Chris Wells is starting to remind me of Earl Campbell. Huge legs, looks slow as hell on tv but simply rolls over people like a panzer on autopilot...

A few plays later, bad exchange between Spanos and Booty that resulted in a fumble that Washington would have recovered, but a false start saved them. Lucky.

Spanos and Booty had a lot of problems with the exchange in spring practice as well. Sheesh.

Touchdown Washington. Locker scores it on his own.

USC just responded quickly. The passing game looked much better this drive. Booty to Turner for a 23 yard TD to tie it up.

Knee was down but the officials still called it a TD. Auburn up on Florida 14-0.
Go Auburn! Go Washington!

With all this craziness, im glad Mizzou is on a bye-week. Now, all i need is for Arizona State to not slip at Stanford and this will be a great week in my eyes. Up the top 25 both go

Stafon has 6 carries for 77 yards so far. Hopefully, the offense will feature him more in the 2nd half.

Can anyone tell me what this penalty was exactly? Good/bad call? Quote:
Fine with me, make us earn our way back in. I think we'll be in those last 5 though... What a horrible, horrible game. Don't really know where to start. I'm sure a lot of people will come out and say that this team isn't that good, and was just a product of the shitty start to the schedule. I really don't think that's true; I do think we're very good and can challenge pretty much every team in the country. That said (and this isn't taking anything away from Maryland) I think this is the kind of thing that happens when you don't play at least a somewhat competitive schedule to start the season -- when you can easily bully around both lines, you're not as prepared as you should be for a real team. We got DESTROYED on both sides of the line all day, and it should never be that way with the talent disparity on the lines (and Maryland's OL has been hurt by injuries and Gaither going to the NFL early). I think if we play this game 10 more times it's a very different story. Unfortunately, we can't. Hopefully this real competition was the wake-up call necessary before BE play. Cincy comes into town next week. We ran the ball 23 times, and that was way too much. Our passing game was on fire and we just didn't go there enough. I'm sorry OC McNulty, but you can't score 2 TDs on long passing drives in 2 minutes to end the first half, and come out in the 2nd half running the ball straight into the line twice. We're not a turnover team -- 3 was way way too many. TE Shamar Graves will hopefully learn from his mistakes...3 drops from what I saw, all of which would have led to first downs and much more but ended up stalling drives. Good game Terps. You ran it down our throats. Last edited by Logan : 09-29-2007 at 08:39 PM. |

Booty throws a pick that was Havili's fault as it bounced off his hands and Washington returns it for a TD to tie it up.

USC has to settle for a FG. 17-14 with only 20 seconds left. USC gets the ball to start the 2nd half. Despite a few miscues, I like what I've seen from the team in the 2nd quarter.

USC sure is having their way. Looks like Washington is fading a lot like they did against Ohio State.

Final in Fayetteville. 100 yard interception return for a touchdown at the end of the game and it ends 66-7 Arkansas over North Texas.
Over 400 yards rushing and 3 different players were over 100 yards rushing (including the guy that is normally 4th in the depth chart). |

It was very badly overthrown, so I can understand Pete protesting. Once Jake develops some accuracy, Washington is going to be a dangerous team. |

Locker needs to get accurate. He's got Jake Plummer-itis. But, they need some receivers and a semblence of a running game would be nice.
