What are you talking about? Kordell Stewart was kicking but his 2nd year.

Ity wasn't untill later in his Career, when the Steelers Coaching Staff decided to make him the typical pocket passer that his troubles began. Early on when he was just winging it he was playing lights out.

Well at least it sounds like Matt Light isn't to bad off. Harrison is screwed though.

Which is exactly why I'd think NE fans would respect his ability to win at such a young age. But hey, do whatever makes you feel good.

What the hell is this "right leg injury" garbage. Both Matt Light and Rodney Harrison have "leg injuries" Harrison is out and Light is questionable.

How dumb do they think we are? They were on carts after knee injuries. There is NO question here. They aren't coming back today and they may not be coming back this year.

I have to say that when new England got to the Super Bowl I cheered them on. I always enjoy seeing a downtrodden team make good. I wasn't thrilled when they got back there 2 years later and suddenly new Enlgand fans *I was living outside Boston at the time* suddenly believed they were the greatest gift god gave the NFL. Its at this point that I got sick of the Patriots, the bandwagon, and the throng of "we're the best ever" screaming fans.

Why can't fans of quality teams have some humility after being utter LOSERS for their first 40 years of existance? Yes, they were a great team, yes they have/had the best overall coaching staff in the NFL.

Don't get pissed off when people yawn at the very mention of the pariots these days. Most people are tired of hearing it. We know it already, go enjoy your game, and try to act civil when they start going down the tubes because it will happen and no amount of grandstanding and stat crunching is going to stop it.

There are 31 other teams just as worthy of excitement, well ok maybe not the bears.....but still.

No. Kordell didn't become a starter until his third year. IN that year he did lead the Steelers to the championship game, but unlike Ben, he sucked in doing it. He completed about 53% of his passes. He averaged well under 7 yards per pass attempt. (unlike Ben who hit on 66% and averaged 9 yards per pass attempt last year)

He ran for a couple hundred more yards than did Ben, but he could never pass the ball. By the following season, Kordell was already in full regression mode, dropping to under 6 yards per pass attempt (which is truly aweful) and becoming what he is, a decent backup option, but a poor starter.

Agreed...and what the hell are the announcers doing saying that was a great stand by the defense at the 1 yard line? They had to stop one stinking play. Ugh...

Could be a critical false start penalty that cost the Steelers 3 points and gave NE good field position.

Talent wise, there is no reason the Patriots shouldn't be lighting up teams this year, more so than last year. Weis is missed.

Cowboys force a three and out to start the second half. They have the ball with great field position now.

There just isn't any doubt about this. But I'm going to be looking for the same thing I've looked for the last two weeks. I want to see what second half adjustments the Patriots make. They've been moving the ball ok, just haven't had the big play or the TD's yet.

I'll be very interested to see them in the second half. The first two weeks, the offense has been far worse after halftime than before it. To back that up:

Tom Brady this year:

First half: 23-39 (59%), 368 yards, 9.44 yards per pass attempt, QB rating of 104.4

Second half: 24-43 (56%), 208 yards, 4.84 yards per pass attempt, 68.7 QB rating.

Uh oh. Hopefully San Francisco didn't-as Lute Olsen once said in a post-game interview-blow their wad too early.

Sorry dude, been talking with some people online and a few of them just won't shut up about the patriots and then I started reading this and you were whining about the announcers. Just flipped a switch.

No worries, you're entitled to whine about the patriots as they fall from grace.

That looked like a block in the back by Chad Scott on that punt return before Dwight caught the ball.

Wow, the crowd really does seem to be 50/50 in San Fran. I was just walking back into the room and hearing a huge cheer, assumed San Fran had just done something good. Nope, it was the Cowboys intercepting a Rattay pass.

Right here is where you'd see the last couple of years Pats teams break your heart if you were the opponent. You have a 3 point lead, you have them pinned, a stop you get the ball back with a chance to put them away.

What happens here? Any bets?

I'll be long drive for TD, but I'm not confident at all in that prediction.

Coclough gave Givens way too much cushion on that 3rd and short. I saw that quick out coming a mile away.

That 2 point conversion for Dallas shouldn't count. Key had his right foot up when he caught the ball. That one should come back.
