I liked the guy that said he won some 2002 WSOP event... then gets beaten by someone who didn't even realize what they had. That was pretty funny.

But yeah, that episode wasn't all that great... just sort of a mechanism to try and get Pam and Jim together. I don't know what happens next year... but I hope it's not a she leaves her current boyfriend at the altar kind of thing... that's been way overdone.

I'd like to believe that the staff of the Office isn't desperate enough to steal ideas from "Drew Carey."

On another note, I didn't watch all of Earl, but caught the last 20 minutes of it. Did anyone catch what Catalina said at the end of the show in Spanish? I think she said something about thank you for watching the first season of Earl and they'll be back in October.

They've both been renewed for 22 episodes next season.

With this, we conclude the first season of Earl. We're very grateful that you've joined us, and we expect to see you next fall!

After watching it again,

probably the best line on the office finale: Michael: "Two Queens on casino night, I'm gonna drop a deuce on everybody.'"

And Kevin's band Scrantonicity was awesome, I hope their music video gets on the NBC website or the DVD release. Michael learning ebonics was great too... dinken flicka.

That line was gold. The thing I like about the Office is that it doesn't occasionally mind making you cringe. Michael's interaction with Jan and the Real Estate lady was brutal. I couldn't watch when all three were together. I mean brutal in the nicest way. I think the British show was even worse (or better) in this manner, but its rare for an American comedy. I absolutely love the Jim and Pam thing, though I would have preferred if they kind of held this kiss off for a year or so, but otherwise, it's one of the best done relationships I've ever seen in a comedy. It just seems so real, like something we can all relate to, it's like torture sometimes watching Jim. And contrary to some thing's I've read elsewhere, I prefer th American Jim and Pam to their British counterparts. I never really felt the whole courtship in the British version, I never really got a feeling as to they were really that close.

right. that didn't really come across for me in the british version until the specials. but you also have to consider they had much less time to work with. there were only 12 episodes + the 2 specials in the british version. and my favorite character of both versions is still Keith.

Yeah, I agree, but even in the first 6 episodes of The US Office it seemed far more realistic to me.

well, if they copy any other storylines over from the UK office, it HAS to be Michael releasing a single. seeing that music video of David Brent was just priceless. but I wouldn't want them to do the whole thing with him getting forced out of his job, that was weak.

I was really impressed by the second season of the Office. After the few episodes last year I figured it'd turn out being a decent show, but it is one of the best on TV as far as I'm concerned.

I'm really against the Jim and Pam thing working out for 'Happily Ever After.' I've known of many office romances where a 'partnered person' and a single get friendly. They most often end with one or both going on to new jobs and never seeing each other again. That's why I thought the Jim to the home office job was a realistic way of ending--if not a ratings booster. Kind of an end of the show move.

But that would be real and The Office is more real in its overblown way that any family sitcom. I wish next season could be the last, with the final episode be "where are they now scene" in which a fat-from-having-six-kids and still married to forklift boy Pam spots Jim picking out china with his fiancee. Pam walks to him and hears Jim make a cutting remark to fiancee which Pam overhears. As she walks to him, happy, he blows past her and doesn't even recognize her.

That would satisfy me.

I assume that Pam went into the Office and walked over to Jim's desk because she was thinking about what he just told her.

Its a sports/drama based on the book/movie of the same name.

Friday Night Lights
Drama
Friday Night Lights focuses on the high school football program in the small town of Dillon, Texas. This year, the Dillon Panthers are expected to go all the way. That's a lot of pressure for Eric Taylor in his first year as coach. Nevertheless, he's ready and willing to mold these boys into champions and encourage them to be better men. Brought to you by Peter Berg and Brian Grazer, this family drama is all about achievement, heartache, friendship and tough love. (Source: NBC press release)

Meh. I hope the rest of America wakes up and realized what I thought of Deal Or No Deal after about two episodes - it's so tired I can't stand it already.

Dunno why Scrubs doesn't get more love...

Hmmm.. is this a reality show type of deal or a fictional account of the high school team? I'd rather it be the later.

edit: It'd help if I clicked the link... yes, it IS a fictional drama.

John Lithgow ("3rd Rock from the Sun") and Jeffrey Tambor ("Arrested Development") star in "20 Good Years," which is about two middle-aged men who set out to make the most of their impending golden years. Its producers include "Cosby Show" veteran Michael Leeson and Marsh McCall ("Just Shoot Me," "Modern Men").

Well, that's the definite death to "Arrested", but it will be interesting to see these two working together.

I figured AD was done after Hurwitz declined Showtime's offer, but it still sucks .

Though Lithgow and Tambor should be fun to watch.. as long as the writers don't mess things up.

Awesome. We were in the process of moving and didn't have a fixed address otherwise I would've ordered one. I will now along with that Deal or No Deal game. Also, ign reports:

Quote:
June 28, 2006 - The Office may have ended its second season last month but that doesn't mean that "work" at Dunder Mifflin stops this summer. Beginning Thursday, July 13, NBC.com will be hosting a series of exclusive webisodes, so Office fans can get a fix before the third season premieres this fall. A new 2- to 3-minute webisode will be posted each Thursday, for 10 weeks.

In the first webisode, the Dunder Mifflin accounting staff -- Angela (Angela Kinsey), Kevin (Brian Baumgartner) and Oscar (Oscar Nuņez) -- discover that $3,000 is missing from the Scranton office, and it's up to the accountants to find the culprit. Also appearing in the webisodes will be Dwight (Rainn Wilson), Jan Levinson (Melora Hardin), Phyllis (Phyllis Smith), Meredith (Kate Flannery), Stanley (Leslie David Baker) and Roy (David Denman).
