There are so many awesome moments in that show, but I loved that song (and whenever Kermit sang), so there ya go.
I was going to take Kermit as a performer this round. Great pick.

Awesome episode, the end was chilling, with Sam saving Jackie' life. Great pick, you may have stolen my vote with that

Totally disagree.

Are you saying that episode is one of the great moments in Television history?

Please.

I loved Quantum Leap. But I'm a sci-fi nerd. Ask ten Americans and nine of them have never seen or, probably, even heard of it.

When stacked up with the other moment picks, it'll be a clear flub.

No, not one of the greatest moment in TV history, but one of my favourite shows of all time, and my favourite episodes (2-parter) from that show. Im not a sci-fi nerd, but i love Quantam Leap. Not really sure how you can critisize my own personal taste. To eaches own i guess. And it's a flub that stole my vote.

OK, so I'm out of contact with the Internet for 20 hours and all of you make selections like the Hattrick forum is on fire and spreading throughout the server, but I dutifully check in and nobody has done jack squat. Well done.

In case you can't tell I'm being sarcastic.

Well, I have just recieved an email from Maple Leafs that he has had some real life events that are going to cause him to pull out of the draft. He has asked me to take over the draft, and to have someone take his spot in the draft.

Now that I'm in control, things might get a little more draconian around here.

Shall we recruit someone to take Leafs' spot?

(I hope he's okay, by the way.)

Yep. If someone has interest, please PM me ASAP.

Also, if things continue to crawl like this and people don't send in picks, I am going to institute a time-limit.

I'm in favor of that. They just continue to lose their slot until they pick. We can call it The Viking Rule.

Great idea.

There will be a 5 hour time limit for those that have not sent their picks in. It will be instituted by 8 pm PST tonight, but will not be in effect from the hours of 8 pm PST and 8 am PST (11 EST and 11 EST).

You can send your pick to others in the draft that aren't close enough to steal the pick or picks on your lists. Ideally, someone outside of the draft will volunteer to take the picks and post them if they are around.

Show - Comedy - Friends

In later years, it became almost a parody of itself, but at its top it gave us a (slightly unbelievable) cast of characters. I really don't need to take a comedy show given my draft, but this is too long to leave it on the board IMO.

Due to a big-time major league real-life crisis of my own, I'm totally & completely lost ... well, almost anyway

I found the post where ML was called away & handed things off to Schmidty, so I'll address this to him (although if somebody else wants to take a crack at answering, please feel free): When would my next pick likely be up? I mean, my next pick +/- whatever time limit you're working with?

If possible, I'd like to continue (my brain & my nerves could use a pleasant break) but it's going to be at least several hours before I can start working up a revised draft list that would keep me within in category limits AND still have enough choices so that I'm not the one holding things up.

So ... ballpark timeline/timetable please?

My next pick will be made fairly quickly, Schmidty has a list with one pick on it, as long as WSUCougar doesn't take that If he does, I'm checking the board at worst every 30 minutes or so.

Need to get a couple key weaknesses shored up, so here goes nothing:

6.10: Performer, drama, James Garner (Rockford Files)

and

7.1: Moment, drama, St. Elsewhere's final episode when it's revealed that the show was all an autistic boy's imagination.

Thanks Schmidty, I'm looking it over & believe I still have
#5, #7, and #8 as alive/available/valid picks
and #6 appears to be alive as my "wildcard" pick (even though I've used up the "show" category).

Hopefully that'll hold me through at least two more rounds, and then (real-life permitting) I'll try to PM you with a refreshed list sometime tonight.

Well, Crapshoot is in the thread, so if he makes his pick before you leave, you can go ahead and pick (in case you change your mind about a pick on your list).

6th round pick
Moment, Other, " I saw it in the window and just couldn't resist it." -- Carol Burnett Show -- of all the moments of this incomparable variety show, none is more remembered than this classic line from the spoof of Gone With the Wind.

Dammit, I checked the list twice & didn't see it
edit to add: Naturally, I was checking the list on the first page, not the one just a couple of pages back. My bad, I saw your updated list but forgot about it when I was checking.

Updated 6th round pick --

Moment, Other, "Racer X identity revealed" -- Yeah, it's a kids show. Yeah, it's a cartoon. And I still believe this reveal from Speed Racer is one of the more memorable moments in TV history.
