Tech answers with a long drive of their own, 7-7... and the teams are sent to the locker room because of lightning in the area. Game delayed.

Oh, Stanford. That might be the worst half of football I've ever seen.

A concussion is a concussion, imo...the Florida athletic department knows full well what Tebow is doing AND risking. I have nothing but respect for Tebow WANTING to play, but as the recent study on concussions showed, this is simply not a good idea. Then again, everything in life is a risk of some sort, some are simply more comfortable taking them. Any doc worth his or her salt WOULD NOT have signed off on this move, imo, unless they were blinded by something like $ or winning. 'Tis a shame, imo...don't get me wrong, Florida is just one of many schools that have their priorities completely screwed up. This is also one of the aspects of the game that drives former NFL/college players to keep their children away from the game of football, because it breeds this type of mentality.

EDIT: Sorry for the mini-rant, these types of things always rub me the wrong way. Time to focus on the game!

Colorado is going toe to toe w/ Texas and leading them 14-3 w/ about 2:00 left in the first. Both teams look pretty solid -- I'm expecting Texas to break it open, but Colorado is sticking around so far.

McCoy to Shipley for a 39-yard TD. Colorado over Texas, 14-10.

What do you expect from Gators? Winning is number #1 for them...

Of course it is, but some things should take priority over "winning", imo...and I understand this is asking way too much of a football coach. I respect Tebow's desire to play, but the Florida doctors and Urban Meyer have dropped the ball in this situation.

Since I haven't seen Tebow's medical reports nor his test results, I'll take a pass on judging this one.

+1. Every concussion is different and people recover from them at different rates.

We know he had a serious concussion, that is textbook, imo...one that kept him from allegedly forming words and certain sounds the following day. I understand that the tough-guy mentality will always reign supreme in football, but the NFL released a study a few days ago that should have opened more than a few eyes regarding concussions. I believe it takes the brain at least 30 days to recover from a mild concussion, and if one fails to heal properly, the results can be devastating to the individual.

Again, don't get me wrong, I don't mean to pick on Florida, but these types of actions and Urban Meyer(who obviously has more pull than the compromised team doctors) saying "if he is cleared, he will play", quite simply, sicken me...

FWIW, I've heard he can walk on water, and those reports are as close to being confirmed as the UT concussion rumor

Man these refs must have lasers along the line of scrimmage to call all these really close offsides on LSU. No way we can win if our DEs have to line up 3 feet away from the line of scrimmage just to be absolutely sure they aren't offsides.

WOOT! A spot during the game about the Salt Lick BBQ, then right after it Texas blocks a punt and recovers for a TD.

Coincidence? I think not. The Salt Lick is a magical place.

That INT is devastating for Colorado. Texas dodged a huge bullet on that exchange.

For the rest of the year. No point in burning the redshirt on the other guy for the second year in a row.

Looks like Michigan is only going into the half down 6. Considering how many horrible mental mistakes and turnovers they have had, I'll take it.

Well, Michigan goes into a soft zone and now Iowa is going to have a chance to go up 9 going into the break. Terrible.

Well, Iowa gets a delay of game to make the 48 yarder a 53 yarder. If Murphy hits this, kudos.

At least once a season, the OC of Texas, Greg Davis, just seems to call a horrible game. Tonight is one of those nights. He seems to want to stick to the inside runs and shovel passes that don't go anywhere, yet when they have gone downfield, they have had great success. Luckily the defense and special teams have bailed them out so far tonight.

Stupid decision to pull the shirt. He has conceded they lost the game and now he will ruin his young QB.
