But it is his homecoming game. He has to go out with a TD in the Super Bowl.

If Cowher was smart he would play-action.

That side judge should make up his mind BEFORE Ben moves the ball.

What an absolutely HORRIBLE call. My God, what a joke. The ref should lose his job on the spot. That wasn't that close.

These refs this postseason have been awful. WTF, made him change his mind. Does he know that once you are down you can't move the ball forward.

I think it is a touchdown, although I admit I'm biased. It looks like the tip of the ball breaks the plane of the chalk.

If that makes anyone feel better, most of the crew are in their first SB. Of course this makes no sense because of the rest of the playoffs, but hey its the NFL, its FANTASTIC (ripped from the sports guy about the NBA)

Only in the modern era of football do they give touchdowns away so easily.

Just terrible. There is no way that ball broke the plane and they can't even get it right after watching the replay. Simply unbelievable.

What a terrible call.

That call is not a big deal, in my mind. It was close enough that it could have gone either way, and I think Cowher goes for it on 4th and 1 inch, and there's probably a 75 chance they make it. Not a big deal even if it's a wrong call, which I don't know for sure that it is.

He had it cradled in his arm, and it looks like the front of the ball just BARELY hit the front of the goalline before his elbow got hit.

edit: not the goalline itself ... the line extended upward

The problem is that the LJ was originally going to spot it at the 1 and after Ben moved the ball into the endzone he gave him a TD.

That's true. But I can't blame them for not overturning it because the video is inconclusive.
