I never thought I'd see .500 again...... It seems the D-3 teams are just beating each other up.

I've lost 4 in a row to D-3 teams on the road, 32 more road games in a row to go. :/

My Manchester Silver Bullets just reached the 40 win mark!! We're proving to be strong at home with a 21=4 mark. But not as good on the road with a 19-13 record. Our team avg is .270 and an ERA in the mid 3's.

I'm afraid of your team, if things stay the way they are we're going to have to start calling you George Steinbrenner.

Is there anything involved in financials aside from payroll? I read where a popular player brings in more attendance. I don't see anywhere that it translates to more dollars for the team, however. The scouting & development is all based on how much you don't spend, under the cap. So is attendance & popularity pretty much just fluff then?

Anyone had an injury yet?

I've had players at -69% stamina...but no actual injuries.

How did your relief pitcher manage to get a save in a 26 run rout?

I believe the official rules are that a relief pitcher is eligible for a save if he pitches 3 full innings and finishes the gameregardless of the score.

the documentation i read said 5 real days after the draft list is posted, regardless of the number of games per day on the schedule. Course, I forget when the draft list was posted.

The draft was posted 40 games, 5 real days into the season.

The draft takes place 5 real days, or 40 games, after the draft is posted.

In short, we draft when game 80 or 81 rolls around. A mid-season June draft.

Nobody can touch my team's pitching.

Looks like we are battling for a wild card spot if noone can catch the Silver Bullets in Div2.

Draft is done. I'm not sure how I got the guy I did at #1, I was trying to set it up so I would get a youngin, none of this 24 year old middle of the road talent BS.

Since I was drafting last, I don't even know how were ranked the ones I drafted...

I like my 2nd and 3rd rounders (even if I don't really need a defensive SS) but don't know if my 1st rounder is going to do anything good (superb throwing power but that's all)

I was picking 2nd to last. I'm actually rather pleased. I got my 10th ranked player (23rd), 20th ranked player (47th), and my 58th ranked player (71st).

I set up the rankings before I read in the rules, where, if you start a player at a position for 80 games, he switches to that position the next season. Still, I'm very happy with the talent I got. Now, if I'd only known that you couldn't adjust your spending priorities during the season . . .

I bet my #1 overall pick was a bit of a surprise. Simple. I wanted a solid starter to come into my rotation immediatly for the 2nd half. I had a black hole at the #4 slot in my rotation, so there ya go. We'll see how he performs.

My other picks should be decent players in a season or two. The CF I got may see time next season, considering he's the only true leadoff hitter we have, and already rated high at plate discipline. The 3rd round pitcher...give it a few seasons, and he'll be a #4-#5 starter.

The guys I got suck. One of them may one day make a servicable player, but he'll never be above average. Ugh...

Hmm...not the best start for the #1 overall draft pick.

5 runs, 3 walks, 8 hits, 7 k's in 7.0 innings of work.

I doon'y know about that. The 7 K's are encouraging. You don't really expect him to have any polish yet, do you?

That game is weird sometimes, a few pitching bugs : my closer plays 1/3 of an inning, makes 3 strikes, no hit, but doesn't get a K ??? see it here

The third strike was when the ball was put in play on an 0-2 count for the final out.

At the risk of jinxing myself, we are on a tear. Playing a major homestand, and have vaulted from 3rd to 1st. I hope it can continue.

Div 2 is definatly where the best teams play!

After a 3 game sweep of the Vatos, Palm Desert closes out their ungodly 40 game road trip with a big test against league leading Victorville.

The team is itching to get this trip over with, as they haven't seen their homes since May.

edit: And bah. Division 4 is the powerhouse here! I'll sweep this series to prove it!

Time to break out the Prozac

Sitting in last place of Division 1 and thinking things couldn't get mush worse, I notice that in 3 days we begin a 33 game road trip.

How low can we go?

Coffee, an 11-1 loss is a great way to start a series. And how you establish dominance, I am in awe.

BTW in my massive homestand I am 32-16.

We were 16-6 in our last road series and are about to go on the road again.

Somehow, after being in the cellar, I have recovered and am now tied for first place in Div 3. What the hell happened to the rest of you guys in that division?
