I was in one of the epic battles Abe mentioned, I believe (or if it wasn't one of them, well, then it was a heck of a fight, and three others must have been amazing). Not sure if I was the one who was to die.

In any case, after using both of my healing spells and my healing potion, I managed to defeat an Evil Artificer who had just a whole lot of magic items and spells. chesapeake/ntndeacon (more on that in a sec) got to watch the whole thing.

The experience got me up a level, to Level Four now (yippee).

I also have three unidentified wands. Earlier, Pass offered to give me free id'ing for trading him a magic studded leather armor for my magical warhammer, so I hope that's still cool.

I think the source of what's going on with me is also responsible somehow for me seeing ntndeacon as chesapeake. Seems pretty clear from other perspectives that it's ntndeacon I am with. But for some reason, I see chesapeake.

Yes, I am still not normal. But if I start off with a disagreement and write a long post, I can mitigate the results and get real info out. Night before last, I was only posting madly to get it out there that something might be up with. Or might not. Actually, nothing's wrong with me. Well, I'm not really saying.

I need to go pick a new spell.

Since Abe reconsidered, I'll pass it along. I should warn you I was told I do not know if it has a trap on it or not (I do still have gloves of manual dexterity available for trade, increases a scout's level to disarm, pick, or set traps by two, /salesman), I only know that it's locked. We also have to work out a price for your service since it's going to take at least an action to unlock it, maybe another to disarm it if there's a trap.

I'm not sure which is which, but here are the other two:

Manual of Weapon Expertise -- Disappears after being read once. It lets you learn how to use all exotic weapons. Only Paladins or Warriors can read it. Worth 200 gold. This is probably the book.

Protection from Magic -- This is a combat protection, that protects you from all damage dealt by magic. Worth 150 gold. This is probably the scroll.

The gloves are valued at 250gp, but since that's kind of a lot, how about I just give them to you on loan for now and if you find something cool for clerics (magic flail / warhammer, or whatever), you can send it my way also or if I need gp in the future for something cool I may hit you up for some.

Wow, looks like this will be a month long adventure then for someone to be able to have a chance at hitting level 10.

I was just thinking about that. It just seems too early to move up since I am just lvl 4 out of 10. I might consider it if I can get to 5 first (I have to be close at this point, I would think).

Methinks, that as time passes, those who don't proceed further in will get wasted by the dungeon in some way...I better suck it up and consider moving into the darker sets soon.
