Lost a duel to Foob, the first duel I've lost in a while. He has a dueling level five above his regular level.

If anyone is planning on finishing the hotel in El Dolado, please post here so we don't put too much work into this. Since it is going to the top level, we don't want to waste any points that we don't have to. If nobody has started the final construction by the time I get up tomorrow, I'll put the finishing touches on it.

I am putting 2 hours in right now, which should finish it up.

I would appreciate an inviation to Troutville to do a little shopping later this afternoon.

I just skipped level 28 entirely and went right to level 29 after doing the east-west quest. That is a nice xp reward!

I am working on this quest in world 7. I saved up enough money to buy a quarter horse before starting the trip. I'm hoping this will cut the trip to a reasonable time. 3.5 hours to get from the middle to the east point. I'm assuming about 7 to get from east to west. This is going to chew up the whole day...

Not that im aware of. The closest indicator I can think of is the Item Distrubution list on weststats.com, you can vaguely get an idea of an items rarity based on how many people have them.

8.5 hours to go from east to west with the quarter horse. I didn't have the patience to go with the donkey so I kept doing the beaver hunt until I got enough money for the top horse. I think I'm glad I went that route.

I'm still 21 LP from Beaver Hunt, 15 from Building Bridges, and 31 from Constructing Railroad Station.

Leveling this character right now is a slooooow grind.

dola - anyone here use Chrome while playing and recently upgraded to the newest version (2.0.172.28)? The map movement doesn't work (meaning I can't move while selecting a spot on the map) Real pain in the ass, and apparently I am not the only one ( Google chrome and map movement - Forum The West) - but a few have also responded saying they have no issues. Anyone else experiencing this?

Just updated to 2.0.172.28 and yes, it does not work for me either. Seems like its treating the map screen as text and wont scroll around.

Please feel free to redecorate the head of "Killer Camo" from Rock Ridge (Lvl 29 / Duel Lvl 35). Beat me by a nice 259-0 earlier.

Ding on lvl 29 and my son hit 19 earlier

leveling is a bit slow for both.....and I am torn on how to get him to build his character...he is over 50 shooting but has 8 or 9 points to distribute...debating continuing to add to the shooting or if should go reflex/vigor/appearance/tactics...

not reallly any job advantages to more shooting other than dueling and not sure how effective he would be right now....not seeing a lot of similar level duelers near by

Dunno about the time zone exactly, somewhere in Europe I think but the current game time is in the bottom right hand corner, in tiny typeface just below the buttons for forum, help, tutorial, log out.

I'll take a shot at him tonight (can't access the game from work). I've got two levels on him as far as Dueling level goes...we'll see what happens.

Consider me the resident vendetta-man...I'll be happy to go shoot up anybody that we feel needs shooting, so long as they're a reasonable distance away and so long as they won't kick my ass.

Killer Camo hit me as well, but my cash was banked.

Since I was gone for the day yesterday, I had my guy walk to the East and West to complete the quest. Little did I realize, you had to accept the quest once you got to the East or West. Of course, I wasn't around to see that, and my guy walked to and fro, and now he has to do it once more.

At least he's getting his exercise. I did leave town as well, because of the amount of money you can get for completing this quest, and I didn't want to get hit by someone while I wasn't around.

PilotMan is up to level 24 and 29 as a dueler. I need to build up a little bit more cash so I can build my inventory, and the precise muzzle loader is within my grasp. Does anyone know where I can pick up a precise slingshot?

PM - these are the three closest places to find it:

Western Star (due west of El Dolado, next block over)
Dirty Deeds (middle of the block to the east of the FOFC block)
Hotel California (middle of the block to the north of the FOFC block)

Just wondering, are there any higher level duelers around here that would be willing to join my town, at least for a little while?

The problem is that recently a new town named El Toro Luchador has started up. They proclaim themselves to be a town of 'Elite Fighters', thing is that these 'elite fighters' seem to be nothing more than a bunch of bullies attacking workers and adventurers. They've hit my town several times and are annoying me somewhat.

I've tried to work things out with them, but they seem to just ignore it.

One of our allies has been trying to hit back for us (and themselves and their other allies) but I'd like to have somebody in Kevonia (my town) to beat off the pests.
