It's off this week, unless someone wants to download the savegame from me and host. I can't run it on my machine tonight, actually have to do some work tonight, thusly tying up my resources.
Getting food poisoning a week before a major website goes live sucks. Last edited by Coffee Warlord : 09-24-2006 at 07:50 PM. |

Seems that way. Oh well. Time for some Civ 4, then.

I think this is pretty much dead. With the very few people around last week, and the fact it's just so damn slow with that many people, I think we take this as a learning experience and wait for FM2007.

I'm afraid that it was just too slow for me. I also have completely forgotten about this the past two weeks until it's already been going, so I haven't stepped in. Do we have any idea if FM2007 will work better?

Yeah, it sounds like a great idea, but just doesn't work in practice. I think it comes down to the fact that a "real time" sports sim is not a very good MP game, especially when you have to all play at the same time. I can't see FM 2007 being any different.

there was just too many folks. FM style games work best when there's 5 or less I think

Yeah, but 5 guys in an entire FM universe is almost like playing SP anyway, isn't it? Especially after one or two seasons (with promotion/relegation) where there's a chance you're not even in the same division anymore.
