from what little I could get from the "rules", the higher your fitness, the less chance you run of getting injured. Since we're all starting out, I'd guess we pretty much all have fairly low fitness, certainly nothing like outstanding and above, so the risk of getting injured is probably quite high...

I wonder if it would make sense to train nothing but fitness to get it up to a certain level and then try to get in 4 or 5 practice days per week? Using the club pro skills are eroding quickly enough that its hard to see how to get your skills up high enough to start making any money before you run out. Of course, fitness training for awhile and then more training on top of that would drain funds even quicker, so its risky. |

never thought I'd say that about a golf text sim, but yeah that could be one strategy. Thing is, we don't really know how high the fitness needs to be to really save yourself from injuries, or even if that's how it works. I'm still pondering what to train on a day to day basis. Is it better to have three very high skills and only maintain the other, or try to be a good all around good player? There are some interesting dilemmas. I mean, one could be the John Daly of EasyPar and only train in driving, three times a week, but then kind of suck on every other aspect of his game... FM

the tee times are up for the Indonesian event:

Remember, these are Sweden's time or 6 hours later than eatern time so 14:00 is 8am eastern. Double good news for me as I play with vex and our tee time is late enough that we will be able to follow it live FM

holy moly! Don't know what I did overnight, but take a look at my player profile, especially the form part...
Quote:
I had always been in weak form ever since I started playing the game, maybe that explained my flurry of +6 rounds, or at least I would hope so I also see that I'm now ranked 650th in the world, woop-dee-do. I think it's the first time I've ever seen a ranking there. What's everybody else's TSI? FM

My training strategy atm is to train up my player kinda like HT. I'm focusing on one skill (putting, atm). Right now, this is killing me in competitions, but I really think it will help me out in the long run. I've decided to only train another skill when/if they drop down to passable.

I'm taking the "all around" training approach right now using a Club Pro to train. I still have a crappy caddie but that's going to change soon. Driving excellent 7 Long Irons excellent 7 Mid Irons outstanding 9 Short Irons excellent 7 Short Game excellent 7 Putting excellent 7 Fitness excellent 7

that's odd, I could have sworn that when my puttin and driving both went brilliant(10) on back to back days, both were at formidable(8) before practicing. Anyway, I've started a spreadsheet (I know, who would have guessed ) to track my training/skill drops on a daily basis. Will not have much to add as far as skill increases over the next 6 days since I just got done with my 3 in 6 routine, but still, we'll start documenting stuff...

Crim with solid experience is in inadequate form and calm in temperament. Crim has a Total Skill Index of 1049 and is ranked number 918 in the world.
Crim has played in one Easypar tournament, and did so poorly that he was nearly ejected from the grounds, due to being mistaken for a homeless man whilst wading in a pond looking for his Ping. Crim sucks and has little outlook for improvement, due to his lack of attention span and poor work ethic. Crim would be better served taking up the "sport" of Miniature Golf. The Easypar administration looks forward with anticipation to the day when Crim's funds finally dry up and he is forced to leave the Tour, wearing his abject failure like a badge of honor. Sheesh, this profile was pretty detailed. That stings a bit. |
