Interesting, clearly the right call but I wonder why you can challenge that penalty. Are there other penalties that are objective that you can challenge?

That's exactly what I just said to my wife. Most penalties are judgement calls, can you review those? Immediately came to mind was a guy being forced out on punt coverage--illegal procedure if he fails to make an attempt to enter the field of play. Can I ask for a review if I think my guy made an honest effort?

Referees also can use replay to assess penalties for 12 men on the field, the illegal touching of a pass, the illegal touching of a kick and passing the ball after crossing the line of scrimmage.

12 men on the field isn't a judgment call, just like the others that Fozzie posted. Either there are 12 on at the snap or there aren't.

It should be reviewable and I'm glad it is.

As it turns out it just cost the Giants time. They got the ball around 20 yards further upfield after the Pats didn't convert on 4th down.

Anyone have any idea why the Pats didnt attempt the 49 yard FG instead of going for a 4th and 13?

Because their kicker already shanked a kickoff out of bounds?

I have always considered Gostkowski (sp?) pretty good. But Fozzie seems to think there's a lack of confidence there.

Be happy it isn't Chris Gardocki...or we'd hear every time that he hasn't had a punt blocked in 1,250,235,979 attempts

They just don't seem to be able to keep it together. I'm not sure what it is. I'm sure a lot of people will be saying it's the team on the other side of the field, but I think this really is a case of the pressure getting to them.

maybe, but it seems like they have way too much experience to let the pressure get to them.

If NE had been able to get a FG at the end of the half, I'd be looking at $400. As it is, $100.

Our payout is:

$100 for 1st and 3rd Qtrs
$200 for Half
$500 for Final
$100 for Reverse Final

But I am happy with my $100 I guess. All year I had like 8 and 6 and other assorted bullshit. My 0-3 are finally some realistic numbers.
