of the 119 teams in the game, shitty or not.

NYC isn't exactly a hotbed for Div 1A schools, or else i'd pick any ole shitty NYC team.

Just a note as more teams are being claimed - The following 3 posters are listed as alternates for a team but do not have their own team as of now:

DOLA: It would be a serious accomplishment if we could fill this up. And not just to the community, but to Arlie for making a game that had the hype to have us interested so far in advance, then delivering on one hell of a game when we all got our hands on the demo.

I feel the same way, I'd love to have ASU, but alas they are taken so, Il claimed USF in the Florida hot bed and see if I can compete with FSU, Fla, Miami and out recruit them and bring USF up as the #1 school in Florida. I always wondered if it could really happen.

Actually I figured that C-USA would be more fun if they had all human opponents. Tulsa was my first choice, since it is in state, but you beat me to it Cuckoo.

dola: I don't know how much work this would be for cartman, but what if you turned off hirings/firings, and implemented some sort of dice rolling to the affair. For instance, the AD of each school could have some ratings ala CM. Like Patience, Ability to generate a profit, School expectations, GPA. Maybe have a few ratings hidden, like patience. Those ratings could be used in a formula to determine if a coach get's his contract renewed or not.

Yeah, I figured it'd be more fun than jumping in the Big 12 with a lesser team. What are there, three CUSA teams left open? I don't know a couple of the guys that picked CUSA teams, but I know Doug from NAFL. He was quite the gameplanner in our league, so he'll probably be tough.

Should be a good time, and I'll have to get some non-conference games with duckman and sooners.

I was going to take UL-Lafayette, but when I saw Jeeber and GE already both in the CUSA I had to jump in so I could beat up on them From the looks of it the CUSA has a nice little group of coaches, some I'm familiar with and some I dont know. Also since I did go to Southern Miss for 1 year I can claim to be somewhat of a fan.

My goal with the team is to do a lot like Southern Miss in real life and have a very talented D with a strong running game

I'm looking forward more to this league than any other one that I've ever been in. My goals with Ball State is going to be to just be able to beat NIU every couple of years or so, and schedule a powderpuff like Illinois every year.
