Coffee Warlord comes up...he had that big double back in the 7th...but he falls behind in the count, and albionmoonlight nails down another K...

Here's Masked...with the RBI single to his credit...and HE goes down swinging, as the Elitist starter goes out with a flourish, striking out the side! We go to the bottom of the 9th, still 2-0.

We need to place some type of friendly wager on this. If the hattrickers win, they have to at the very least sign up for a hattrick team.

If somehow we lose, we'll have to do something degrading...although nothing comes to mind.

Ugh, first we play in Chavez ravine, now you bring up the Rally Monkey. As a Giants fan, I'm going to have to swallow my pride for this series, I guess.

Looking for a little spark off the bench, Elitist manager Chief Rum calls on Bearcat729 to pinch hit...duckman stares the new opponent down, then fires...here's a drive to right...racing over is Masked...and he's GOT IT. Two down, and the Elitists are down to their last out.

Yes, here's gstelmack, a .269 hitter, batting for the first time...the count goes to 2-2...duckman's pitch is popped into left...this should be the ballgame...Ardent positions himself under it...and SQUEEZES IT!!! Game over, man, game over. A 2-0 win for the visitors!

The Hattrickers steal one in Chavez Ravine, going up 1-0 in the Series on an impressive 5-hit shut-out by duckman.

Managers, post your rosters whenever you can.

Woo! Nice win guys. I'll have game 2's lineup posted later tonight after I dissect it a little. A couple of different guys (sorry, tk, not that you'd get offended but I'm gonna be using guys as the generic pronoun) will get some time. At least one off the top of my head but I haven't looked too indepth.

Anyone know a good program for compiling a box score with? I think this might call for Google. I'm a sucker for box scores since I can see more that way.

Hattrickers Game Two Lineup

We've got some issues since three starters are bad against lefties. The core of the lineup remains the same. Ardent, CW, and Masked will be in every game unless something goes horribly wrong. TP gets moved up to 2nd in the lineup since he's a pretty good hitter and a righty, to boot. I was tempted to take out Jeebs since he struggles against lefties, but I couldn't do it after he got the homer last game. Kingfc and YoSoySean get in their first games since both are good hitters and righties so they should do well against the lefties the next two days. I think we're putting out a better lineup than day 1 but a lot of that hinges on how poorly JeeberD and Katon do against lefties.

Starting Lineup

CF Katon
(LH; OF)
C TargetPractice6 (RH; C)
LF ardent enthusiast (RH; OF)
1B Coffee Warlord (LH; 1B)
RF Masked (RH; OF)
3B JeeberD (LH; 3B/OF-)
2B YoSoySean (RH; 2B/3B/SS)
SS kingfc22 (RH; SS)
P blade6119

Bench

tucker rocky (LH;
SS/3B-/2B-/1B-)
bbor (LH;
1B/OF)
hhiipp (LH; C)
Mr. Wednesday (SW; OF)
mckerney (RH; 2B/3B/SS)
Raven Hawk (LH; 2B/3B-)

After much consideration, here is the Elitist lineup for Game Two...

LF Swaggs
CF MrBug
1B kcchief
RF heybrad
3B Schmidty
C Bearcat79
SS Shorty
2B Maple Leafs
P bsak16

I made some changes in the hopes of injecting a little more offense into the lineup today. Rest assured, deposed starters are still my regular starters. Go Elitists!
