The entire west coast just swore not to watch the superbowl, saying "Fuck That. We have to deal with a New England team and a New York team for six months during baseball. No way should we have to go through with it for football too."

Upon further evaluation, Tynes will be retained and get a corner office as VP of global platform evaluation. Phone and fax access will be provided until he finds another job.

Also, another player yet to be named will be the kicker next year.

Woohoo!!! That was a fun, yet crazy last 10 minutes or so. Ok, so Favre didn't throw 5 INTs but he played liked he did. Glad we don't have hear about him or the Packers in the next 2 weeks. Congrats Giants.

The Giants played a great game, especially on defense holding Grant to 29 yards rushing when he had over 200 last week. The Packers still had chance after chance, 2 missed field goals and a fumble that 2 packers had a chance to recover. But the offense just couldn't get it going, there was no answer for Burress, and you have to hand it to Eli who went another game without a turnover. Coughlin was left for dead and now he's led his team to the Superbowl. Congratulations to him and the Giants.

pretty much. Like I said earlier...we know that not many people give the giants much of a chance, but what this will essentially boil down to is "who makes the better adjustments given what was learned in week 18" and in that case, my money is on the Pats.

Plus add in that the weather will be MUCH better so Brady ought to be able to air it out instead of having to depend on grinding it out, and it just seems...like...there's not really much more to be said.

This is going to be a fun 2 weeks. I am putting the over/under of times a player talks about how their team has been direspected all year at 4,000.

Big congrats to the Giants and their fans, and congrats to Lathum (who is the guy I know for sure is a Giants fan here).

The Giants earned that victory and deserve it, no doubt about it. Mostly I think they were just more mentally tough throughout the whole game. Your defense played great. One last thing, I admit part of me is a little happy for Eli after all the crap he has taken over his short career.

Tough loss. Pretty damn good year. I think the knot in my stomach is finally going away and that's a positive I am trying to be upbeat about.

I think no matter what happens in the Superbowl, Eli has earned at least one full season of people shutting the fuck up.

Well, I guess you could say that. The game is in a dome so I would say weather is just a non-factor.

Hate Farve on this board? In comparison to Eli Manning? No way.

Eli has played MUCH better than Rex did last postseason. It's not even close.

Eli is 3 for 3 in playing solid games this post season. Plaxico may have had a ton of yards in this game, but many of them were really good passes thrown in very small openings.

You know, I wondered about that. Just never liked the way he had played recklessly all these years and gets to be called the greatest. Sort of like a Nolan Ryan, I think. Many games that I have seen Favre played, it looked like he thought he could force a ball in. Sometimes he gets away with it, other times not. Give me a QB who is less reckless, plays smarter and is able to see the defensive coverage.

FOM, don't be super-depressed, that's not healthy. It really is a game, no one's well-being should be dependent on a game.

I think there are very few people who consider Favre to be the greatest of all time. (Although I actually do think he deserves the honor.)

Just wanted to add, good luck Giants. As I thought you did in this game (while wishing it wouldn't happen), I think you have a chance against the Pats, and hope to see you pull it off.

Giants had a good gameplan and the Packers just looked lost on offense and defense. It was like reliving that second Bears game where nothing seemed to get going offensively.

Any rate, welcome to all the NE and NY fans out west. Hope you guys enjoy the sun and the game is completitive. I really don't dislike or like either team, so I'm not sure how much I will enjoy the SB. That said, I'll still watch it for a bit.

Patriots will win in an all out bore-fest, by at least 3 TD's.
Giant secondary will get sliced and diced by Brady, Eli will throw 3 or more INT's.

There could be 1 thing that could hurt the Pats though, and that is the big bruiser Brandon Jacobs. I see TC gameplanning alot of Jacobs, with a little Bradshaw thrown in.

Even with that TC gameplan, Pats will still prevail by my above prediction.

So let me get this straight... Eli now has as many career playoff wins in his first four years as it took Peyton to get in his first eight, arguably surround by worse talent.

Worse offensive talent for sure, but a much better defense and a much better coach, and against competition that wasn't nearly as tough.
